Before TGT, I felt like the game was actually fun. People were bitching about the usual Face Hunter and Grim Patron stuff but I felt like playing Control decks was more common than that, lots of fun long games, and yes losing to turn7 rush decks would suck from time to time but even they would be fun trying to overcome.
Since TGT there it feels like everyone is aggro deck or midrange, because if you play for the late game in this meta you lose unless you get the perfect pulls to deal with aggression. My decks that I practiced for hours last season to start getting better at this game are now getting facerolled EVERY game. I feel like this is intentionally done to create new decks from TGT which overpower the old ones in order to force older players with established decks as well as newer players to have to buy new packs to dust up and collect new cards.
Maybe I'm just mega salty but I don't play paladin and I don't have dust to build a deck if i wanted to, having gone all-in to make a Dmage and control warrior deck last month.

If anything, TGT has really helped the metagame. TGT gave us phenomenal anti-aggro tools, ranging from Refreshment Vendor to Bash. We have numerous options to tech against aggresive strategies, and honestly, only a handful of TgT cards are even good enough to play.

CW is still very viable, no idea why u complain then.
I never said it wasn't viable, I just said expect to coinflip against aggro decks and possibly lose with your mulligans. Which always was present, but in today's games when that's literally 90% of the deckstyles it's not really the best strategy to plan on winning a late game that no one is going to get to.
Maybe at the low low ranks it's more viable but in the bottom-feeder ecosystem there is far too much aggro to climb the ladder IMO. Maybe I just suck but if i cracked ranked 11 last season and can barely cross 16 this time something big changed no? I won't pretend I'm a hearth god but I like to think I'm not playing very differently(with nearly the same decks)

What Ranks are the best to play the CW at btw? I am thinking the CW is better Rank 5 and lower...but I'm not sure how well the CW deck does at 20 to 10 etc
I thought the game was in a good place before tgt even with the rush decks but was worried about the over reliance on rng. Not only has that continued but then they introduce new mechanics which are just badly implemented. Inspire actually is more useful for fast decks since they use low mana cards and are more likely to have mana left over to use for hero powers early on. Jousting which is for control is actually just awful because it's complete rng.
Also a lot of the voiceovers for tgt cards are just annoying. I'm playing less and less lately.
If aggro is a coinflip for you when playing cw ur doing something wrong. I personally have a 80% win ratio vs aggro as cw. I even had a 16 winstreak last season. Shaman's are a pain in the ass though but thats midrange.
Why don't you be more insightful? Personally if i pull grom ragnaros and varian going first not sure how you can expect to turn that around. stuff like that happens all the time. Then last turn before i die finally the damn war axe comes out.
Even with war axe shield block and shield slam sometimes the crazy powers that be can go against you, like watching a voidcaller summon 3/15 lord jurassis on turn 4 or 5.

No it happens a lot! I have had games with no weapons or early game removals against aggro...more than I can count on one hand. There is no way to recover from these bad starts as a CW (or any control type deck).

So phenomenal that nobody plays them...
The fact of the matter is that they are they if you NEED to play them. I doubt a deck running double Vendor, double Healbot going to lose to aggro very easily.

Everybody is playing those overpowered TGT decks that beat the old decks. I mean just look at face hunter, mech mage, freeze mage and tempo mage. They literally only have new cards and blizz wants us to buy 500 TGT cards to build these new overpowered decks.

You know what really burns me inside though? I spend 200$ of my hard-earned this summer to afford a DCW deck, and I'm losing to flood minion decks still. TGT just made flood style so much more effective.
I've seen more control than ever - at the higher ranks face hunter is almost nonexistent. There are a decent amount of secret paladins but about half of them are the slow variation that is closer to control than aggro. Control Warrior is EVERYWHERE and dragon priest (another deck that could never be called aggro) is fairly common. Patron and freeze mage are my two least favorite decks to pay against (yay interactivity!) but they're common and aren't aggro either.
As far as aggro goes it's a decent amount of aggro-secret and the odd mech mage here and there. I feel like I'm playing a totally different game than people in threads like this, it's as though the meta has slowed to a crawl for me...

I think the key word is higher ranks though, which I can't get to unless I use patron warrior to burn down the ranks. Which is how I hit 14 this season and switched to control...

Now we have anything from dragon priest to tempo mages and combo warriors. It feels really different from deck to deck. Yes, there are some problems with one or two decks, but it doesn't feel THAT bad for me. I'm legend player, not like 20 rank noob and I'm pretty happy with the state of the game right now.

Thats completely bullshit. You don't have to play patron to "get higher ranks". Don't exaggerate please and embrace your noobness.

Yeah I do, deal with it chump. I embrace my noobness. I just find it funny that the great decks I use before are all the sudden getting rolled by 400 dust non-rare minions and inspire random bullshit decks going for the face with floods of cheap ****. It's not really a fun game. Rather play pokemon cards rofl

That might also be due to increased competition due to ranked rewards. People are playing ladder mroe and more to get those sick Golden cards.

Thank god fifa in 4 days, this was a great summer game but it's not really that fun or even challenging atm. Either faceroll or be facerolled.
