Do you think the reason the game is still in beta and has unfixed game breaking bugs could be because they are focusing on getting stuff in for release that we previously had thought wouldn't make it?
Tournament support, Observer mode.. and so on?
I know Blizzard likes to take their sweet time, but its gotten to the point where I can't udnerstand whats taking so long to fix those game breaking bugs and get this game released.
My thought is that perhaps the unforeseen success (top 3-5 on twitch all the time) of the game is causing them to do more to it before release than they originally planned.
My thought is that Blizzard has a long history of delaying product, but that the product is usually pretty good when it does get released.
I think speculation about why Hearthstone remains in beta is perhaps not productive. I can understand some players have a vested interest and feel concerned, but I'm not sure they have anything to worry about. Even if Blizzard were to fold as a company (which I doubt), I think its intellectual properties would be bought out by another company, and that Hearthstone (and Blizzard's other games) would be released, perhaps with a delay of an extra few months.
If I *were* to speculate, I would say probably Blizzard/Activision realizes Hearthstone is going to do quite well and make a lot of money, and they want to make sure it's done right. Certainly they've reversed themselves, as they did with the Diablo 3 market system; probably they just want to be sure to do things properly this time.

If you find my posts to be rude, objectionable, or whatever, well, I got tired of writing polite TL; DR (Too Long, Didn't Read) posts at crybaby whiners. So now I just make it short and nasty.
If you find that funny, well and good. If you find that sad, that's even better.
The current delayfocus is wrapping up the showstopper bugs and the iPad testing (they can't properly beta test with a large number of players through the App Store). I think there was something leaked that indicated April 15 perhaps being their target.
I'm over it at this point, they could never release and I'd be fine.No one plays anything but lock, hunter, mage and every time I log in there's a new game breaking bug - fun one today where the opponent gets endless consecutive turns while you sit there and watch yourself die while unable to play.

This is an odd comment.. I'm in no way worried that Hearthstone / Blizzard will fold. Also, Speculation as to why its taking so long - while perhaps not productive - is a relevant topic to discuss IMO. Blizzard take's their sweet time, no doubt. But in the case of Hearthstone, its very very puzzling. To the point where IMO there has to be something else going on (more features being added for release).

I think, perhaps, i was forgetting the iPad version and the fact they want it to be released ASAP. I suppose the most logical answer is that they are getting it done and thats the delay for release.

What's the rush to release the game? Anyone can play it right now and the real money transactions are already in place. There's little difference between open beta and release for a free to play game.
If I was to speculate about why the game hasn't been released it's probably because Hearthstone was more of pet project for Blizzard. They have a very small team from what I've read. So, bug fixes are going to be much slower than with the major blockbuster titles. I think they realized they struck gold and are investing in hiring as we can all see on the launcher, but it's gong to take time. They've also said they want the ipad client ready for launch. So, with bug fixing, extra polishing, and developing/testing the ipad version I think there's still a good while before the official release.

Yeah maybe it's just been your perception but I run into more Druid, Warrior, Warlock at the ranks I'm playing at (currently rank 6 this season). I even see a lot more Priests now so I'm pretty sure every class is getting a good amount of play at all levels.
I have been playing for awhile and and haven't seen something I would consider game breaking yet lol. No offense, just saying the worst bug for me has been card swapping and not being able to play something from my hand.
As for the decks and aggro, nothing has really been that prevalent. I play lots of different stuff in ranked, I ranked and arena. I mean sure there is some heavy aggro focus in a lot of ranks right now but I play priest and am at a 60-ish% win rate. Not too bad considering that I don't consider myself anywhere near the best player lol.
But hey, if you don't like it then don't play. There are plenty of other games out there (come play Battlefield with me lol).
