What would happen if e.g. Priest and Paladin shared a "class card"? Both are adepts of the Light, seems logical they could share some skills here and there, even though their fighting style is different. Instead of neutral cards where all classes can get it, only 2 classes can get this "shared card".
For example only Paladin and Priest can use this:
Or they could share Holy Light and probably a few more existing cards that is not game-breaking.
I'm just throwing stuff out, the question is if this could be a thing. Not flooding the game with "shared cards" because then you lose class identity, but maybe 1-2 cards like this for each class?
Interesting concept! Don't know how easy to implement this is, but it sounds like a cool idea to have. Don't think other card games to it either. Good job :)
Other card games like MTG have cards like this. I think the beauty of HS is that it's simple to play and adding complex cards like this would make it more difficult to play.
A while ago, I had a concept to make 'merged' classes. They would be new Heroes with new Hero Powers, but would be able to use two Classes class cards. An example would be like Tyrande, as a mix between like a Priest and a Druid. This would be difficult to implement though as there could be some insane combos and synergies between classes, so there would have to be limitations, I guess.
I can't see any problem with the idea in theory. Obviously you would still only be playing as one class so it wouldn't change the game massively, it would just allow a release that gave more options for each class (because each class card would serve double duty).
Not really good game design as if it can be somehow balanced for two classes, it could probably be balanced for all of them.
Not necessarily. A lot of cards won't work because "it would be unbalanced if used with card x/hero power y" so as long as you deny one or two classes access to that particular card it would be fine.
Naah, Tree of Life for shaman is a bad idea. But good concept, tho. If not for neutral spells, then why not just double-tripple (or whatever number of classes it fits lore-wise) spells?

If you're happy and you know it... well that's good :)

The only cancer in Hearthstone is its community.

I would definitely love this :)
I have seen concept cards around this already and I just think it is an amazing idea!!
