I am new to the game, i love it so far (minus the fact this game does not favor us noobs lol). I have opened at least 6-8 packs, rank 19, i understand most of the basics and gameplay. I am just looking for useful information and tips for a beginner, i obviously need more cards to make better decks (all decks i look at have many cards i don't). I have opened first 2 wings in Blackrock , won few tavern brawls for free pack. Basically i am trying to figure out best way to get more cards/gold and to figure out the crafting thing so maybe i can start getting cards i actually want/need. The more the info the better, basically sit there and think to yourself what would i have wished to known when i was a noob lol. I appreciate everything in advanced! If your real bored i have 2 lame decks i built could use some constructive critisism (cant spell lol).

Adventures are more value (gold/content) than card packs.
BUT You will not play Dragon decks for a while so you can open just first 2 wings of Blackrock to get Imp Gang Boss for warlock or first 4 to get Flamewaker for mage and focus on cardpacks instead, leaving the last wing or 3 for later.
Naxx is more value than Blackrock.
Do Tavern Brawl every week for the pack.
TGT is least valuable pack to buy for start imo.
GVG is most valuable pack to buy for start imo.
Arena doesn't discriminate, you don't need cards.
Arena is good for learning basic skills of trading, and to get feel of things like card advantage and tempo.
Arena is best value for obtaining cards if you are not under time pressure.
Disenchanting cards because you think you will not play them will bite you back (if it's only your feel "i will not play this class") - there are some really terrible cards that will never see play but better ask or search before clicking disenchant.
Get familiar with the cards. First thing to do: Set up your Europe and Asia accounts. Do the dailies and play some arena. Playing arena gets you accustomed to the basics of the game and it lets you see the whole range of cards and how they interact with each other.
After you're more comfortable with the cards and how the archetypes work, you know what the opponent is trying to do.
Once you're a little more experienced in arena (it will be brutal for beginners), play it on your main account so you can farm packs. It's simply the best value for you (if you can average 3 ore more wins per run).
Both of the above suggestions are pretty much spot on. The only thing I would add is: as a new player especially, you should use HearthArena.com to help you with your Arena drafts. It will also help you track how you're doing, which will help you learn.
Something important for new players. Once you get to the point for crafting big legendaries, remember this. Craft the good cards, not the cool ones. There are a lot cards out there with cool effects, but they just don't work in play like they seem on paper. I had the chance to craft Dr. Boom, the best card in the game. But I was so caught up in the cool effect of Foe Reaper 4000 and crafted that instead. I COULD'VE HAD BOOM!!!!!!!!!!
Recognizing good cards from cool cards is the best way to get good cards and make good decks and be a good hearthstone player. I hope I helped.
Thanks a lot everyone, slowly bit by bit getting better haha. I Was completely shocked at how in depth this game was when i first downloaded it, was a bit overwhelming lol.

One little tip I have is not to get caught up in glamerous legendaries when you first start out. Craft rares and (maybe) some commons first and then based on the cards you have after a while you can start crafting epics. Legendaries eat up dust and are for the most part not as useful as some other cards.

boom bots tho
Would you rather have a single dr. boom or two knife jugglers, two shredders, two defenders, two portals, two highmanes, two aldors, two SI-7s, two implosions, and some extra dust?
I am applying a lot of what all of you said, my only issue is with ranked matches. I cant get past rank 19, no matter what decks i mess with ill get 2 consecutive wins and boom lose next 4 lol

It'll take time. I couldn't get past rank 18 for the first couple of months I played. I decided I'd only DE extra cards and just bought card packs. I kept track and literally bought 90 packs before I got my first legendary, which was Archmage Antonidas. I played tempo mage with it and got to rank 14. I think your gameplay will get better with better cards. It'll take time.
For getting past rank 19. At first hearthstone has a pretty steep learning curve. Not just with the game mechanics but also with deck building. Unlike later on, unless you spend a lot on buying packs you're probably not netdecking right away. There are two solutions: 1. build a cheap net deck like face hunter or aggro pally. 2. get better understanding on how to build decent decks with what you have, but you will still hit a glass ceiling pretty quickly, I couldn't get past 12-13 with mostly basic card deck when I started.
We now have end of season rewards, which is as much as 500 dust for rank 5 and up. It's pretty huge for new players. If you are willing to invest some time in less fun playstyle you can craft face hunter and hit rank 5 every season. It's about 1k dust, but you can view it as an investment (plus all the gold you gain from winning games more consistently than with any other deck you can build for the same price bar perhaps patron).
I suggest watching some streams, both for Arena and constructed, I recommenced Strifecro (constructed) and Hafu (arena) but there are many good ones.
Be critical of yourself. This game has a lot of RNG and it's easy to blame the RNG for the loss, while sometimes it's true that doesn't mean that you made the optimal play. Perhaps you played in way that successful rng for the enemy rewards them too much.
Learn to play around cards which are common in certain classes (flame strike in mage, consecration in paladin, brawl in warrior). I would suggest going to some top deck list and going over the decks, try to understand what makes them work etc. Even though you can't build them, you'll be facing them on the ladder and it's good to know your enemy.
I don't think you have to buy as much of naxx and BRM as some here suggested, I would go with 3-4 from naxx and 0-1 from brm at first. And then adjust based on which decks you want to play (and which classes), this would probably depend somewhat on what cards you open in packs.

One thing I would add - drop the daily quest if it's 40 gold. You may get another 40 gold quest but you might get one worth 50, 60, or 100 instead.
