I was recently thinking about Sea Giant (SG) and how affective it can be in today's meta. With decks like secret paladin (not as much so, but it still could be affective) and obviously face hunter, could Sea Giant either by itself or maybe with a taunt added to it, be something that can help take back control of the board? I can see the argument for the card being too slow, but chances are in today's meta you are doing your best to go 1 for 1 to keep a board presence. Also, by dropping an 8/8 on turn 3 or 4 may catch your opponent off guard.
I don't normally play zoo , but I have seen SG in various zoo lists and it seems affective especially with cards like Imp Gang Boss. I honestly prefer mech Mage, but I am not sure that SG can be worked in due to synergy reasons.
So my question to the community is, what do you think of Sea Giant in today's meta or the meta in general? Also, what decks do you think, outside zoo lock work best with Sea Giant?
Still pretty strong in Zoo lock. Only other place I could imagine it doing well would be secret pally or mid range pally

Hey guys! New streamer with a small following so I do answer all questions. I don't consider myself great but I have hit legend every season I have played. I'm just your average Joe with a pretty card back :D
I've seen it run effectively in Hunter and Warlock (both at Rank 5 this season). There are competitive decks that can run it. As far as beating Secret Paladin.....maybe? They often run Equality or Aldor Peacekeeper, sooooo good luck having it do TOO much against them, but it may do you some favors every now and then.
SG gets some love in zoo decks for sure. It requires a large volume of minions on the board to be effectives. Shaman and Paladin both flood the board as a tactic.
The only problem is your opponent needs a full board, and you need something on your board otherwise SG and a taunt is too expensive for the mana cost.
There's a good chance that if you're using sea giant to counter your opponents board, you've already lost.
I was kind of thinking of updating that Bot Sea Shaman list to post TGT, and giving it a shot on ladder, but I got booted of my computer for a while, so right now I'm just theory crafting :D

Personally, I prefer to use SG over the other Giants in my Zoo decks.
