So I'm sure many people have thought of this already: implement a graveyard. Not only would you no longer have to write down/remember what cards you've discarded, but it also allows for a new mechanic, which would be resurrecting dead minions. Or getting back used spells, I suppose. Now I guess this would make the game a little bit more complicated, and with how short games are as is, it might be overkill to also put this in. What are your opinions on this matter?
A bit of a short post I'm afraid, but it came to mind when I thought of how super annoying it is that you can't see what cards you discarded for costs and such, and then the rest just follows naturally. Now that I think of it, it sort of fits with death knights, so that's why I added the for the future, but adding it so that you can see the discards is definitely for sooner and not later.
I think they want to leave more mechanic's for the future so they have "content" to give us.
I doubt that's the reason.
They probably just want to keep things as simple as possible. Although some could argue that not having a graveyard requires better memory thus making the game more "complex", harder.
Graveyards lead to all sorts of balancing issues that Hearthstone currently doesn't have to worry about. We don't need a Magic: the Gathering clone. There is a history of plays visible on the left of the screen. I don't know if it is possible to scroll all the way back to the first play, but that is sufficient for notekeeping purposes.

There isn't a way to scroll back. I would appreciate a graveyard, but it does add another element to the game, an element they may not be ready or want to add.
Fair enough, the resurrection mechanic might not be necessary (although battlecry: summon the most recently destroyed minion would work even without a graveyard), but indeed because you can't scroll back it would really just be there for user friendliness. Your comment does provide an alternative though; make the history go all the way back to the start by scrolling. A bit more clunky than a graveyard in my opinion, but it still works.

Kind regards!

It's definitely a feature I would appreaciate.

I appreciate the idea that you have to keep your deck in mind instead of having a graveyard to refer to.
