See the meta graph by scrolling down, that's why patron got nerfed, OP to the core, #1 deck in the meta 11/13 of the latest weeks and if the data was available it would show earlier weeks I bet that it's been #1 since Blackrock Mountain, thats simply too powerful.

It's an interesting meta analysis, thanks for providing that.
We can roughly see the introduction of TGT when Secret Paladin makes an appearance on the charts. Patron takes a brief dip, and we're still discovering and refining new decks since the introduction of TGT.
I think the timing is wrong for the Patron nerf, as the meta will continue to be in flux, for some time.
I also don't think that a deck being number one on ladder necessarily means it is OP, rather than simply good. However, it was definitely uncontested before TGT and thus, yes, OP. I would have liked to see more time and analysis post TGT before seeing this nerf.

The thing is, nothing in TGT has improved Patron (it was already a complex and powerful deck as is) and nothing in TGT really diminished it. Sure there is Chillmaw, but that's limited to very specific dragon decks (Priest and Warrior primarily). Patron's one major counter, Handlock, also wasn't really affected by TGT. So more time would not have changed the direction of the meta and Patron would still be at the top.
Blizzard apperanty don't like chargegivers, so I'm expecting Tundra Rhino, to be the next victim of the Nerf gun, it gives ALL beasts charge, including itself! Kappa
the OTK emperor into rhino gahzrilla 2x arcane shot! the only reason people dont experiment with it is because hunter has already better, easier to play decks :p
Clearly didn't even watch Ben Brodes vid to the end where he discussed the nerf. He mentioned that Warsong was changes for MORE than just because of Patron Warrior. He talks about how it limited what kinds of cards they could make. For example, Dreadsteed was originally planned to be in Curse of Naxxramas and was going to be a neutral card. Unfortunately, that couldn't happen because Warsong Commander existed. Do your research before making a statement like this.
Also so much for that signature: 'Don't complain, use your brain'
funny, how the bugged WC version - the one not giving charge to summoned units, only played units - would have been the perfect solution to dreadsteed neutral!
i probably wouldn't of complained if the warsong commander change happened without the Dreadsteed comment, but now that I've heard it, I'm kinda frustrated. dreadsteed, one of the coolest epic minions could've been neutral, in a time where the deck could've flourished (against the undertakers) all because of a card that didn't even cause any problems, honestly warsong at that time only gave it to played minions. so in warrior it would've been a Razorfen Hunter for 4 more mana that dealt one damage that was blocked by taunt, and the boar respawns. thats really underwhelming and had no problems at the time. so if they left it bugged, or changed its text to what it did, then there would be no problem with dreadsteed. sure it would still work with the frothings, but would be less consistent and wouldn't need the nerd hammer to smash its face in.

Even funnier how it wouldn't have done a thing to fix Frothing combo :)
The funny thing is going to be de desert, after Trash for lunch, your're going to enjoy double seeing how Pal is goping to be "reconsidered" for the Good of FACE HUNTER, because there's only a winner here, the same as always, tan plain, bored and disgusting deck called Face Hunter that never has any nerf and any critics.
GOOD NERF. Please start to nerf players as well.
ONE GAME, ONE DECK -> ASS HUNTER.
Face hunter has been pretty bad for a long time, as both dragon priest and control warrior do really well vs them. Flamewaker mage and druid matchups are also bad, making the deck very rare atm. Both UTH, leeroy, undertaker and starving buzzard has been nerfed, so hunter is probably the most nerfed (and at times most OP) deck in the game.
Midrange- and hybrid hunters will probably see more play though, to try to counter paladins.
Sorry for feeding the troll...
...instead of making Warsong Commander 100% useless, they could have change it to only give charge to 2 or less attack minions
Although I agree that they shouldn't have killed the card entirely, that still limits their design space. Ben Brode made it clear that they wanted to both nerf patron as well as allow for a more creative design space without worry of OTKs or broken combos with Warsong Commander.
isnt the emperor the actual problem ? how he has managed to evade the nerf bat to this point is beyond me. poor warsong commander...never to be played again.
It was in my opinion a bad nerf. It could have been done a little better, however Grim Patron is the best deck ever in hearthstone and did need a nerf.
Holly fucking fuck. Why couldn't they just change it to "Give every 3 or less attack minion a charge when you PLAY it", not summon? This would really nerf the patron importantly, but not wtihout balance. Though, i think it was quite fine deck, not overpowered, just effective. Thats all. Not always you got lucky draws. Now warson commander is useless. REFIX THIS CARD, BITCHZARD!
I think it's obvious. Grim Patron was a deck that needed no money investment. I myself, asembled it without spending a dime. Blizzard needs to sell stuff so they can't allow a free deck to exist. ANYONE could have used it without money investment (of course, if they had the brains to)...so when little-crying-out-loud-no brains-rich-customer had his 20000 dust legendary deck obliterated by a 800-1000 dust deck, just after droping hundreds of bucks in blizzard wallet...you can guess what papa-blizzard thought about that. Well, we'll have to get over this. I myself, I'll play just a little longer till I start losing to every legendary-full-deck in town and after that I'll say farewell hearthstone forever. RIP Grim Patron!

if that whould be the case, they would support more control decks and try to smash those (dust-wise) cheap aggro decks like face hunter which every beginner (after a few weeks) can affort.

I JUST faced a Warrior with Thaurissan at T6, and the whole patron combo with WC and Whirlwind etc at T7. LOL
He left when he couldn't attack with those Patrons. Don't know if he realised WC was nerfed or if he thinks it was a bug

I think this nerf is really unnecessary, Patron deck wasn't that good.

Are you going to make Grim Patron worth full dust like every other nerf?
good bye

Soon the card charge will be nerfed to become 10 mana and reads as : your minions with charge do not have charge
