Hmm, interesting. Why did you cut him? He's synergizes with sunfury so well when you badly need 2 taunts. And baits bgh perfectly.
Boom is kind of clunky in this meta when you already have so many bombs, if you get Emperor out Watcher costs just 1 anyway. You have so many BGH targets in Handlock (more than 3) anyway that you don't really need another one to bait BGH. Taunting a 1/1 Boom Bot always makes me cringe as well, it does effectively nothing so often against a board which you need 2 taunts.

I give up too, highest I got was R2. Was extremely unlucky that aparently all I got were Hunters and Paladins. Such a broad arsenal of decks on ladder.
If you only faced Hunter and Paladin, then running a counter deck to those 2 (like Dragon Priest) could've have gotten you Legend :/
I tried anti-aggro Priest, Dragon Priest, Control Warrior, Ramp Druid without combo but with heals and a ton of taunts, and none worked (have over 1200 games played this season in total). As the poster after you said, most of those decks are not consistent enough, thats why my plan is to try and build a deck which counters those aggro decks specifically (lots of early game removal). If 70% of my games consist of those 2 decks/classes and I lose against Control decks then so be it, at least I gave the Aggro ones an annoying time. Seems Dreadsteed lock seems to do well and is quite consistent, although it's bad vs Priest (Cabal), Shaman (Shock/Hex), and Druid (Keeper). Will see the first week what changes occur in the meta and if maybe a Blizzcon announcement shakes up things.
1200 games? Wow that's insane. And with those classes? Late ctrl decks. SAy each match is 10 minutes, that's 12000 minutes, 200 hours or 8.3 full days, let's say you can't play the day around, as you need to sleep and eat, say you play only 12 hours a day, that's still 16.6 days. Half the month you were playing this game none stop. That's some dedication, and then that you didn't become legend, that must be quite the smack in the face.
Not all games were with Control decks, did the start of the season with Zoo which got me to R5 on the 4th day of the season. But according to my Tracker I have +- 1200 games played. I do think as the poster above me said I lack consistency in my plays and choices, hence why I'm stuck on certain ranks for long periods of time. I do have a couple of friends who make it to Legend each season and they spectate me from time to time, and their answer is my draws are crap compared to what they usually see. Not salty at all (since that's for somewhere else), but a little bit discouraged for next season if my plays/deck/card choices turn out wrong again. That's why I watch this vid every day: Just do it
What i don't get is why 80% of the people are playing secret paladin. Even patron warrior was not played this much. It means that everybody who plays this (SO boring deck) gets a lot more mirror matchups and because of this the winrate of the deck drops.
I suspect it is because it is fairly easy to play, is not one of the more expensive decks, and it has somewhat satisfying bursts even in a mirror setup. Of course I've noticed that secret paladin seems to be breaking into 3 main variants, and so even the "mirror" matches aren't quite as cut and dried as when it first came out. That said I am a bit more of a hunter and druid player and so tend to enjoy (assuming a decent mulligan) playing against paladin more than some other decks.
Rank 5 to Legend is full of Top Tier decks, ranked best is Secrets Paladin (not imo but whatever), so it's obvious it's the most seen deck. I also like the metagame in Legend more then in the 5-Legend area since less try-hards there. FreezePriest, MechRogue and Dragon Shaman are just a few of the decks I faced today.
All I see at legend are druid try hards...even more than secret pala
Well I'm only in the 3000s xd, higher Legend obviously has more try-hards trying to hit #1.
3k is not that bad. I saw 7040 today. Kind of frustrating to see how many people got legend after optimistical statement "you're in 2%" on my rank 5.

On EU there is at least 8562 legend player as I saw that rank today on my friendlist.

It means that everybody who plays this (SO boring deck) gets a lot more mirror matchups and because of this the winrate of the deck drops. Because with mirror matches it is often the guy who gets the best draw wins. Yet people still play it, even in bottom legend ranks at like #7 or 8000ish. They just reached legend just like me on like the last few days of the season and you still play that shit in bottom ranks of legend? Lol why? It's not like you will reach top100 in the last day :)
After i reached legend i took my astral ramp druid and my randomage and had so much fun :)
1) Because it's one of the easier decks to play with
2) When I reached Legend like 2 weeks ago, rank 5-1 were being dominated by 5 decks: Secret Paladin, Face Hunter, Fast Druid, Tempo Mage and ocassional Control Warriors. If the meta is still similar, playing Secret Paladin makes a lot of sense because it has an extremely favourable matchup against Mage and very good matchups vs Warrior and Druid. Paladin is a 50/50, but if you are a good player you are winning more than what you are going to lose in every mirror match (even with this deck that is so easy to play some players can outsmart others), while the only unfavourable matchup was Hunter. That's why I think a lot of people are playing Secret Paladin.
About Dragon Priest, I've been trying this deck in legend, and, while it's true that it may not be consistent enough to beat Secret Paladin regularly, it's still a 50-50 matchup (at least that is my win rate against it), but I have to say that it's great against the other popular decks out there (Hunter, Druid and Mage). About Warrior, Patron is also a good matchup, while Control isn't. I may try this deck next season for reaching legend, it seems very solid against aggro and decent vs midrange and control.
No Geddon, no Sylvanas. Chromaggus included and he worked really well for me.
Ladder meta is really disgusting btw and i think that's my last time hitting legend. Playing against huge amount ofsecret paladins is not fun at all. Even on legend a lot of people still plays them and i don't really understand that.
Kind of sad season ends tonight. Highest I've ever hit rank 4. I was using an mixture of aggro druid, and tempo mage to climb hit a 50/50 wall at 7 facing nothing but aggro decks, switched to control warrior went 9-0 and ended at Rank 4. >.< back to trying for legend next season!

My name is kokoseq.
Hear it and tremble.
I literally just (30 seconds ago) dusted 1 of my bane of dooms, so I need a replacement for one, any ideas?

Reached legend yesterday with control warrior. It took like 3 or 4 hours from rank 3 to do it.

i'm trying to stay in top 100. the Decay is real. I had to play a game and win just to keep the decay from knocking me out of top 100.

Tried for Legend in October.
Reached 15, but couldn't maintain it.
Ended the month at rank 18.
I played over 300 matches.
I am the worst Hearthstone player of all time.
