Opened around fifty packs, the card results were not that great (Thrall, Deathseer, Archbishop Benedictus and Arfus were my only legendaries), but I decided to try some of the few archetypes that could the improved with the new expansion:
1st, I went with Murloc Shaman and boy, that sucked really hard. Three games, three losses LUL
2nd, tried Dragon Priest with Bone Drake: that was really fun, the new Drake really adds consistency to the dragon synergies and gives you a lot of extra late game, and the Un'Goro base dragon deck is already pretty good. But since there were only 2 new cards in the deck, I left it after 5-0. PS: I got Bone Drake out of Bone Drake twice throughout those 5 games.
3rd, I decided to go for an arena run, went Priest, got 5-3, not many new cards but had a lot of fun with Raza the Chained + Shadowform combo (yeah, I got that combo in arena)
Finally, I looked at my epics and saw those two beautiful Snowfury Giant and decided to try an Overload Shaman. Now, since the best overload card in standard, in my opinion, is Jade Claws, I added just enough Jades to give some consistency to the deck, and I also tried some more overlooked cards (one copy ofFinders Keepers, since it's the only one I have, which ended up being surprisingly good card and two copies of Drakkari Defender, which also turned out to be pretty OK). Overall, I don't know if it was because I ended up playing only 2 games, but I feel Overload Jade Shaman can really be a surprisingly good deck if it is tuned correctly. And the overload factor actually forces a Jade deck to be more of a thinking deck (not saying it is a hard deck to play, just saying it's more than just a 'play on curve' deck).
Priest I played against just got the DK card that removes the top 5 cards from your deck, and summons any minions removed. He then continues to burn 5 spells.
Holy shit, Hunter Quest (The Marsh Queen) is working for me with this expansion! Stitched Tracker is a freaking miracle. Every time I play it, I find a Fire Fly which is basically two one drops right away. I'm completing the quest quickly, finding my DK Rexxar with Queen Carnassa in hand thanks to Cult Master, and then enter a solid late-game where I either swarm my opponent with raptors, outlast them with raptors and zom-beasts, or go charge face crazy with a Tundra Rhino on the board.
I was playing rogue, and somehow my burgle cards gave me two copies of Scourgelord Garrosh. The opponent was control warrior and was PISSED despite being a fun match (he did discard his own Scourgelord because full hand). He won because of Grommash combo. Was funny though.
Playing my control pally deck with the new Uther card against jade druid. Not willing to put the crappy tech card in my deck to counter one deck type. Running out of equalities, doomsayers, and Tarims. A 15/15 jade golem is on the board, and with kill me next turn. I put down a hydrologist, then I remember eye for a eye is a card! He did not expect the worse secret in the game.
So i bought 13 ungoro packs by mistake (yes, lucky number 13)
Idea was to keep track of my koft pack count (7 free +yadayada =20 and so on)
Opened 4 quests o.o
Golden time warp
Marsh queen
Lakkari sacrifice
And unite the murlocs
K so pretty bad ones but still quite neat :)
Then first koft pack gave me valeera hollow and the lich king gave me Ebon Uther
Not a bad day :) Hope i'll get death rexxar next, could make some silly quest 1 drop hero power deck with double rhinos ofc. Or maybe craft nzoth and go control hunter for the sheer abomination it would be.
I have mostly play now with control paladin what is been really fun deck and yesterday two games a row i get all four horseman in field, that feel so good.
I'm hesitant to craft Rexxar, so I got a replacement for my Reno Hunter

I felt kinda bad for him. But then again, he did get Barnes into The Lich King on turn 4, and then revived The Lich King with Eternal Servitude on turn 5. I drew insanely well too though.
Fuck cubelock
I finally beat that SOB without looking up a solution.

Tons of fun so far!
I killed an Unearthed Raptor with a Mounted Raptor and a Raptor Hatchling came out of my raptor's deathrattle. CAN'T HANDLE THAT MUCH RAPTORS
Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)

Experimenting with Dragon Priest, vs Death Knight Shaman.
I play Drakonid Operative and discover Thrall, Deathseer. I play a second Operative and discover Doppelgangster.
Poor Shaman never stood a chance.

Golden Frostmourne from my Golden Lich King that I discovered with my golden stonehill defender <3
I wasn't planning on going for a run today. But those cops came out of nowhere.
I finally freaking did it. It's so easy if you play the fight as intended...

No one expects Eye for an EYE.

This might have been the naughtiest thing I've ever done in arena. Dirty...and so pleasing! :D
