Does it annoy anyone else when someone refers to any and all minions with taunt as "taunts" or "a taunt"? As in "I'm going to play my taunt this turn" instead of "I'm going to play my Ironfur Grizzly this turn". No one refers to minions with windfury or charge as those keywords. It just seems really imprecise. Anyways just a stupid pet-peeve of mine; I'm probably alone on this. Anyone else have minor pet peeves with the game?
That sounds like something I would say to myself, but I get why if someone is streaming and they say that it might rub some viewers the wrong way. Though, that does let them describe the cards job pretty fast I would think.
Not too sure I have any real pet peeves with the game yet, as a spectator. Comes down to the caster more than the game itself, seems like.
I've caught myself doing it. I try and refer to each card by name (and do 90% of the time) but during play I notice I sometimes refer to their role instead, especially when a situation arises where I say "Hopefully I get a taunt minion next turn." I draw one, and will probably say "Going to play my taunt" or "Playing my taunt minion." Though usually, even when that does happen, I've already established the name of the card I'm playing sometime during the match.
I feel like a lot of people look at taunt minions as cannon fodder in this game and they're just bodies to hide and save your ass. No one really looks at them as a card that's like "Oh I'm going to play my Shieldmasta and win the game!" that's my thoughts on why people just look at their cards as a "taunt" card not an Ironfur Grizzly.
i understand your frustration, but since taunt is such an important ability in hearthstone, and it is the most common method of protection in the game, most people just using the word as if "I need some defense this turn"

I actually heard someone say "I'm gunna play my charge" this turn earlier. It bugs me a little bit too.

I have done this before I don's see a problem as long as you can see the cards.
