Emperor is decent in CW. 0 mana shield slam and execute or 10 mana Sylvannas + brawl combo if the effect procs on either.
I main CW and Control Paladin so I crafted a golden Justicar and Varian. So Justicar is one of those cards that has a very high value if you are stablelizing. It won't save you when your behind on board. In the long run Justicar is better, but you immediately get value from Shieldmaiden. Tough one to call really. Depends on the meta.
Upgrade is a surprise to see- I like the idea. I'm a huge Gorehowl fan, and really do think it's better than Sylvanas (that's what I removed, and I see you don't have her either). I'm not sold on Bash over cruel taskmasters, though, nor the lack of whirlwinds- do you have any issues with Grom? What about with all the face aggro? I've seen no meta-slowing at all yet.
Also, double brawl is a no-go for me, unless you're very heavy on the Patron MU, in which case you'll probably face a lot of Harrison, and thus I'd not run upgrade/gorehowl. In practically every non-patrom MU when I had double brawl, I had a brawl sitting in hand doing nothing.
This deck is all about trading 2 for 1 and getting more value out of your cards. I use my face to clear everything. Bash is deal 3 heal 3 for 3 which is pretty strong, and it synergies with shield slam, so you can deal 6 for 4 mana (lots of new dragons are 6 health, 3/6 taunt, 6/6 taunt ect.) Bash also allows you to get odd numbers like 5 to use with your slams to deal with thaurissan or belchers ect.
Grommah has been iffy, it always trades 2 for 1. I haven't seen any harrison i dont think he gets people that great of value, most weapons are 2 durability so people are only drawing 1 for 5, mind as well run ooze which doesn't trade very well either. Another thing is that the "good" weapons are 4 mana, so you're pretty much guaranteed to only get 1 card off of it.
Gorehowl is mainly for midrange decks, you just have to live til turn 7 and with 26 armor (not including armor smiths) without heropower and all the weapons with the ability to do 5/3 or 5/2 weapon, it lets you clear things pretty easily.
