I think the problem here is that everyone is reviewing the cards as if they are intended to all be used competitively and in the pro scene. I think a lot of these new cards are targeted towards newer players and helping them catch up with the rest of us. New players have limited dust and gold, so being able to afford to make a reasonable Totem or a Beast druid deck out of the new commons and rares is a very good thing for them. It could allow them to climb the ranks and become better players. On the offchance it does slow down the meta, it'll make a more friendly environment for the newbies and give everyone a little more leeway in making their decks. Hearthstone needs to keep on bringing in new players and make sure they have fun to keep them playing, so while TGT might not pander to the people who have been playing longer, it's still good for Hearthstone as a whole and bringing people into the community.
They are good at "driving" decks. Thats it, thats why they are pros. And Trump isnt even a good player.
Most of the pro players are not good deckbuilders, they just can learn and execute a deck's strategy to its fullest potential.
So their opinions are irrelevant unless they are good deckbuilders and have a clear insight to the next meta.
Yeah, right. A player who got several times to Legend #1 and won several tourneys can't even be considered a "good player". I'd like to see you achieve the same.
I was going to say something along the same lines.. It's like a fat nerdy gamer who thinks a hot chick isn't hot enough for him.
Only thing this game realy needs to shift meta is a patron nerf. Without, Control will still have 2 enemys to face, namely patron and agro and thats just to much to handle.
Delusion.
Control handles patron very well. Handlock wreck them. CW is favoured too. Don't know about freeze. Please educate yourself.
What a bulshit, favoured? Like Trump was favoured utill he ate 50+ damage othk in recent tournament?
But i realy lost it, when you didnt know about freeze vs. warrior with double shield block, rofl.
And people that throw around with " educate yourself stuff" are most often slightly retarded, so I guess that counts for you too? Realy your post just shows that you have no idea of this game plz just be quiet.
You are embarrasing yourself. Yes CW is favoured against Patron. "But a video of a single match proves otherwise!" No, it doesn't. With the perfect hand plus Emperor Patron does 50 dmg so what, with the perfect hand eboladin wins you in 5 turns. Oh and i play CW and i have lost against freeze many times even with tons of armor.
Play the game and watch less trolden.
I can't take this dude seriously anymore lol. Freeze mage is the best match up for control warrior. If you lose when having tons of armor, your skill must be a joke. :D
Anyway, I think these pros had taken into account that there could be new archetypes. However, cards in this set are not strong enough to push those into play, for example, control rogue and control/beast hunter. They could still be played but, as lifecoach said, are irrelevant.
Lifecoach said that SHAMAN is going to be TIER 1 because of Tuskarr Totemic! I didn't even know that you can say those words in the same sentence.
Seriouly, I have never seen those 2 guys building a new meta deck. They play netdecks all day long and only the top tier classes. I mean, Lofecoach put CLOCKWORK GIANT in his last tournament shaman deck. Why should I trust those players?
I don't want to say that they're bad at HS, at least Lifecoach deserves a lot of respect for his consistent playstyle. But they're skill is restricted to very few decks. If you really want to watch a pro that is very good at predicting cards, then watch Strifecro. He is the only one who realized that Boom is going to be in every single deck.

I agree that Freeze Mage is the best matchup for CW but there will be a case where ur hand will suck and the opponent has exactly what he needs to win. I think that I've lost one time in the past from a freeze mage in casual though.

Trump really isn't a good player. All he can do is play control where all the answers are given to him. Once that meta phased out back in Nax, he became just a mediocre player. Lifecoach is probably looking at the cards and determining how well they fare against patron and not really much beats patron in TGT.

