It is not about if it is a dragon deck or not... Watch the video, no one should be able to one shot someone from nowhere in that situation, it is not a good thing for this game and is disgusting...
/looks at malygos druid deck and malygos mage deck that hits ppl in the face fom 30 to 0
/looks at divine spirit innerfire on a deathlord smashing faces on turn 4
/looks at people with alex going into face smash mode with gromm and a death's bite
the difference is that patron is the most popular one.
/looks at Loatheb and those decks' weakness to aggro
/looks at silence and hard removal
/looks at healing and taunts
The difference is that Patron destroys aggro, has more draw, and can do the damage immediately through multiple taunts.
Most people in the hearthstone community fail to understand why the game needs an active balance team putting out Patches every couple of weeks. 1. It keeps the game interesting (and not repetitive) 2. It nerfs OP flavors on the spot 3. creates more deck archetypes The only cons to this are from idiots who haven't played games with constant patches.

???
This doesn't make sense. It's a card game. Why would we need such regular patches ? For what ? Changing what YOU believe is making yourself not enjoy this game, That's quite selfish.

I don't see how people don't realize one important point:
Combo decks ALWAYS are favored versus Control decks.
The reason for this is that Control doesn't apply much pressure, meaning that combo decks have plenty of time to draw their combo.
Control warrior is the only exception to this rule, since Armor lets Warrior overheal out of range of some combos (hence why CW is historically well off versus combo rogues, Miracle and Oil).
This isn't to say that Patron Warrior is balanced, but that's partly why Flood said Dragon decks suck vs. Patron warrior, they often can't pressure enough to stop quality combo decks.

Having balance changes more than ~every 3 months would be overkill. You'd run the risk of hitting decks like mech mage/shaman, which seem op but die down after a couple of months.

Watch the video please, it was turn 8 for god sake!, a LOT of decks wouldn't have had a chance in that situation... omg, what I'm talking about???, probably no f...cking deck could have done anything about it and just lose... beating warriors before turn 8 is usually very, very hard, because you know, there is something called armour...
Then play Handlock. It has more combo cards then Patron, can pressure them easily and it's quite an easy matchup against them.
Am I the only one that is happy that Patron is a deck... like... I was playing Handlock and it turns out that the only deck I'm playing is the perfect counter.

Emperor was a HUGE buff to combo decks, tbh I coulda done the same thing with an Oil Rogue or a worgen warrior with a god hand and thaurissan tick.
I'm not saying patron is balanced, but my point remains that I'm bored of people complaining about combo decks, since it's often raging without anything constructive posted.

It has been debated to death in lots of threads... Are you happy with Handlock?, ok, that is good, but you know... some people wants to compete with other meta decks and don't be defeated in a retarded way because one deck is totally broken, dictates the meta, and the only viable counter is the deck you run. If you have watched the video, and think that a play like that is ok in turn 8, you must be crazy bro...
My favorite deck is my malygos shaman. The whole game all im doing is cycling for ancestral call, malygos and some dmg spells.
This decks best matchup is actually patron. The reason has already been stated... I only use Thalnos, gnomish, azures, thourissanan, healbot (1x) and malygos. Not enough minions to really make a huge combo. I can easily do 40+ dmg in 1 turn.
Even though my win rate vs patron is 5-0, its still only around 60% win rate b/c if malygos or ancestral call are on the bottom, its tough to beat any aggro/mid range deck

So, let me just ask everyone in this topic defending patron something. Go watch the video, then explain to me how miracle rogue pre-nerf could have won in that same exact situation. Oh wait, they couldn't because sap + old leeroy + shadow step + leeroy + shadowstep + leeroy was only 18 damage for 8 mana, even with emperor I believe it would be 6 mana cause shadow step goes off base cost not reduced iirc, which means best case is an eviscerate on top even with emperor + old leeroy which is still only 22 damage.
So if a deck that got nerfed for doing what patron does could not have won in this situation yet was still nerfed, why is patron fine?

I've always felt that Frothing Berserker was the bigger threat to be honest. I'm not really worried about Grim Patron. Grim Patron's can easily be dealt with. Frothing Berserker, though, needs to be changed to "Whenever this minion takes damage, gain +1 Attack" and I feel that would solve the issues everyone is having.
