Does playing any of the other modes make you feel this way? Or is it just ranked.
You need to just realize that losing is a big part of this game. Track your games and try to work on catching your mistakes during the game. Just work on improving your gameplay to make you feel more comfortable with a deck.
Most of all, PLAY FOR FUN!!!!! Don't forget to enjoy the game. Sometimes your going to queue up and run into somebody that just wrecks your face or your starting hand ends up being 3 to 4 6+ Drops against a fast aggro deck. Don't take it too hard and move on.

Hey buddy. I had similar anxiety when I started, especially since losing games meant losing rank. Even getting win streaks caused anxiety, since I wouldn't want to break the streak, causing me to stop playing ranked for the day.
My strategy to overcome it was to distance myself from the game emotionally and approach it analytically. Make optimal plays, and if you make a bad turn, tell yourself why it was suboptimal and move on. If you lose to RNG, instead of getting mad, I try my best to be Zen about it and think, "wow good for him."
I also overcame it by playing Facehunter. You play lots of games, and the decisions are relatively simple, usually go face, and remove enemies with weapons. The deck pilots itself after playing it for awhile, and you lose when they play too many taunts or too many heals, which is largely out of your control. I just shrug when it happens and move onto the next game. I also watch TV or twitch while playing Face hunter, which helps further disconnect me emotionally. I also don't watch opponents turns, which helps a lot because waiting in fear during their turn can worsen anxiety. Instead, I watch some csgo, come back on my turn to see what they've done, and respond.
OT. Just think of it as it really is: a game and not a statement about skill or power, as so many poor souls try to put on you. It is just a childish, little card game and not important at all. You lose, that is ok, you win, also nice.
I would avoid playing ranked till maybe 10/15 days as that is when most people play aggro deck to quickly rank up and remember to have fun. If ranked becomes to much switch up the game type you are playing.
You'd better stay away multiplayer RTS ladders -- now -that- can be stressful!
Aside from having a beer or something, my best advice is to multitask. I often watch TV while playing, and while it may slightly affect my performance, I find I'm less salty when losing than if I've been concentrating on the game the entire time. I also squelch my opponent after greetings.
Just having other people around can help too, if that's an option. Even if it's a bud who knows little about HS.
Most people that play will never be professional. In fact, most will never reach Legendary. If you finish ranked 13 or higher, you are ranked in the top 20% of all Hearthstone players on the Americas server. Just have fun.
"When gaming stops being fun, it ceases to be gaming and starts being work."
NOTE: as many people have stated, multitasking usually helps. I also always have my TV on in the background, and I often turn on something lighthearted (Impractical Jokers, Family Guy, etc.). I keep one eye on my monitor and one eye on my mirror behind the monitor so I can see the TV. Turning on music may help as well.
Last but not least, don't be so hard on yourself. Every gamer is competitive, even the "casual" ones, and everyone loses. Everyone misplays. Everyone gets outplayed. Everyone (especially Hearthstone players) has matches that they just insta-lose from turn 1 (*cough* Freeze Mage vs Control Warrior *cough*). It's all part of gaming.
One final quote (slightly paraphrased): "Control the things you CAN control; accept that there are things you CAN'T control."
Like Andromeda1481 said, play for fun! I am extremely competitive myself and do not take to losing well. I have found that Control Priest has some of the most satisfying mechanics that crushes these aggro metas (at least in ranks 25-13ish for me). I would pick a fun deck and then watch the pros play it to really hone your skills. I have been watching Kolento for the last month and it has really helped me in playing Priest. Sometimes, if I've just had enough I'll just watch them play on twitch instead of playing myself.
I had same thing on league, in the end it's all about having confidence in your skills.
Also once you are past a certain rank the next time you won't be afraid at all to try and get it again, if you got there once you are good enough to get there again.
And you need to care less about your rank who cares if you are legend or rank 20 it's all about self achievement and ignore what people say..
The important thing is that you stop playingwhen you start to lose -- while you're still in a decent mood. When you really hate losing, ranked can be a little like gambling. You lose your first game and think, okay, I just need to win one. But then you lose 3 more and your mood suddenly spirals out of control. Avoid that at all costs. If your first loss makes you even a little bitter, just stop there.
However, because there is very limited communication and the game is relatively slow, Hearthstone is a nice place to work on this. Don't push yourself to play every day or to get to a certain rank, but do try to play every once in a while, even when you're anxious. Take a deep breath and just play a few games. Pace yourself.
And know that many of us feel the same way to varying degrees. It's not healthy, but it is normal. :)
Listen man I'm the same way and let me tell you, ladder anxiety sucks! I didn't know how to deal with it until i made a post like this one and asked for help. What i got out of that post was this, "realize it's just a game and winning doesn't really matter. Try to have fun as much as you can and enjoy the game. If you feel like you need a break then take one after a couple of games. Listening to music helps out alot as well."
I used to be in the same position that you were in, fear of the ladder. Then they came out with the mark of where you got furthest down the ladder, and I became much happier with things. Then my decks started to get better, as did my playing, and also made some friends who's play style I enjoyed. I think I read above from one person about waiting till mid month, they are right, if you fear the hardcore competition, you'll find that really is in the beginning of the month when people are working their way down. For me, it's like a game of Shoots N' Ladders; I go up and down like a yo-yo. Good luck, and as many said above, HAVE FUN! And it's a game!

As cliche as this is...
