I was having a super fun time with the new cards, and the refreshing inspire mechanic in this weeks brawl, while contemplating of possible new strategies and viable decks, but then i watched Trump and Lifecoach's review, and immediately stopped playing brawl. Now i think that all the cards are boring, and TGT a failure :'(, Trump and Lifecoach say so, so it must be the truth.
Just remember what trump said about dr.boom and smile :)
I've seen this cherrypicking a lot these days. He was wrong about dr. boom, but what about all the other cards he said they were terrible and indeed were? I'm no trump fan or supporter, but he is usually right abot card power, and pretty much all other pro players are saying TGT is gonna suck ass. Yeah, they will be wrong about half a dozen cards, but in an universe of 132 cards that are mostly terrible.
What you guys need to realize is that all it takes is ONE card to spring ONE new deck to COMPLETELY change the face of a meta. When GvG came out, mechs were a success in the form of mech mage, the juggernaut deck that brought handlock and zoo to their knees, springing a whole new meta. When BRM was announced, everyone was reviewing the cards talking about how this is poop because of mech mage, and this card slots right into mech mage etc etc, and the dragons that everyone was excited for, failed. Then, along comes grimm patron, the gimmick deck, completely taking over the format causing mech mage to fade into obscurity, subsequently also knocking off midrange paladin and the OP quatermaster combo. Handlock then comes back, spell mage is invented etc.
All it takes is one major cog to get thrown in that noone saw coming to change the entire game and how people think about hearthstone. It has happened in every expansion so far. It will happen in TGT, it will happen in the next expansion also. The only way that this will ever change is when they get a large enough card pool to where they can segregate the game into formats to stop the power creep while keeping things fresh, interesting and fun. Until then, the only way they will make money is via power creep to keep people wanting more. So, whether you, or these pros think so or not, the game IS going to change in TGT, the health, growth, and public interest of HS depend on it.
Lifecoach and trump [double-yawn] will do as they always do. Wait a bit, for other streamers to come up with cool decks using the newest cards, then copy them, and make new videos detailing how amazing each new addition is to this [net] deck. Is Trump still pretending he invented zoo? Is LC still banning everyone who disagrees with him, even politely? ....
Agree with the above poster. Lifecoach/Trump aren't good people to listen to regarding new cards and deck design. Mainly, because they just copy whatever the most popular deck at the time is. There is as reason why they are never top legend..they can't create good counter decks to the top decks out..they just play the top decks and reach rank 200 legend which is so easy to do.

The nature of numerical rankings dictate that reaching rank 200 out of millions is anything but easy. That is quite literally like stating that, from a pool of 7.5 million american football players, that its easy to make it to the nfl, or like stating that its easy to win an mtg pro tour.

I'll give you the fact that trump is an uncreative turd when it comes to deckbuilding but I have seen him get to the low ranking legends several times.

So we can easily assume you're rank 200 legend each season.
And congrats to you if it's the case, but please remember that being a top skilled player doesn't mean every body is. Even with a lot of training, being a Tom Brady / Valentino Rossi / Federer / Insert your favorite sport hero here isn't given, you need training, sure, but raw talent too. A lot of training and a lot of raw talent.

Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.
To offer some hope for your favorite class, I'd say the priest legendary is a very good card. It hasn't gotten as much hype but I think it's at least in the top 5-7 cards in this xpac and perhaps the most underrated. Yes, there is rng involved but dropping 2 legendaries in one turn is going to be very powerful more often than not.
Guys it's interesting to look at the pros thoughts on new cards but dudes like lifecoach and Trump (both whom I like) are not deck pioneers and builders. They are good players for sure (anyone who says they aren't are simply daft or jealous) but that doesn't mean they are gospel on new cards. I am far more likely to listen to the opinion of someone like Firebat on new cards if only because he is both a good deck builder and player.
i watched both coach and trump reviews and while i dont trust trump i think coach's opinion is much respected and true given all the thought and time and research (with numbers) he puts to most cards.
Ofc none can account for everything and in some cases coach will be wrong but i think that with most cards he will be right.
Before seeing those reviews i also thought inspire mechanic was slow and joust was unreliable, as many people did.
I like this expansion though more than gvg because the cards seem more interesting and i belong to the category of people who make and play their own decks regardless of the winrate.
Now if you are of the copypasta netdeck category i feel for u.
Why are you guys arguing about something that is not even out? Relax chill and wait till the expansion comes out. Many people will experiment with the cards and when the good cards are evaluated everyone will have an answer. Every single card in hearthstone has some value even a wisp. You just have to know how to play it. You won't get any answer by just saying it is so without any reasons. What you do is arguing about theories but I assume many people here are taking these theories too practical DansGame
I am sure that some cards will se more play that you can imagine.
I cannot disagree more with their negative evaluations of this set. I am very excited about this set and think there will be a ton of playable cards. There are some incredibly powerful cards that will completely change the meta. My favorites so far are: Fallen Hero, Eadric the Pure, Holy Champion, Healing Wave, and I suspect that Chillmaw will slow the meta down considerably. A lot of the cards are being undervalued because they do not have super powerful effects by themselves but Blizzard has very obviously moved to a different card design strategy. Instead of trying to give weak minions powerful abilities, they seem to be trying to give good minions useful abilities but not overly powerful abilities. The stats of these minions are being overlooked by some of the casters. The players that play some of the best decks at the highest level are not always the best deck builders so keep that in mind.
I am also glad to see them giving us some more mid-range options for minions. I think that has been missing for some time in hearthstone. I believe that giving mid-range decks some more tools will also indirectly nerf some of the combo decks that have become very prevalent.
Arena will also be much more fun because there will be a higher percentage of well-stated minions allowing for more options with deck synergy. Overall I am very much looking forward to the set and think it will do a lot to add strong options for many new decks and play styles.

They both were severely mistaken about Dr. Boom, so there's that.

Let's remind ourselves what Lifecoach has said bout Dr. Boom before anything talk anymore BS about him.
Lifecoach preview GvG, scroll to 14:10 to see the part at Boom Boom Bots.
Yes, Dr. Boom is insane.
Thanks for this, lots of people just assumed that Dr. Boom was undervalued by everyone but Strifecro.
