Just hit level 50 on my Paladin and it doesn't seem like I'm gaining anymore experience. The reward for level 50 is a golden version of the class. I tried clicking everything(lobby, stats, editor, etc...), but couldn't find where to change it to the golden version so perhaps it's not implemented yet. When I got the reward for the golden version, it wasn't shiny either.
Here's the deck I'm currently using as well if you're curious. Disclaimer: I'm not implying that I'm any good. Paladin Deck Blessing of Might: Extremely good 1mana that can be combined with Big Game Hunter in a pinch. Blessing of Wisdom: One of the best deck thinner. Noble Sacrifice: Really good early game so having 1 is enough. Redemption: Can be combined with Acolyte of Pain(draw), Emperor Cobra(kill), Harvest Golem(summon), or Argent Commander(charge) Equality: This is a Paladin's bread and butter. All Paladin decks should have 2 of this... Faerie Dragon: Good to have one early game to pressure. Knife Juggler: 2mana that can deal a good amount of damage if used with your hero power. Novice Engineer: Decent deck thinner. Acolyte of Pain: Just need to be attacked twice to pay for itself. Aldor Peacekeepr: Useful throughout the whole game. It's a 3mana for 3/3... Big Game Hunter: Extremely good card that synergize well with Blessing of Might. Emperor Cobra: Haven't really found a good use for this card, but people seems to be scared of it. Harvest Golem: Only small cost card that has Deathrattle to summon. Truesilver Champion: Practically a charge minion with 2 life gain on attack. Blessing of Kings: I find it useful to bait enemy spells. Consecration: A Paladin's staple. Hammer of Wrath: Decent card, but I Wish it was 3 damage + 1 to adjacent instead... Sen'jin Shieldmasta: This card is just too good. Every decks should have 2 :D Spellbreaker: Decent card that can silence a minion. Stormwind Knight: Underrated card that I find it extremely useful. Nightblade: Very useful. Avenging Wrath: A better version of consecration in my opinion. Useful for taking away Divine Shield. Argent Commander: Good enough to have 1 and no more. Sunwalker: Not that great, but there aren't anything better. I have found that Paladin is really bad early game because most of their cards cost a lot and the ones that are cheap does nothing. So the goal of this deck is to minimize luck and take as little risk as possible while staying alive long enough to pull out your cards. Shutting down the enemy good minions while pressuring with your own minion and making them have to trade with your minions is the basis for this deck. Loses to Warlocks that use a Murloc deck 99% of the time though...
Winrate against; Warrior: There are no Warriors in Master rank. Shaman: 75% Rogue: 50% Paladin: 99% Hunter: 75% Druid: 75% Warlock: 25% Mage: 99% Priest: 99%
And lastly, this is my battle tag if you would like to add me to challenge or chat. Yasi#1422
I have over 300 games played and after I reached master rank I haven't seen any Warrior players. I'm not exaggerating either. Not sure why there aren't any Warriors.
What about the golden basic class cards? Each class has 10 regular basics, of which you get two of each, for a total of 20. Starting at level 20 it seems like you get 1 golden basic card every 2 levels, so if it continues like that from 20-50 it doesn't seem like there are enough even levels to get a full set of golden class basics.
Am I wrong? Are you still missing any golden basic paladin cards?
Warlocks can only turn into Jaraxus because that is his battlecry power. There are no other cards that replace the hero in the game currently for any other classes.
The Missions set heroes only appear during the tutorial, and the Basic set heroes are the 9 heroes you normally choose from. Jaraxxus is the only other Hero in the game, and although you cannot start with him in your deck if you're not a warlock, any class can become Jaraxxus if they manage to get his card in their hand. For example, I've seen a priest become Jaraxxus by using Mind Vision.
Nice job! Question though, For the basic gold cards do they start giving them to you at a quicker rate? because I am only getting one of them every two levels with my warrior at 23 and If it continues at that pace I dont think you will get them all by 50. If I did the math right.

You get a golden basic card every level once you hit around 30 I think.

Yes, you start getting them every level at some point.

That's what makes me sad to hear that. Hope it's not some kind of balance issue. Or maybe people just didn't take to their style of play.
With an all digital game like this they can update balance issues even after launch, so I wouldn't be too concerned about it. Plus you get exp even losing. So if warrior is your jam you can get it to 50 with enough time invested.

I only have 43 games played, also at masters rank, and have already run into a few warriors. I also see warrior players a decent number of times in arena as well. I do run into mostly rogues and paladin, and play rogue myself. However, i feel that they're popular choices due to cards being more obtainable. As a warrior to actually play well, you're going to need those weapons that cost a @#$% ton of dust to forge.
A bit off topic, but is it even possible to lose rank? or is rank just grinding (kinda like exp)? Like in StarCraft your rank can actually go down if you lose enough, but I can't find any info on the rank system in HearthStone.
How wasn't this pointed out earlier? Max level is 60 and it has absolutely nothing to do with the golden heroes, which are gained by winning 500 games in ranked.

OMG lvl 50? Congratulations! :)
No warriors that high? Damn. Grats on 50.

Well gz on level 50. Question Does paladin swap heroes? Like locks can swap form Guldan to Jaraxus?
Warlocks can only turn into Jaraxus because that is his battlecry power. There are no other cards that replace the hero in the game currently for any other classes.

What the heck is a gold version of the class? Shiny border maybe? They will get around to it eventually.
Sick win rates... and a very balanced deck.

I don't have Jaraxus and there's no card for me to get it.
Yes, you start getting them every level at some point.
Congrats.
Nice to hear the cap mystery is solved ;)

I am curious what are the levels for your other classes? Have you practically been playing only the paladin?
I think my total levels its at like 130ish now but it is spread out pretty evenly, with on or two classes a little higher.

I have mage level 60 but I still haven't unlocked the golden portrait, has this bug not been fixed yet?
I don't know if ur serious or not, but Golden Portrait is gained only through winning 500 games with that class in ranked.
