With everyone selling HS beta keys, seeing them going for $300+, do you think that Blizzard will do similar to what they did with SC2 closed beta? Where they flooded the market with beta invites in order to discourage/screw over those people selling them for such high prices?
There are so many people that really want to play it, whats the issue in more people in the beta?
Once the beta progresses and they have faith in the service, the amount of beta invites will ramp up significantly I'd say. Will probably take a few more weeks before we see huge numbers of invites going out.
I don't think they'll change they number of keys they give out to stop key sales. I think they will shut down as many ebay auctions as possible. That's about it. Maybe they'll consider linking keys to accounts and maybe they'll think about only allowing accounts with games. I doubt they view it as a major issue.
I don't think they're necessarily going to do it to combat beta key sales, but pretty sure it'll go into open beta at some point which is a pretty strong argument against blowing a few hundred dollars for a beta key that's eventually going to be free to anyone that wants one.
Of course, the game itself will be free, too, so either way one's impatience is terribly costly here.
If blizzard had the intention of linking the keys to accounts they would have done it already. They won't change anything now. If they had any intention of only awarding keys to accounts with games they would have done that already. In fact, hearthstone is the ONLY beta you can opt into WITHOUT having a game attached tongue account. Try creating a new battle.net account with another email address and you will see.
Though it sucks that it happens, we can't do a thing about it :( Only Blizzard can stop this by only adding beta keys to a Blizzard account with atleast one Blizzard game.
This... There are a lot of Phishing e-mails going around, trying to sell keys. NONE of them are legitimate, you should ignore them all. The majority of cases, you will not even receive a key, so don't waste your time or money.
Patience is a Virtue, and a very valuable one in this case ;)
Or you know 300 dollars has a different relative value to some people than it does to other people? Additionally, depending on how many hours you end up playing before open beta it could be very cheap per hour entertainment.
While I wouldn't sell or buy a key, other people doing so doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Some people just can't wait for a key, look at the people spending insane amount of money on new gaming consoles when they first come out, They don't care what it costs they are just greedy and want it first.
Right now it is a race between which I'm going to get access to first, Hearthstone's closed beta or Hex's Alpha(slacker backer). It will be kind of sad if I'm playing Hex before Hearthstone, heh.
definitely not a scam. I'll give you my phone number if you'd like to discuss this over the phone :). I just google search sell hearthstone beta. email and I will give phone number so that you can call for at least *some* verification :).
Getting even more shadier.
not going buy into your trolling.
Still have that hearthstone key for sale! firstdayplaying@gmail.com . I can give you my skype address once you email.

Yep.
(off-topic: I like your avatar.)
Unless he's a fool using his parents' money.
Then it's gonna take some long time for that to happen =P

We must all be patient. If you don't get a key in closed beta, you will once it goes to open beta.
Your life force, is merely my play thing....It ebbs and flows at my will!

I'm just glad I got through the "holy crap you better give me a key right this instant" stage. Now I'm ready to wait a few weeks.
@ plupp2. A golden legendary card. You get it from buying a pack with real money during the beat. And it does carry over once beta is done.

First up, despite the title, this isn't the thread (or likely the forum) to advertise this.
Second, to anyone considering it, it's likely to be a scam.
Third... Double check that it's not a duplicate of your first key, lots of people have been getting a second duplicate key today.
I'll pay you with words of endearment

I have a spare key also, I'd rather give it for free but now that I need money why not sell it :p
