It has been i while since i posted my last puzzle, but I'm here now with a new one! Right now I'm playing beta a lot, so I may not create many puzzles anymore. I'm not sure if people will be interested on the puzzles now that the beta is out, but I'll try to make at least one per week. So here is the new puzzle! You are playing as Jaina (mage) against the druid. On his last turn, the opponent thought he had the win, but he miscalculated and you were left with 1 health. Also, on his last turn, the opponent played Millhouse Manastorm, so on your turn all your spells will cost 0! The druid is at 30 health and also has 1 armor, so there's a long way to go before killing him. Can you finish the match on this turn?
Stepping through my solution, along with posting the situation of what is relevant on the board after each step.
Flow: Take down the 4 taunt minions while letting the Mana Addict and Mana Wyrm build up their attack from my spell cards, then move onto Malfurion
Step 1: Cone of Cold Position 4 Lord of the Arena
Situation: Both Lord of the Arena down to 4hp and frozen. Mana Addict 3/3, Mana Wyrm 2/3.
Step 2: Blizzard
Situation: Both Lord of the Arena down to 2hp. Both Ironbarks down to 6hp. All four frozen. Mana Addict 5/3, Mana Wyrm 3/3.
Step 3: Fireball Ironbark.
Situation: Both Lord of the Arena remain on 2hp. Second Ironbark remain at 6hp. All three still Frozen. Mana Addict 7/3, Mana Wyrm 4/3
Step 4: Ice Lance Ironbark.
Situation: Both Lord of the Arena remain at 2hp. Ironbark down to 2hp. All three remain Frozen. Mana Addict 9/3, Mana Wyrm 5/3
Step 5: Frostbolt Ironbark
Situation: Both Lord of the Arena remain at 2hp. Both remain frozen. Mana Addict 11/3, Mana Wyrm 6/3
Step 6: 3/6 Water Elemental Attacks Lord of Arena
Situation: Second Lord of Arena remains at 2hp and remains frozen. Mana Addict 11/3, Mana Wyrm 6/3
Step 7: 2/2 Sorcerer's Apprentice Attacks Lord of Arena
Situation: No taunt minions left. Mana Addict 11/3, Mana Wyrm 6/3
Step 8: Jaina uses Fireblast against Malfurion for 2 mana
Situation: Malfurion remains on 30 health, loses his single point of armour. Addict 11/3, Wyrm 6/3
Step 9: Pyroblast Malfurion
Situation: Malfurion down to 20 health. Mana Addict 13/3, Mana Wyrm 7/3.
Step 10: 13/3 Mana Addict attacks Malfurion.
Situation: Malfurion down to 7hp. Mana Wyrm 7/3
Step 11: Mana Wyrm attacks Malfurion
Situation: Malfurion down to 0hp and Jaina wins the game.
I like roodleitis solution. I am not well versed in the mechanics of mage decks but I think I got it right, even if it ends up a little tighter than his :D
Actually, I missed the armor in my original solution. My quick rework (using Frost Bolt to take out the armor) left hero at 0, not -3 as originally calculated. So we're both good :)
Blizzard (2) all minions => Sorcerer's Aprentice (2) + Ice lance (4) to left Ironbark Protector => Fireball (6) to right Ironbark Protector => Water Elemental (3) into left Lord of the Arena => Frostbolt (3) to right Lord of the Arena => Cone of Cold any of the two minions left => Pyroblast (10) + Mana Addict (13) + Mana Wyrm (7) + hero power (1) to enemy hero

Attack last Ironbark with Apprentice and Elemental (2+1+2+3)
Use Pyroblast on Enemy Hero (21 HP left) Attack Hero with Mana Addict (6 Spells used -> 13 Attack) (8 HP left) Attack Hero with Manawyrm (6 Spells used -> 7 Attack) (1 HP left)
The druid could actually have 3 armor instead of just 1 and it would still be possible.
First off, blizzard obviously, then cone of cold the Frostwolf Warlord. This will leave the enemies taunts with:
6, 5, 2, 3 health.
Fireball the 6 health taunt
Ice lance + hero power the 5 health taunt
Sorcerer's apprentice attacks the 2 health taunt
Frost blast the 3 health taunt (can also use water elemental for this, doesn't matter)
Pyro blast the enemy hero, attack the enemy hero with water elemental, and hit him with the mana addict + mana wyrm for a total of 33 damage (10+3+13+7).
Wahoo! I've been waiting for one of these. I tried the previous ones before and failed miserably at 4 out of 6, and the two I did get took me a long time to figure out (far longer than 90 seconds).
Either because I've been spending so long this last week reading forums, learning tactics and watching streams or because it was an easier one, I managed this pretty fast.
For everyone's enjoyment I put a few thoughts down as I was going through it all with notes:
Blizzard (health remaining left to right ! for taunt minion)
6!, 6!, 2, 3!, 3!, 2 Ice lance first Ironbark, and Apprentice attack to kill it 6!, 2, 3!, 3!, 2 Fireball next Ironbark 2, 3!, 3!, 2 Frostbolt first Lord Arena 2, 3!, 2 Water Elemental attacks second Arena 2, 3!, 2 Cone of Cold only hits minions. Bugger. You died, would you like to try again. Y/N?
