I dont see much skill involved in this game, all you need is some experience and a whole lot of luck. At legendary ranks everybody uses more or less same decks and it all comes down to draw. When you both put pagle on the board, and his draws 100% of time and yours doesn't draw any, there's very little you can do. When he starts innervate - coin - yeti, and you don't have a similar answer most of the time you just lose by default.
Get unlucky mulligan, and opponent gets perfect start with murloc/hunter rush/braindead warrior - lose by default.
Basically my point is, once you got a decent deck and experience how to play it - all you need is luck. The game itself is too simple and very rng based. There's only so much you can do with the limited resources and randomized card draw.
I'd say arena is the most fun part of the game, but it needs to be balanced as well (flamestrike, etc being basic cards), rng element needs to be toned down (all this mad bomber malarkey, arcane missiles, hit random minion, kill random minion, take random minion etc).
Just the fact that people can copy other people decks is a very sad part, since it is so simple to play the game, but doesn't look like anything can be done about that.
The only thing that would be interesting to see is a blitz mode - cards with no animations and like 10-15 seconds per turn, then it would actually take some brain to think and figure out the best move quickly - you would instantly see a lot of people who copied top player decks fall out of legendary.
Just my thoughts (I got the game in november and got legend in seasons 1 and 2). Bought 40 packs and about 7-8 arena entries overall.

It has been proven untrue that people make better decisions under pressure. And rest of your claims apply to every other card game. Also, you claim everyone uses the same deck in legend ranks, only proves you aren't in there. From what I gather, people in lower ranks are more likely to use copied decks.
I don't understand why people are complaining so much about aggro. If all you ever get matched against is aggro play a paladin/warrior/druid midrange deck specifically tweaked to crush aggro and get legendary in a day.
There seems to be an idea in this game, that the best way to change the meta is by whining to blizzard so they nerf the most popular decks, instead of countering them.

I'm so glad there is prejudice against playing hunter/zoo/[insert FotM deck here]. People like that make the life so much easier for those of us who play to win.

Erm, that's exactly the point of blitz mode, to eliminate people who can't think fast. The game is already too simple to have 2 minutes per turn.
And I've been in legend for a long time, if you need a proof just wait for blizzard to release top 100 final rankings of season 2, you ll see my name on there.
I love this game, though I understand why people are crying and raging. It's pretty frustrating sometimes when you loose, not sure why but I can get really mad lol. But then I calm down and it's fun again. :p
There is alot to say about the meta, yes it is better then it was, but I still think there is place for progress . Hearthstone is not the type of game that you realease and you don't touch it for months. This game will need monthly or maybe weekly changes or patches, because there will always be superior decks or play style and this is actually what's fun about this game, you must adapt to the play style and still be consistant. Blizzard is doing a pretty good job at balancing this game and I am looking forward to season 3 and also new cards.

Current meta is boring
aggro, to the face, ignore the board. 90% of the matches is vs aggro.

I love how he stopped posting immediately after you asked. However, I suppose it's a bit difficult to call what he did "posting".