I understand your point, but I assumed that, by emphasizing on having tons of armor, he would have 15-20+ armor. Losing in that situation is pretty rare. I would say less than 10% chance, that's why losing "many times" would be a joke. I experienced that once when mage had a Pyroblast, 2 Fire ball, an ice bolt, 2 ice lance and Thalnos in turn 10.
as more and more new cards enter our collection, some of the less played legendarys might get to see more play. For example; tradeprince, he is a rather good card if there where ever to be released enough cards for a certain archrtype of rogue such as a controlrogue.
My point being that the game doesnt take a 180 just after a few expansions. Have patience

Trump is a solid legend rank player, nothing more. He is not among the best players and he never invented anything. Lifecoach is a tournament player, pretty successful in it, but he only plays the few tournament decks. He did experiment with new decks in the past, but I would not call him a great deck builder either. I do not expect any of them to properly predict the future, so anything they said you guys should take with caution.
IIRC Lifecoach built "miracle druid" that used to be pretty popular before the start of GvG.
Regardless, i think the new inspire cards are a bit too nerfed on the stats side or have awful stat distribution,
I'm especially sad about Fencing Coach, having 5 or 6 stat points here could have made the whole inspire system so much better. Mind Control Tech and Big Game Hunter both have potentially game turning effects and they have 6 total stat points.

LOL, just half a cookie pls.
The clockwork giant and the whole shaman deck was brilliant. It was designed to beat handlock and nothing else and that was exactly what happened. If you say this was bad you did not understand the tournament format or were too ignorant to even read how the format was. Also in his video he said a lot of things, you cannot take out a sentence and say this is what he meant, because he sometimes articulates in a weird way and changes his opinion in the same sentence relativizing what he just said.
If you really watched his whole video, which i do not recommend if you just want to be entertained, you can learn a whole lot about his basic thinking. This is worth like 100 times more than the actual card rating.
I wouldn't listen to either LC or Trump, for one because I can't stand them for more than 2 minutes a piece, and they just seem to harp on endlessly on simple points. LC was bearable one time. Then he started these long winded post-game breakdown sessions. I mean ... seriously ... we don't need half an hour of you telling us where you went wrong. I think he just loves the sound of his own voice.
I can understand your reservation towards the new expansion. My personal feeling seems to be the same. I dont care whether there will be a change of meta or something, but I would like to play ranked play around rank 10 with new surprising cards and a winrate of 50%. That is why i am searching for new legendaries to implement and test them and here is the point of my disappointment:
I am hardly depressed by the new legendaries/epics.
I am a player who feels really exited about new interesting mechanics like "Hogger". That is why I really fell in love with "The Skeleton Knight" and "Anubarak" but there are not playable at all. Why dont they create a "Skeleton Knight" with "Resurrection" or an "Anubarak" with slightly better stats or less manacosts? There are a lot of cards which could be really interesting but they fail in slightly details. Thats is so sad, because even after buffing them, there are no option for competitive play but they could have been a use in "normal ranked play" instead of being useless.

I actualy think, than anubarak is the most underrated card of the set, he is a great card, that suffers however due to a lack of build around. in a world were rogue could make it to late game like control warrior anubarak would be verry strong.

Clockwork Giant is a pretty mediocre card to counter Handlock. You can just put TBK and Doomhammer in and suddenly you have an 80-90% winrate.
I understood the format, his "tech-choice" was pretty bad anyway.
Yeah, because when you have 2 Hex and 2 BGH, you definitely need more removal that has conditional use instead of your own threats. 95-100% winrate. I like making up stuff too.
Inspire decks basically have to be "combo" decks since all of them are way too weak to be played on curve or played alone. I have seen way better combo decks that anything you can muster with TGT cards.
I started the day by watching some of Lifecoach's TGT review. Essentially, everything is bad except for 2 cards Tuskarr Totemic and Varian Wrynn (possibly Healing Wave as third place.) He then said there are about 11 acceptable cards total. So that means 119 cards are crap.
Then Trump later was saying that the new Inspire mechanic is just too slow as are the relevant cards attached to it as well, saying the meta wouldn't really change. And he crapped on like 7-10 cards that he said were obviously bad and wouldn't see play. They both agreed that Priest got crapped on in general and agreed that it's the worst class and didn't get any TGT help. (I love Priest)
Anyhow, I'm much more less enthused and excited about TGT now. I mean, only a handful of cards good/great out of 132?!
They both were excited about GvG in comparison.
I'm depressed a bit. Can anyone else relate?
Trump also said Dr. Boom was bad and I think everyone in the world knows how wrong he was about that!
