Finally managed to get Legend for the first time!! Wohoooo!!!
From rank 17 -> rank 6 using Zoo
From rank 6 -> rank 1 using Secret Paladin
Initially I wanted to continue using secret paladin as it is already proven its worth of carrying me from rank 6 to rank 1, but I thought to myself I want to make my way to legend special and get it with my favorite class with my favorite deck that I really feel comfortable playing it, so I play Giant Echo Mage. I lost to Hunter (well timed Loatheb screwed me) and Secret Paladin (already controlled the board, lost due to not drawing Ice Block nor Alexstraza). Last three bosses were Combo Druid, Secret Paladin, and Tempo Mage (last boss, easy win thanks to Mirror Entity'ing Explosive Sheep and Doomsayer).
Finally all this burden is free from my chest! I am Legend now :) :) :)
Which secret paladin there is so many variations can you link please?
well, I think it's safe to say that I have to postpone the dream until next time.
meta actually slightly tilted towards a more aggro form, due to lack of time. My last three games were against face Hunter (no surprise there), the. Weird face Druid with leper gnomes spiders and finally turn 5 sawage roar... And then something I don't think I have seen before despite playing almost 2000 games in ranked+casual was a weird aggro charge with tons of weapons warrior. I actually lost to him in 4-5 turns but added and watched couple of his games, because his deck amused me quite a bit. :)
well done all those who made it this month! good luck for the rest of next month!
Today I have finally reached the legend rank. It was quite a chagellenge tbh. By the way I did it with classic midrange hunter on which I spent all the dust available (and I'm a f2p player) and it did pay off in the end.
Yesterday when I was 1 win of legend I got dc (due to my internet connection) and then lost like 10 games in row. That was a disaster.
But in the end everything is great and I am so happy.

Nice I actually ran a warrior like that when I first started Hearthstone, people always expected control warrior (BRM had just launched so Patron was not very common yet) and it would really surprise people.
I also ran into a few Mech warriors the other day which was surprising till I noticed the front page of hearthpwn had a mechwarrior on it haha.

I'm guessing a streamer was running it recently, because for whatever reason I ran into like 3 or 4 aggro mech warriors. Seemed like their plan was to hit you in the face with things like korkron and hide them behind annoyotron, and finish you with the good 'ole arcanite reaper heroic strike to the face.

I saw Amaz (i think it was Amaz) playing kind of a Mech Warrior like 10 days ago... But maybe not as reliable as other "face" options.
Ok guys I'm trying to make my first legend. I started today at rank 1 with one star. I've played quite a few games during the work day to make my grind easier tonight. But I'm right back were I started. I'm playing a pretty standard hybrid secret paladin list. Any suggesting how to make it through to my first legend? Should I just stick with the deck or try a more Aggro approach with a different deck or and Aggro secret pally?
It was extremely difficult, but I ended up getting Legend with 2 days left to go in the season. :) Very much worth it! Couldn't have done it without the support of all my battle.net friends!
I use a classic Priest deck with some modifications for LEGEND ranks.
http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/332274-s18-legendary-mid-secret-paladin-guide
That is the basic one that I used for laddering, except I did some modification:
-1 Secretkeeper + 1 Haunted Creeper
-1 Blessing of Kings + 1 Consecration
-1 Sword of Justice + 1 Coghammer
Playing ranked right now against Priest. Roping from turn 2... Really
Great art can never be created without great suffering.
Finaly :)
Just hit Rank 2, hopefully i can get legend for the first time tomorrow morning!

Gratz on legend, especially with handlock this season! You were on a mission where failure was not an option.

Guys! I just hit legend just now this morning with my own midrange hunter, this is my first time and I am so happy and relieved.

Greatness, at any cost.
How many more hours till S19?
Congrats to those who made legend this month! On EU, the new season already started, so let's continue the talk in the next season's topic:
