Everyone and their dog has jumped on the aggro bandwagon. It began harmlessly, but annoyingly enough with hunters. Then reynad's rush warrior spread in popularity. Suddenly people realized that aggroing someone down brainlessly gives easy wins and now EVERYONE is running hyper aggro decks. Warriors, hunters, murloc locks, murloc shamans, aggro/enrage mages, sword of justice pallies and even druids with a bunch of 1 and 2 drops and savage roar as finisher.
What used to be a meta full of 7 legendaries per deck and ultra late game druids has devolved into mass aggro decks from every class.

The game just got very stupid very quickly.
That's the way it is, really. Until people start building decks that counter this, there is absolutely no reason to stop playing aggro.
I think in the first xpac (adventure, whatever) they should increase your hero's health to 35 or 40. This would make the decks that kill you by turn 4-5 a lot less popular.
"wow 7 legendaries, put legendaries in the deck and p2w gg" " aggro decks everywhere,so much skill" , its just the way it is , people will always cry about something when they lose :P
I'm fine with it. As long as you are playing within the limits of the game, what does it matter? I'd rather face a rush deck than the double 0 mana cost Molten Giant then drop Defender of Argus or Sunfury Protector combo I keep seeing that is really annoying. Nothing worst than thinking you are about to win then seeing those get dropped for basically nothing and having little to no way around them.
Yeah, most commonly you will either verse slow decks, like the druid legendaries heavy decks, or fast decks, like aggro warrior. This similar meta has been around for quite a while. It's a thing. *meh*. I'd rather see a light-on-legendaries deck that tries to rush me down, when compared to a tirelessly slow druid deck with half a deck of legendaries, often played with as little skill as the rush deck. But maybe that's just my preference. It's just a thing, doesn't matter.
I made the switch to aggro last week because I kept facing a ton of control decks. I got tired of matches going tons of turns past 10 mana and the game basically devolving into one of us top decking a card. Nothing was worse than spending 20 minutes in a ranked match to lose to RNG and then start the process over again.
so I switched and I'm super happy with it. Matches take far less time and even if I lose I can quickly make it up because of the game speed. Not to mention they are a great counter to late game heavy decks.

You should give Murloc Warlock a try then. It's usually smooth sailing as long as you don't get horrible draws.

That's what u run. Lol
I made it to rank 10 and only reason it didn't go higher was because I was testing Flood's Priest deck and didn't have enough time before the reset. I find the Murlock deck puts pressure on the opponent to not make mistakes, it requires them to constantly assess which minions to kill, and if they dont draw the right cards it's hard to handle.
Nope. I was using a midrange deck. Then, I myself was trying out the warrior rush deck. Then I ran into 8 aggro decks in a row and realized how stupid the entire game has become.
I'm not saying I'm above it, nor am I saying to nerf anything, nor am I crying that I lost.
I'm simply pointing out that the meta is brainless. Go for the face rush decks saturate the game and it's just a shame.
Can no one say ANYTHING negative without the trolls coming out to scream "QQ l2p"? I'm just pointing something out that I've noticed so enough trolling please.
My problem isn't the aggro type of decks,my problem is that in HS aggro is too boring, the minions got no synergy or combos, the only exception to that being Murlocks(which again the deck isnt entirely murloc)...
I mean, compare HS aggro with MTG aggro, for example Human white aggro was so cool to play with, well I guess that any type of deck is cooler to play with in mtg,and blizzard doesnt leave many choices in decks tbh...just board interaction, well sorry blizzard but this is boring,u better add more minion mechanics and things like graveyard interaction or w/e,or ppl will quit after 1 month of playing...
I know that a good number of ppl will start atking me now for what i suggest, but hey!this is what made other popular card games succesful...
A fast metagame, whilst not ideal, is much more enjoyable than a possible late-game legendaries-heavy meta, which would in many circumstances resort to "who can best top-deck" competitions.

You must admit though that human white consisted of cards from 3+ expansions, which Hearthstone hasn't yet.
I just agree with you Hearthstone could need more mechanics, but for now, Hearthstone just has enough for their single "expansion". Every class has their own flavour, and most classes can be played in several ways quite good-ish. Just reduce Magic to it's plain first expansion (Alpha or Beta), it actually had not that many choices it has now (add in P9 isn't a new thing to the competitive scene and wasn't restricted).
Anything which enriches the meta, changes it and allows for completely new type of decks has to come from expansions.
P.S.: Playing Magic for nearly 20 years now, I'm quite happy with Hearthstone and its casual quick match style. (mind you I run a shop selling TCG/CCGs, I actually should say Hearthstone is crap, but it isn't)

Yeah i agree with you, that's the reason i havent quit yet(though im not playing much anymore),w8ing for expansions,i hope they will make HS better.
it is just a half day less time consuming climbing to rank 5 with rush decks instead of controll decks and new players can only play rush decks because of lack of cards.

I still see more late-game druid than rushdown, so *shrug*

Too bad aggro mostly died out in arena. Killing my anti-aggro playstyle along with it, LOL.

So you're suggesting its OK to have a legendary meta, but not okay to have an Aggro meta.
If you don't like the meta, get in the lab and find a way to beat it.

Give me aggressive opponents over painfully slow players every time.
