It's really a shame how difficult it can be to add people to actually be friends because people have no idea of the other players intentions. Like the add friends option doesn't even have a comment box. I've been declined like 4 out of 5 times requesting friend invite regardless of if I won or loss. So my entire freinds list when I'm on HearthStone usually consists of WoW, D3, StarCraft, and HotS players, and the occasional RL friend that happens to be online.
I've been rage friended a couple times too, pretty annoying.
It's really a shit system that's implemented into this game. Would have been better to let players chat, with the option to squelch the chat or something.
That is such a bad advice... What about all those friendly people you can meet through the chat after some games?. If some random people insulting you in a game affects you so much (people that you can remove with a click of your mouse and never see again for the rest of your life), then there is something wrong with you...

If you are clever enough, you know when someone adds you because of tilt...
For example, if your rag snipes for 1/8 face while you face total loss in a ranked 5+ game, don't expect the guy to "friend" you and say: "Hey, good game, buddy! Let's be friends~!"
You would be surprised to know that many people out there don't rage like mad men after losing because of RNG. Some of them just take this game as a game, nothing else.
The easiest way to add a friend is to add one or more players when you get the spectator quest. Just add them after a game, win or lose, and explain why you added them and ask them if they're cool with it. I've never had anyone say no. I always keep them in my list and usually they keep me too. They even drop in for a spectator quest of their own sometimes. So it's mutually beneficial.
I added like 10 of these , it is just very very amusing to me xD I never bm in game or after myself and having someone go off against me just makes the win even better. I also like to tech unusual cards that make people go off. Getting the complaint ''no on plays that card, your bad blabla'' is so sweet.
Its hard to tech well though.. cant beat face hunter and control warrior and tempo mage and handlock. Still prefer diversity over one deck over and over though.
I usually run some tech cards that most people doesn't play, and most of the time my opponents emote me "Well Played" after I defeat them. Also, sometimes, they add me (or I add them) and we have a nice conversation. Probably you are doing something wrong...

I am not surprised. Also not surprised that there are those who tilt hard. Generally, no surprises whatsoever. Still, if i get a friend request, i am almost always sure if it's to bm. (I've been wrong only once, believe me.) Not surprised if Ramsay Bolton dies. :P
It depends on what deck I'm playing if I accept the post game friend request. I've been running secret pally lately so I've been avoiding accepting them lately xD.
I actually received two cool post game friend requests. One was beating a player in Arena (early on in my hearthstone career) by silencing my own frozen minion and getting lethal in a surprise way or some jazz like that. Turns out he was a legend player and I've got to spectate high level play which was neat/helpful for me.
Recently, was tooling around with dragon priest in the lower ranks and made a pretty good buddy/ He was playing mech druid and has been someone to talk to etc.
I've also had the Salty McSalt friend requests. I sometimes do it if the match was epic or there were a lot of crazy Top Decks, and most of the time people are pretty cool about it.

I've only had someone rage friend me once but it was pretty satisfying. I was playing midrange hunter against a Flamewaker mage. His first Unstable Portal let him drop Sylvanas Windrunner on turn 3 or 4. He started spamming "Sorry". I kept playing, trying to regain board and put pressure on him. His next UP gets him Confessor Paletress and he pops his hero power which nets him Majordomo Executus... I debated going for a concede but more "Sorry" spams ensued and I wasn't gonna give him the satisfaction of me quitting... at this point he has lethal on me his next turn and I'm still a bit off from killing him.
I pop Quick Shot which draws Kill Command and I win with 1 point of dmg to spare! I throw out a "Well Played". He adds me and proceeds to pop off with "F*** you, f****** cancer piece of s***! Lucking f****** top deck you f****t!" I threw out a "Sorry" and got a "F*** YOUR RNG HUNTARD F****T, DIE IN A FIRE!" in response before he unfriended me. I think his real downfall was him being overconfident and making misplays. He coulda killed me a turn sooner if he hadn't made some questionable choices with his spells and spent half the match spamming "Sorry".
Playing arena game, I was 3 and 0. Go up against another mage and he drops Fel Reaver. I have a Fel Reaver in my deck too, but I didn't draw it. He wins the game and says "I'm sorry." I friend request him. I ask him, "Why did you say you're sorry?" He responds:
"It was an easy game and you suck" "LMAO" "Sorry" "Sorry" "Sorry" "Sorry"

Yeah... what a great community this game has.
So, one guy acts like a jerk against you after a random game, and your conclusion is that the entire community is bad because of it? WOW man, you are no better than that guy...

Based on how many people spam emotes to BM people, even streamers doing it intentionally, it's a pretty good conclusion. I've played enough games in my life to know that when people are anonymous, or rather, they don't know the people they're talking to, they say and do really stupid shit. Hell, Heroes of the Storm is so toxic at times they changed the reporting options entirely to include things like Abusive Chat, and they mute players as punishment, so they can't talk to other players. I've friend requested quite a few people after they've said emotes to me when I lose a game, and I always ask them why, and they always respond the same way, "I was just trying to BM you" or, in the above case, something much more callous.
(For those wondering, I've been playing since Beta... I'm actually 28 wins away in Play Mode from 3000 wins ;-D So I'm pretty good at "moving on." I just thought I'd share the flip side of what those emotes really mean coming from a lot of players... hell, I mute most players right from the start, but Blizzard really needs an auto-mute feature.)

OH MY GOD! I hope they will find this bastard and bring him to justice! What detective is on your case? I hope they will catch him! Be strong!

Every goose I've seen so far has white wings, so every goose must have white wings.
Nvm the assholes above. As you see, the community is toxic.
When anyone harasses you on chat, just report. You need to do that by right clicking his/her name in the -battlenet- friendlist. It won't work in-game. But since people unfriend you as soon as they say the bullshit they want, you need to be fast, or smart. Simply open the report dialog box as soon as you accept/he accepts the friend invitation. Afterwards simply copy/paste.

So, with your last sentence you are saying that ALL people, when they are anonymous, acts like jerks... first, it is sad that you think like that, and second, why are you complaining specifically about the Hearthstone community, if it is mostly composed by anonymous people too?
ITT: Feelings hurt. OP do you think you suck? Even if he's right, who cares. I come from the FGC and there's way more dipshits and way worse trash talk than "It was an easy game and you suck." Ever played MVC2? ;p
Obviously it takes lots of skill to play a Fel Reaver on turn 5 and go face. Don't let anybody rain on your parade.

Sometimes, I just have to rage add when the rng was game changing/deciding. Other than that, I just face palm.
