Yesterday Blizzard posted some puzzles on the Hearthstone official site. They are very similar to what I have been doing here on the hearthpwn forums, but less complex. Do you guys think they saw my puzzles? Or is this a very weird coincidence? I have put a lot of work on my own puzzles and I feel like the similarities are too strong. I think they should at least mention that I have been doing puzzles before them.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a look at the first puzzle I made back in July (link to the puzzle on my blog). I will start reposting the puzzles on my blog because it is hard to find them on the forums after a while. You can find the original forum post here. Keep an eye on my blog for new puzzles and also articles about hearthstone strategy.
Yeah I totally agree they should have at least mentioned you. Even if they had the idea before you it still won't justify anything because you've been making puzzles for Hearthstone for quite some time and their puzzles hardly seem to be put any effort in. You probably worked for your puzzles for days before posting them. I found Blizzards puzzles to be a cheap knockoffs of your's.
Although I also have to agree with Rea the idea of puzzles were probably not yours but they could have at least mentioned the awsome puzzles you made even if they didn't mention you by name.
While I'm pretty sure they got the idea that it would be popular from seeing yours here on Hpwn (Since Ben Brode was on this site solving them) it's their game, so I don't think you've got a lot of claim to make, so to speak. People who were on these forums and saw your puzzles know where their idea came from. Sometimes streetcred is all you get for being awesome. :D

It's not like I'm going to sue them because they saw my puzzles here and then created their own. In that case I just think it is not unreasonable to expect that they mention my puzzles here on hearthpwn.
Anyway, it is nice to know that Ben was on this site solving my puzzles!
Game-based puzzles like this have existed for literally hundreds if not thousands of years though, people do them with (for example) chess all of the time. The fact that you're using them for this particular game doesn't really mean anything at all.
He doesn't mean the idea of puzzles he means the effort he went through all by himself to make puzzles for a game that he didn't even make. Seriously I tried making one it's very hard to make a decent puzzle I tried for like an hour before I gave up and all I could get was puzzles similar to what blizzard made.
I saw the Blizzard ones and thought they were far simpler, but I guess it was more of a teaser to get people of all levels to think more about the game. Don't forget, there are lot of new-to-card-games players out there (if you don't, just spend an hour or two watching some streams and see how long it takes for your palm to reach your face.
I was surprised that you didn't get a mention in that thread, even if it was a "if you like these, check out here for some more advanced puzzles to really get you thinking".
I'd love for there to be puzzles in game, but unfortunately it would only be a limited amount since I can't see them being randomised easily, and pre-planned ones would just have a solution online for people to follow and therefore be pointless to reward for solving.

Let me change your mind
I thought yours were a lot better, theres were like 1.play one card 2. win 3. ????? no profit.

There's actually puzzles like these in the MTG Duels of the plainswalker computer games, and I'm sure there's been ones done before.

But they didn't use the puzzles he made so the effort it took him to make them is irrelevant
Your puzzles are way better than Blizz', which were too easy/simple. Yours are more indepth.
Yes they stole your idea.
No you won't get credit unfortunately.
But we pre-beta followers still appreciate the effort you put in :)

I didn't even know you made those puzzles. And yeah, there's a decent probability that they got their ideas from your posts/puzzles.
At least this thread serves the purpose of letting more people know about your awesome puzzles =D
OMG, in chess such puzzles were invented long before you were born
