So, it has been a couple of days since TGT was first released. I'm sure all of you here have opened your TGT packs and now there are new decks popping out here and there. Totem Shaman, Silver Hand Paladins, Beast Hunters, to name a few
It got me thinking, now that TGT is released, what do you think is the best minion out there that really dominates the meta. GvG we had like Dr Boom in every single non-face deck. BRM we had like the revival of warrior with Patrons and we had combo decks made possible with Emperor. So I want to hear your thoughts of THE minion/spell that changed the meta. (The minion should be a neutral)
I don't think there's a neutral minion that has had/will have that much impact on the game, what makes Dr. Boom so "balanced" is that there was not nor is there other viable choices at the 7 drop slot. I was really, really hoping Blizzard would release viable class or neutral 7 drop minions like a 6/8 Taunt etc. just so F2P players could fill the slot.
To me, Twilight Guardian is kind of the "Dr. Boom" of this set, not because it's OP but because it's the "missing link" in all dragon decks.
Gormock The Impaler, I feel, is the must have neutral card. His effect is a great early removal tool for Paladins... and you also get his 4/4 body.
As far as class specific cards, it's definitely Mysterious Challenger. You are going to see A LOT of this card, and their is going to be a million threads made to show possible counters to the deck that this card is in.

Not good enough. That's like killing one head of a 4 headed Hydra.
I don't think there is a "Dr. Balanced" in TGT, but it doesn't mean there won't be a new one in the coming expansions. Anyway can someone who has TrueHeart and Nexus-champion Saraad PM me? I really want to know which is the better overall craft.

If you look closely, you can see this is a signature and not a comment. Why are you reading? Stop reading this. Did you read this too? Dang you must like reading.
If you compare TGT to GvG in terms of meta impact TGT pales in comparison. Dragon decks got a little more toys, moving them from tier 3 decks to tier 2. Shaman is better now but that's one class getting a huge buff, deserved one.
One of the best legendaries of TGT and probably the best neutral - Justicar Trueheart is nothing compared to Dr. Boom. It's good in Paladin, decent in greedy Warrior but that's all.
The set has been out for a week. I am sure there are going to be more viable decks incoming.

Justicar is stronger overall because its' effect sticks around. No half decent player will ever let Saraad live, so at best you can inspire the same turn you play it and get one random spell. Any opponent who lets that live on their turn was about to lose anyway.

Tech Flare inc for Midrange Hunters? It has a secondary situational effect and even replaces itself as to not be 100% useless otherwise.

That definitely works. Flare is really the only counter to it right now, besides having the appropriate cards in hands to play around the secrets successfully.

For the rest of us non-Hunters, there's really nothing to be done besides playing around them. I had theorycrafted a Secret Paladin deck after seeing Mysterious Challenger for the first time, but scrapped it because I thought the likelihood of drawing into a bunch of secrets and getting wrecked in the early game was too likely. Yet, every Secret Paladin that I've faced so far manages to keep most of their Secrets firmly in their deck until Turn 6. Shows what I know.
Attacking their big minion is out of the question, since Noble Sacrifice will absorb any attack and trigger Avenge to make life miserable. It may be worth it to start leaving a Silver Hand token on the board to (hopefully) get buffed and still be manageable.

Justicar true heart in priest is outstanding if you haven't tried. With the addition of achenai of course.
I guess there isn't any outstanding 'minion' but Justica seems to be the mascot for TGT
Twilight Guardian
Thunder Bluff Valiant
Tuskarr Totemic
Three most annoying cards for me. Ladder FILLED with dragon priests and totemic shamans. OpieOp.
This. I'm glad there isn't one hugely amazing and universal legendary this time, but rather quite a few good ones.

varian has the same pose as dr boom :P i know hes for warrior only but hes on the brokeness level of dr boom
There is nothing like a Dr.Boom this time out. There are decent cards, but nothing that screams "OP!!"

I tried Gormock today, not bad I must say. It synergies well with Impolsion and Muster IMO

My oppenent played varian and get ragnaros , ysera and boom. And do you know what i did ? Shadowflame to molten giant.

I'm happy we don't have another Dr.Boom. It's way better having different cards for different decks lol
