Soo I was pretty salty about this weeks Brawl so i went ranting in the salt thread that there are no opponents that would seem to cooperate. After that I received a couple of offers from other players that wanted to add me and play Brawl with me. Im genuinely happy about Hearthpwn and its community ɷ◡ɷ
I remembered about the borrowing deck mechanics today and ended up playing an Academic Espionage mirror and also a Shuffle rogue mirror. Both matches were just absolute shitfests it was hysterical. In the shuffle mirror, I ended up stabilizing the board, yet he still had like 6 bombs in my deck, and so I tried to Lab Recruiter up to a large amount of cards in deck, ended up getting to 32, then still drew a chain of bombs. I love that card but jeez does it like to cheat on me. Still a great time and if any of you get the ability to do it, I'd recommend trying it out.
Edit: Dueling some more friends, they played a Seaforium Bomber, I played a Storm Chaser hoping to get a volcano, and look, what a surprise, turns out the storm chaser can draw the bomb, killing me in the process instead of getting me a removal. I know I should be upset but this is still fucking hilarious to me for some reason.
Truly blessed by RNGesus playing against a bomber Hunter with Thief Rogue. Hallucination pulls me an Abominable Bowman, then next turn two plays of Pick Pocket gets me King Krush & Terrorscale Stalker. So ended up getting 3 Kks after playing then double resurrect of AB. Just amazing
Pogo Rogue turns out to be not only viable, but amazing fun to play.
It can have problem if aggro gets going too quick, but there are ways to counter that... (annoy O factory)
All the rogue decks are awesome and this is a cause for celebration.... as if trump had me worried for a minute when he 1 starred all the rogue cards. that dude must be terrible at HS man, does he ever get anything right? ha ha.
I'm winning with my bad Boommaster Flark deck, yey! :) Its just 13-13, but today i had a winning streak... bombs, we need more bombs, bombs! *giggle*
And fuck all the locks, over 50% warlocks only. Between rank 5-1 zoo, at legendary rank controllocks. There are other classes too, really.
I faced one yesterday. He'd have beat me if I'd not tied him up in the sonya+giggling inventor mess. he had no way of activating all his bombs in the end and just gave up :D
great looking deck though as long as you don't run into someone making infinite 1 cost giggling inventors as tech :D
Been running a homebrew secret hunter in wild around rank 1 (which often had 3-5 secrets down at a time) and encountered and beat a pretty well-known wild streamer/player named RenoJackson three times as he was running a mage deck. I matched against him again and found he had tech'd in two Eater of Secrets pretty much exclusively for the matchup against me since there's almost no other secrets being played in wild. It's a good feeling knowing my deck shaped his choices!
Today i was playing an odd control warrior at the floor of rank 5. I saw my opponent was rank six and figured they might be at 5 stars since they were matched with me. My deck easily handled the zoolock and I was extending the game to play more cards and have fun. I decided to concede the game on the off chance that they were actually at 5 stars because that 200 dust increase at the end of the month is pretty nice. I added them afterwards and sure enough they were now rank 5. I felt good about that because ive been there before.
Subject 9 is really good. I feel kinda bad for underrating this card now xD
In Wild it's insane. Drop Cloaked Huntress followed by Subject 9 and the opponent doesn't know what hit them. Well, I say that, but they find out over the next turn or two...
Played what felt like the longest game of Hearthstone ever, a mirror matchup with Control Warrior. We both stacked upwards of 30 armor so the game dragged on and on, the difference was I played Dead Man's Hand early on that gave me duplicates of Scourgelord Garrosh and Dr. Boom, Mad Genius. My opponent dropped a Mecha'thun via The Boomship which I dispatched with a Brawl, and I thought "Ah he's gonna concede now, he lost his win condition." But the dude bravely pushed on while his cards ran out, leading me to think he has another Mecha'thun in his hand that he'll spring at the last minute. He eventually conceded, but not before making me sweat about that potential OTK.
Was playing in Wild with a garbage Seaforium Bomber deck and I faced off against this guy (I'mma assume he's a guy) named Kilroy who was playing a hunter deck. He ended up getting a Boommaster Flark. I didn't really pay much attention to that since most people can't capitalize on the bombs and he barely drew (He Stitched Trackered and that was it). Anyway, turn 8 comes along, this mad man pulls out a Nechromechanic, Tentacle of N'zoth, and feint deaths, dealing 32 damage to me on turn 8. As a fan of combo decks, I broke out laughing and added him after the game to just say I loved his deck. Turns out he is a pretty chill person and we had a nice talk before he had to leave.
If you see this post Kilroy, thanks for making my day.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.

I just hit legend with the deck in my signature. That card is killer in the deck, not only because it has the MC effect with Cloaked Huntress (except stronger!) but also because it thins the deck and allows you to get to DK Rexxar. Between that card, double Tracking and two Quick Shots, you can get through 13 of the cards in your deck which is insane...
Two of my last three games before hitting legend were against a pirate warrior. I used to loathe them but when you drop 4 3/3 wolves on the board, kill the 4/3 charges with Snipe, and block the weapon hits with Wandering Monsters, it just crushes their spirit. Such a fitting end to my push.
To add more pepper in, this was my first time hitting legend AND I went on a 22 game win streak at one point during the climb.
It seems to turn out that acquiring Doom Pact from your Lich King is really nice when you're trying out Mecha'thun Warlock and you get everything ready early. I barely beat a Shudderwock Shaman due to a single proc from my Lich King. Six cards were destroyed, but I already had Bloodbloom, Catacylsm, two Galvanizer reductions, and Mecha'thun in hand, so I was able to kill him several scary turns later without a single Shudderwock played from my opponent.
Shudderwock: What's taking so long?
Me: It's high noon, Mecha'thun. (Excuse the McCree reference; I like how it rhymes.)

162 ladder wins with Renouncelock and counting! Reno, Zoo, Cube, Even; they all run Renounce Darkness in my lists!
You have to love the arrogance of a togswaggle druid player who ramps with biology project on turn 1, going second. To compound this, he uses all his branching paths to draw cards. I guess someone who doesn't even acknowledge the other side of the board wouldn't think his opponent could do anything with 4 Mana on turn 2.

Reached my highest rank yet, #364 legend! And had fun while doing it too :)

I love to play Control Warlock to trigger all zoo players. Its just satisfying to clear the board with defile and slam down Skull of Man'ari.
Had 4 rage quits already :)

How to beat a Shudderwock Shaman with a Control Mage?
1. Play Sindragosa.
2. Get Emeriss and Leeroy Jenkins.
3. Profit.

Poor Hunter that played his Wandering Monster. Got an Howlfiend and lost his two spellstones out of it. I felt bad for him.
Next game a Zoolock that traded my minion with Soulfire, bye bye Guldan!!! Insta concede. I did not felt bad for him :p
Turns out Shudderwock/Evolve/Token Shaman is fun to play!
The outcome of this arena match was IMPRESSIVE!
