Had a maiden run with a meme RNG/thief priest I put together, very first game I faced Hadronox druid. Needless to say, by the end of the game, I had his Hadronox and a taunt wall of Lich Kings.
I know it's not much of an achievement, but I finally climbed to rank 5! Crazy day--I only needed one more win to get there, but I lost to a Hunter (figures...) and proceeded to lose 2 more games. But I followed that up with 4 straight wins, and I'm finally a few ranks closer to legend!
Rank Legend comes closer and closer. Tomorrow I will enter heroic mode and I expect to see various aggro decks and lots of tryharders. I expect to see many "friend" requests coming from sore losers. It will certainly be a challenge and tbh I don't know if I will make it, but BOI the journey was really fun. I have reached legend before (4 times with control warlock in standard), but never before have I climbed so high with a half-serious deck. I really enjoyed the times, when I played as warlock, but I didn't have the possibility to goof around like I do now with this deck. In the past I played steal priest only in casual or in the lower wild ranks. But what joy is to annoy others on the ladder with a greedy strategy like this. I think I can describe this feeling with a video:
Anyway here are some of today's moments:
I never thought this would turn into a ridiculous game, else I would have taken more screenshots. So, let me begin the explanation:
Since I run a lot of stealing deathrattle minions, one of those gave me Play Dead. I was just about to coin out Sludge Belcher, when I drew Sylvanas Windrunner. I thought of this combo-wombo potential, but decided to stick to developing a board (i.e. playing belcher) and not being greedy, since my opponent was playing hunter after all. On turn 6 I played Sylvanas and after some trades I managed to steal a Carnivorous Cube that had swallowed Devilsaurs. I cast Play Dead on it and had a nice board. My opponent had his own Sylvanas and they tried to get their cube back by playing their own Play Dead on her, but sadly for them they missed and I Entomb-ed her. Twilight's Call into the other stealing deathrattle, into Deathstalker Rexxar. In the mean time I was listening to this song:
My beloved hunter opponent decided to play a 9/9 King Krush, which of course got Entomb-ed as well.
Blizzard, give Anduin the demon enslaver title. Geez:
inb4 take a look at the golden Amara, Warden of Hope for a moment. That's right, I stole Zola the Gorgon for a second time. So with 2 big heals and half of their deck, what could they possibly do to beat me?
Wow, that's a cool looking combo. It would be a shame, if someone kept their DK just for this moment. :P .............................................................................................................................................................................................
And a quick mention for my last two games. So I faced this Reno mage, that obviously tech-ed 3 polymorphs against big priest. Kinda felt bad for them, that they had no chances against me (especially after I played Archbishop Benedictus on curve). After I played him, my opponent paused for a while. They were probably thinking how they don't have any chances in out-valuing me anymore. And can you imagine the surprise for both of us after we got matched for a second time? My opponent was exceptionally pleased seeing Archbishop Benedictus being played on curve again (tbh he was on turn 6 with The Coin). Right afterwards my opponent paused again. I would like to think, that they were raging about getting matched against me for a second time and that I had my old pal Benedictus early on, that they were going to lose yet another star. So in that moment of sorrow, they decided to change their strategy. They started hitting me in the face. And tbh my opponent did the right thing, but sadly for them I had healing potions and Amara.
I have to admit, that my opponent was a fighter in both games. In the second one he stayed, until their fatigue counter reached 10.
I have no idea where in the North America region it's still Sunday at 0937 GMT but wherever it was, thank you for keeping Tavern Brawl open for me to get my card-back!

No pics this time, because my games weren't exciting at all. I was right about the aggro MUs - from rank 1* to 1**** I faced 3 even shamans (which is mid-range but still), then a pirate warrior twice (won a game and lost a game), played against Big Priest and against Even Shaman again. In all of those games (except the Big Priest) I just played an ordinary control deck and tried to survive. There's nothing worth noting.

There is nothing I like more than making a Big Priest player rage quit luuuuuuuuuuuuullllllllllllll (played Prince Taldaram on Mal'Ganis and Cubed the copy of Mal'Ganis because he wasted his only Silence on a Voidlord)
Had the hunter quest normally play token druid ATM but needed three wins for the gold. Posting in the pepper thread as i won but how can this be right on turn 4 ?
If I knew this game would go out of hand, I would have taken more screenshots. So I face this even shaman on the ladder. My hand was pretty bad - 1 Entomb, 1 Psychic Scream, 1 Crystalline Oracle and I think Sylvanas Windrunner? I got The Lich King from that oracle. So, anyway, my opponent was casually buiding a board and pressuring me. I managed to top-deck Mass Hysteria on turn 5, which left the biggest minion on the board (Thing from Below), but I managed to survive yet another turn and to cast my other big AoEs. So imagine their frustration, when they couldn't kill me from 7 health and had to deal with their lich king and other BS.
It was fun watching a Hakkar/Quest Priest die to all the Corrupted Bloods shuffled into his deck, all while I didn't draw a single one in 5+ turns. Merry Christmas, bitch!
I’d like to thank all the players at rank 17-18 who allow me to farm 100 g a day with my coin flip rez priest. I love all of your incessant emoting while flipping the coin and I lose. I had to wait months to drop from legend to this tank and I’m quite pissed blizzard took away rank 25 for me. I’m currently using my 8 year old to play for me as well when I get bored. We take turns flipping the coin and he loves it when he can play Barnes and just wins. Thanks blizzard for the free pack a day plus the quest gold. Nothing like flipping a coin for free packs. F2P rolling solid gold decks and here’s to another 200 free packs when the next fail xpan rolls out. All of you trying hard just remember the 8 year-old just beat you.
Too funny....

Right after I made that post, I drew Keleseth and my opponent conceded before I could play it.

Feels good, man.
Though this new card Soulwarden kinda potentialy rains on my parade.
Farming Hunters with Mage and Rogue, FeelsFreakingGoodMan.
Great art can never be created without great suffering.

These people who lucky things happened to them are the opponents of the salt thread people
Steal Priest vs Reno Mage (with bunch of greedy inclusions like Luna's Pocket Galaxy).
So my opponent played The Lich King, whom I Entombed. Death Grip pulled my Sylvanas Windrunner, they played her and Toki, Time-Tinker on the following turn. Why I'm saying all of this?
(sorry for the "my turn" part; you can see sylvanas in the back
You don't see this sh*t in standard.
There is nothing I like more than making a Big Priest player rage quit luuuuuuuuuuuuullllllllllllll (played Prince Taldaram on Mal'Ganis and Cubed the copy of Mal'Ganis because he wasted his only Silence on a Voidlord)

geeettttttt
memed on,
Even Shaman!!!

And now listen to this RNG fiesta - they play Lotus Agents from Blazing Invocation from Hagatha the Witch. I Entomb their agents, but they managed to find a removal for the LK (Lesser Onyx Spellstone). A couple of turns later I play this minion, get Raven Idol into discover a spell, get Resurrect into
Here I decide to cast Death Grip:
I was at 7 health on turn 6 and I managed to win by memeing on my opponent. God, how I love this deck.
I crafted Spiteful Summoner again to try to rock out some Spiteful Druid because of the nerfs. I have went 2-0 so far. Feels good, man.
I was in a tough spot in that game all because of Loatheb. Unfortunately for my opponent, his threatening board wasn't deadly for me. I won ofc. :P
[edit] And now here's my game with poggo rogue.
Not so tough w/o your Level Up!, are ya?
