Hope they nerf giants so I can disenchant the 4 moltens I have, along with the golden sea giant. I hardly even play constructed, but hoarding dust is kinda nice, LOL.
Those weird threads demanding nerfs of perfectly balanced cards always make me laugh. The dominant decks at the moment dont even run giants.
The popularity-Strength correlation argument. Popular decks are unjustly nerfed not for their power, but for their popularity. Likewise, unpopularity of a card does not imply weakness.
So you are suggesting a nerf for something that isnt even being played in high ranks? When it gets popular again, then you make that thread. But guess what, It wont because its perfectly balanced. If it was broken it wouldnt have gotten out of the meta.
Just because something isn't popular in the current meta-game doesn't mean it isn't broken. Giants have natural counters (big game hunter) so they can never be a dominating deck, but everything that can cost 0 has the potential to be broken (it has been always been like that in all card games ever).

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.

The thread is just a litmus test for a small change to molten that was popularly suggested. I'm not trying to push any nerfs, nor was I ever in complaint with the giants. Besides, Blizzard seems to nerf based on popularity.
Not sure were it was popularly suggested. This is the first time I hear a complaint about Molten Giants. If you want to whine about something then you can whine for Leeroy and the ridiculous combo Rogue deck that can get up to 90% win ratio at top legend.
this X's 20 and something to add..shamans otk that can do 24 dmg in a single turn and you say giants need a "slight" nerf LOL..?

You caught me. I made this thread because I want to DE my 3 mountain giants and 6 moltens *devious smile*
The difference between Molten Giant and any other win condition is that if the Molten Giant gets dealt with, you lose on the spot (having 10 or less life).
BGH, silence, hard removal and Burn spells all counter the Giant+taunt plan pretty bad. They were a problem when they were part of the OTK warrior, since that's gone i think they're fine
Blizzard mostly nerf cards which are a strong part of a no board interaction with minions kind of play(like stalling with freeze, like burning with pyroblast, like otk with UTH or Warsong commander),or cards which are strong enough to fit in any deck(like sylvannas).
Since giants don't fall in any of these categories and have immediate board interaction like Blizzard wants HS to be about, then I dont see why they should be nerfed.
Also Motlen giants are a huge threat for 0 mana cause they got a huge condition to play them for that mana, there are so many ways to die next turn even if u use taunt on them(btw defender+2 molten giants at turn 4 is way too situational lol, never happened to me when i play with my handlock or against them),mountain giant well,i dont see why would any1 even bother whining about him, seems pretty balanced.
Blizzard already nerfs everything that is different than playing a minion every turn ,trading or going str8 for face,so dont give them reasons to nerf the few cards left that make the game feel a little bit unique...

Yea, you might be right about this. Perhaps it is best if the giants are left the way they are.
I started playing paladin because this combo just irritated me to much, pyro+equality is just about the only thing that can wipe them.
Assassinate, Shadow Word Death, Big Game Hunter, Hunters Mark/anything with charge or something like Arcane Shot(even a 1/1 boar is fine), deal one damage to it SOMEHOW whether its a minion's ability or a cheap minion you have on the field and execute, do I need to go on?
Palaxar, there are lots of fantastic spot control cards in the game that deal with giants quite well. That said when you have good hard control cards you tend to save them for the 4+ legendary cards that most decks run, so as a warlock i can drop two 8/8's then give em taunt and +1. If you can deal with them, then maybe ill drop Yassra, or Rag, or anyone else, ony... or maybe another set of giants if the fates have aligned. The reason why i dont like molten giants is that they seem to be @ the center of every obnoxious build that eventually gets nerfed. But yes... please do go on explaining the basic removal cards to me .

Before I disprove your fallacy, which legendaries are you assuming "most decks run", and more importantly, how many of those top-level decks use ALL of those legendaries that you speak of?
Edit: More specifically, show me the deck(s) that you're talking about that have all these oh-so-amazing giants and legendaries that apparently together have no counters?
I have purposely avoided this debate due to... laziness. I touched on it during my blog last night, but I feel a card like Molten Giant is bad for the game, the "Synergy" it allows in Mage, Warlock (and previously in OTK Warrior decks) clearly show that it can be abused as a card to the detriment of the metagame - It needs to have it's effect changed somewhat, at the very least it needs a nerfing. But the other giants, *meh*, no problems with those at all.
I disagree, although I don't personally play the lock giants deck anymore, I do still run into them, and the cards are pretty situational. Yeah theirs times that they can totally fuck you over, but your opponent has to be at 10 or less health for them to be free and as we already know being at 10 or less health is a pretty big deal and usually means your going to die next turn if you don't have anything planned. This is the only giant that anyone will get for free under any normal circumstances. And for the mountain giants if you don't get them off in time they will become a dead card in hand. Which is a huge thing to worry about. They will never be less then 3 mana, and they require you as a lock to not do anything your first 4 turns to even play them early game. They are very very very vulnerable to big game hunter, and other hard removal spells. Not to mention black knight if they get taunt. So if the meta is these giants deck, just run 2 bghs, and some hard removal and you won't have a problem taking them down. Not to mention BGH is also good against rag and other big legendaries so even if you don't run into giants after giants, still provides a solid removal for big minions. The giants warlock deck has been around for some time now so I don't think any changes will be made. All in all I think molten giants were more of a problem then any, and they were a bigger problem before the nerfs to warriors. This is not a debunking post to anyone who feels different then I, just simply throwing out my 2c.

It got out of the meta for a reason. Its not broken.
Did you even read my post? Ice block for example is broken. It can't be a dominating force in the current meta-game because a lot of the other mage cards that synergise with it have been nerfed to the ground, but if a new set gets released with cards that have synergies with it you will see how broken it is.
