I started the day by watching some of Lifecoach's TGT review. Essentially, everything is bad except for 2 cards Tuskarr Totemic and Varian Wrynn (possibly Healing Wave as third place.) He then said there are about 11 acceptable cards total. So that means 119 cards are crap.
Then Trump later was saying that the new Inspire mechanic is just too slow as are the relevant cards attached to it as well, saying the meta wouldn't really change. And he crapped on like 7-10 cards that he said were obviously bad and wouldn't see play. They both agreed that Priest got crapped on in general and agreed that it's the worst class and didn't get any TGT help. (I love Priest)
Anyhow, I'm much more less enthused and excited about TGT now. I mean, only a handful of cards good/great out of 132?!
They could always be wrong. Maybe Inspire wont be slow we dont know. Dont worry I bet lots of people said stuff like that about GVG and look what happened.
It's much too soon to know what is good and bad for TGT. The cards aren't out yet and no one can test card interactions. In a month or two, we will know much better.
No one, not even those two can see where the meta will be a month or two from now. The meta will change because there will be new decks that come to prominence, it's how much it changes is the question. I have seen the meta change pretty drastically over the last few weeks and the cards are not even out yet....so yea.
As more and more cards are introduced, either through expansion or adventures, Blizzard would need to put in more effort to release new and exciting cards for us. Since GvG was the first expansion introducing like 135 cards or something, that's a huge percentage of the existing pool of cards. With TGT, the percentage is much lower. Dunno.
Not everything needs to be sunshine and rainbows HYPE HYPE HYPE.
That said, even if Lifecoach is correct, 11-20 cards can make a world difference for the meta. Just look at BRM introducing Patrons - every other archetype had to adapt (or perish).
They are good at "driving" decks. Thats it, thats why they are pros. And Trump isnt even a good player.
Most of the pro players are not good deckbuilders, they just can learn and execute a deck's strategy to its fullest potential.
So their opinions are irrelevant unless they are good deckbuilders and have a clear insight to the next meta.
That's not true. They are playing enough of this game to actually be able to discuss the meta. Also... what do you know about their deckbuilding capibilities., Yeah right, nothing.

5 classes got waaaay better healing possibilities now. Paladin, Shaman mainly. Then goes Druid. Because astral comunion decks might make tree of life more playable. Than go Priest and Warrior, cayse of Justicar.
I believe if outhealing decks like Pala with 5/5 that heals for 7 and Shaman with healing wave force people to not play face hunter, mech mage, perhaps oil rogue, people will start to look for more greedy options, and than a ton of inspire cards might be of help.
That's the best case scenario for this expansion and I can see why people are negative. I mean, the biggest flaw of the whole expansion for me is Tournament Medic. It's almost the only inspire neutral that sticks on board.. and it does not help you to overwelm your opponent. I don't see reason to use my hero power twice and for 1 mana cheapers, if the only thing it does is making Frost Giant cheaper. A cheap 8/8 will NOT shift the meta at this point.

All the "pros' decks differ only by like 2 cards. They all use the same decks that was created by someone else.

That just proves that the deck is effective... nothing more... nothing less. Welcome to the competitive world of Hearthstone, where some decks are better then others...

Thanks guys for all your input. I guess the reason why I'm depressed is that somehow I agreed with their assessment, namely, Inspire is too slow and the Inspire-related cards aren't that great. I was literally super-excited before I watched their reviews lol.
I hope they are wrong and things slow down. I'd hate to just keep seeing Patron and the other usual suspects :/

No well enough to know that trump was plain wrong on a few GvG cards. Especially wrong on Boom. Most people also didn't like Dark Bomb. Not saying they can't discuss the meta, they absolutely can and should. I listen to all of Trumps card reviews. Just saying that his point is not entirely without merit. Regardless of what people think, we should definitely wait and see. We can all get a little taste tomorrow

Please find another forum where you can troll people!
I had enough of your all-knowing wisdom. I could go on and discuss why I disagree with you but I wont feed the troll.
Seriously, thats not the first case, leave this website with your great wisdom!
Unfortunately, I'm not trolling. It's not about all-knowing wisdom. It's about damn logic. I guess that's not something everyone is familiar with on this forum. I won't leave. I love debating constructive topics.

Of course. Nobody can argue that their review will be 100 % on point. Still... they are providing a decent review with the information they have at this very moment.

They both were excited about GvG in comparison.
I'm depressed a bit. Can anyone else relate?
They could always be wrong. Maybe Inspire wont be slow we dont know. Dont worry I bet lots of people said stuff like that about GVG and look what happened.
I generally agree. TGT is weak. Worst card pack by far.
It's much too soon to know what is good and bad for TGT. The cards aren't out yet and no one can test card interactions. In a month or two, we will know much better.
They are right. You can't except all cards coming from an expansion to be playable. If 30 of them sees play in constructed, that's perfect.

Well hey, most cards in GvG are bad. So maybe the inverse will happen?
Wow. Just... wow.

Patron is bad - most (if not all) streamers ;)
