Just saying. Anyone saying they beat this deck regularly is lying out their fanny. Sure, a super awesome draw by you and a terrible draw by them can help but if Dr 6 comes out its over. You cant have the board because Paladins dont allow that. Their early game is brutal. Their mid game is very good. Their late game with Tirion & whatever else is also brutal. Thats fine....but.... my goodness.
Is anyone at Blizzard loking into this? Just wondering.
It has counters and knowing the secrets help. The obvious brags and misdirection about it being "really easy" is obviously just nonsense however. It is a very strong deck with easily spottable and very defined plays at almost every turn, and it is certainly a strong contended for one of the strongest overall decks in HS now, while still being a very easy deck to pilot.
I wouldn't say it's auto concede... it's more that, if they're winning, noble sac from Dr 6 usually seals the deal. So games you lose to them tend to be brutal beatdowns of the most memorable types, while wins are usual even matches. I think this is a lot of the 'secret pally is overpowered' feel.
i play a control warrior with double brawl and bouncing blade and a shit ton of other removal. ive beaten plenty of secret paladins its not that hard honestly especially when you know exactly what to expect from the deck you just have to be ready when it comes.
I played Dragon Priest this season and got as high as Rank 10. Though not "easy" i'd say the match-up with secret pally is fair. Trick is having board control by turn 6 and being ready for the drop with Shadow Word: Death
Let's go ahead and get this straight; secret paladin is not an unbeatable deck. The scenario you're describing is under perfect circumstances, where we are assuming they draw into all those cards and the opponent doesn't have anything to play. Most of the time drawing this prefect curve does not happen because they're running 8+ 1 drops in their deck. They're also very weak to aggro decks and decks that can flood the board. Maybe you should play it for a day or two so you can really understand it's weaknesses. Once you get to know the deck and familarize yourself with it, your matchup v.s secret pally will be a better one.
Anyone saying they beat this deck regularly is probably countering them, which isn't that bad of an option when you face the same decktype 50% of the time. Decks like Dragon Priest might not win every time, but they sure have a good match-up and thus a positive winrate. People that keep losing to Secrets Paladin need to realize their deck doesn't work in the current meta, or need to stop whining about it.
This. If you're facing against a particular deck a lot, it's called, "The current meta." And if you can't beat it, then your deck isn't apt for the current meta.
I have a good winrate against secret pally, because it's easy to predict their secrets, and BGH can get rid of Mysterious Challenger after their Noble Sacrifice procs off Avenge. That's 2 secrets and a big minion dead all at the cost of having something in play to attack with, and a BGH in hand.

The Roshambo to Hearthstone. Please be nice. Don't insult or be mad at someone for throwing Rock.
I'm working on dat Freeze Mage. I hear turn 5 Doomsayer + Nova makes them shit themselves. (If they don't have silence... even if they do, when are you ever going to proc their secrets? lol)
My experience with Dr. 6 is that if he has a board when he comes out, it's over. If you can keep the smaller stuff down by the time he tells me it's none of my business, the problem is more manageable.
However, the deck is undoubtedly good and it seems that basically every player brought a version to Blizzcon for the World Championship tourney. So, going by the logic of nerfing Patron....

I think you're WAY off here. I played a bit of secret pally tonight (late to climb ladder this season). I started at rank 19 climbed to 10 with about an 80% win rate. Hit rank 10 and lost.. Like every other game. So it's not 50% win rate which is sub par for ladder climbing.
The deck is easier to beat now then ever, people know how to play against it and the 5, 6 , 7, mega curve isn't as hard to anticipate.
Lots of decks have good matchups against secret pally. Freeze mage feels down right unwinnable. Tempo mage, face and midrange hunter also have good matchups. If secretadin plays on curve it is really strong against alot of decks. Sometimes tho you are drawing all your crap secrets and never even see dr. 6.
I hitted legend this season with Tempo Mage, mostly because I faced a lot of Secret Paladins while playing with it. OP doesn't know what he's talking about...
Just saying. Anyone saying they beat this deck regularly is lying out their fanny.
Meh. Secret Pally is a one trick pony. My Mid-Hunter deck eats Secret Pally for breakfast. So much fun dropping Flare right after Dr. 6.
Face Hunter beats it too. Most Secret Pallys don't run much healing (LOH is too slow and if they draw it turn one is a dead card and hurts Divine Favor), they don't have many taunts, and only one secret blocks face damage...
So, ya, if you're main issue is Secret Pally, play some hunter.
I only needed about a hundred wins total from 25 to legend this season because the game only matched me with the lowest skill secret paladins that also started with the worst hand possible nearly every game.
Dude, I've been playing Aggro Druid and it wrecks secret pally. I have not lost to a secret pally yet. Just be sure to keep swipe if you draw it. Also, if you innervate a big minion at the start it's over for secret pally. Control Pally is a totally different story though. Admittedly, aggro druid is kinda OP
I'd say the deck is currently the best deck out there.
If they draw on curve, they basically win against most decks, since they have such an insane pool of high-value minions to draw from.
Turn 1: Secretkeeper or Zombie Chow
Turn 2: Shielded minibot (best 2 drop in the game) or Knife Juggler (one of the best 2 drops as well)
Turn 3: Muster for battle (best 3 drop)
Turn 4: Shredder (best 4 drop) OR create a 5/5 with blessing of kings on your muster dudes OR use Truesilver Champion - This turn is simply insane.
Turn 5: by now the board is secured most of the times, throw in a Loatheb or Belcher, Blessing/Shredder are still fine, or you abuse divine favor, easy life
Turn 6: Dr. 6 - best 6 drop in the game
Turn 7: Dr. 7 - best 7 drop in the game, best legendary
Turn 8: Tirion - best 8 drop in the game, best class legendary
So yeah, basically the deck just has way too many overpowered minions, it's pretty disgusting. Shielded minibot should technically be a 2/1, Shredder should maybe be a 4/2 that spawns either a fixed 2/1 minion or a random minion that costs 2 or less. Muster for battle is fine I think, divine favor needs to cost 5 mana. Mysterious Challenger should have been a legendary, now they should change him to be a 7 mana 7/5 to compete with Dr. Boom.
combo priest is so fucking op
turn 1: pass
turn 2: coin flying machine
turn 3: deathlord
turn 4: double divine spirit
turn 5: confuse/inner fire/crazed alchemist

I win due to skill and lose due to bad RNG. :D

Honestly from experience and from what I've seen, Freeze Mage dumpsters and Secret Pally.

I like to make cards and discuss game balance.
I enjoy when "No similar decks were found."
My latest deck: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1366184-scholomance-charge-rez-priest-wild
But I am beating them regularly. Do you know how sad Secret Pally gets when you Aldor Peacekeeper their minion after Avenge?
