I finally reached legend 2 days ago, after playing since the game went live :)
I started this season in rank 8 and been playing alot to reach legend this month. It was a real struggle at rank 2 and 1. I used the same deck every match. I used my recruit hunter and went something around 120wins and 80loses with a winrate at 65%
Hitting rank 5 is extremely easy. It's not even a feat anymore. I can't imagine how bad someone has to be to struggle getting there.
I think its very rude say someone is bad because they struggle getting rank 5. Its not that easy. And some players just don't have a Tier 1-2 deck and stay on lower ranks completing quests to craft something good. I'm a free player and can this was my case. I comeback to HS four months ago and reached rank 10, rank 5, rank 2 and finally legend this season :)
I might not be ranking up all that fast on the US Server but it's damn funny when I can slam a 10/2 angry chicken in my opponent's face to take the win.
Played a Thoughtsteal deck in wild against a mill rogue. He let me play Archbishop three times for whatever reason. Feels good to have a 43 card deck against a mill opponent with a 9 card deck. The best part was that the douche started the match spamming the Wow emote at every play I made. For some reason, he stopped after my second Archbishop... weird! Ah, felt good when the bitch conceded!
Someone needs to let the bads know that they are in fact, bad.
Right, because Rank 5 is so "bad".
I logged in to let a-holes know that they are in fact, a-holes.
To the OP: Congrats!
Apparently stating the truth makes one an A-hole. I don't mind being called one. Getting rank 5 is super easy. Don't feel special because you hit 5. Legend is easy, just a grind.
Was just playing a meme-y burgle rogue vs a quest priest in wild. One of my burgle effects got Benedictus, and I was ultimately able to get him reduced and play 2 of them, then return them to my hand. At the end of the game I had a full 60 card deck that had ~10 Amaras in it from gang up.
I mained Big-spell mage this season and got to rank 4 with it. Yesterday I was chilling around rank 2-3 with the deck but started encountering those nuubs shuddercocks one after the other, moreover I started losing even favourable matchups like even warlock cause Jaina was always in the last 5 cards.
Then I realized I already had all the cards I needed to build an Odd Rogue deck and went for it. Ahhhh the experience of slamming that Leeroy in the opponent's face is so refreshing, I went 13-1 in no time. I was winning games without breaking a sweat! Who needs skill? I only need to see them shamans rage and trying to add me after the game. I might get addicted to this :D
Fun fact, while I was playing the deck new season started and I found myself already at rank 5 :)
I was playing taunt druid against a cubelock. I had a Frostmourne with one hit left and my opponent was at 15 life. He had a lacky on board and traded, summoned a doomguard and left him with 4hp on board. I killed the doomguard with Frostmourne, hit his face with his doomguard, cubed it + naturalize and two more doomguards for the win!
Who is the cubelock now? xD

Odd. This month has been my 1st month hitting legend (profile pic) and 2 of my friends 1st time getting to legend also. Is everyone doing well lol?
Took a whole 5 seconds to log in with twitch. Someone needs to let the bads know that they are in fact, bad.

Sorry but this is just not true. Climbing from rank 5 to Legend is much tougher and longer than from rank 20 to 5.
You can't even compare the two. Players are better at rank 5-Legend and you lose the bonus stars from win streaks, which is a big deal.
Right, because Rank 5 is so "bad".

And congrats for to op!!
Just as easy as reaching Legend because there are the same decks... the only difference is that the grind from R5-L is much MUCH more time consuming.

Golden Hero Collections thus far; -
Europe: Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior (9/9)
Americas: Druid, Mage, Paladin Shaman (4/9)
Everywhere else: Workin on it.. (0/9)
Woot!
Oh look, another 1 of those who thinks that rank 20's and 10's are as good as Legend players.

Congrats ! I reached the same rank in june and july in wild and it's quite satisfying. Hope I'll manage to get Legend in september now.

Last month I hit rank 5 for the first time too. Made it with 45minutes to spare, using a combination of steal priest and big spell Mage in Wild.
I don't think I'll ever go back to standard...
