If you guys played MTG, then you'd realize that aggro is a needed archetype, otherwise, games would be incredibly long, exhausting and boring.
Also, EVERY CLASS has access to healing, something unthinkable on MTG and other TCG. There are far more answers against aggro in Hearthstone than in other games. Midrange decks are usually bad on other games for instance...
Finally, the "solutions" posted here make aggro unplayable, so it basically kills the archetype. And there has to be balance, complaining that preparing against aggro makes you weak against control is just stupid. OFC that has to happen, you can't be good against everything. If you wanna be better against control, you become weaker against aggro and vice-versa.
Some of you guys really need to get a little more game theory before complaining like this. And to be a complete player, you should also play as aggro, then you'll see its weaknesses and understand how to play against them. Don't blame luck, cancer or other ridiculous claims. Just get better at the game.

Also, I would expect that an aggro deck would be faring better on the ladder. The best is what, Midrange Zoo, which is maybe ranked 6 or so?
I run 2x abom and 2x sludge belcher, seems to take care of the lower ranks of aggro.. But yeah, we were moving towards mid-range at one point here, but aggro has dragged us back in unfortunately. And yes, auto concede on patron when using abom, you will die.

We ARE moving towards mid-range. Face hunter is now hybrid, zoo is now more like mid-range demon etc.

I've been through the whole ladder the past seasons and I have not seen a single "face hunter" or non-demon zoo in a while.
what other answers do you want?there's antique healbot, belcher, aoe spells and if you get really salty about losing to aggro, you can just play grinder priest and virtually never lose to it again.if you still can't deal with aggro decks with at least 50% consistency,it means you are either bad at the game or need to rework your deck.

Sorry, but I'm calling bullshit. I've been playing all day long, probably closing in on 100 matches for the day, and over half my games have been versus face hunter and zoolock. You either playing in EU, or you're just making stuff up.

I do play in EU, but I can't imagine it's drastically different in the US. Remember hybrid hunter != face hunter and zoo lock != mid-range demon zoo, so don't get them confused. Of course both variants are still fast paced, but they won't ignore your board and go straight for face, unless appropriate.

face hunters and zoo players are all over the ladder on EU as well.at the lower rankings that is.after you get to legend it becomes a lot more diverse.
the reason people turn to aggro decks in those rankings is simply because they are about as effective as control ones, with the added benefit of giving you faster wins, and an easier time of getting to legend.this does not make them OP,and certainly doesn't make them uncounterable.and face hunter is actually the weakest hunter archetype at the moment(i have around 72% vs them since rank3),so if you lose to them a lot,you are bad.get better.
unless you mean rank 17 legend+,yes you are indeed quite bad at this game.but then again if you did have that rank, you wouldn't be complaining about people using face hunter against you anyway.
you want to talk about OP decks?let's talk about that one deck that can do about 50 damage to you from hand,on a clear board and that around 30% of the top 100 legend players are currently using.
If you guys played MTG, then you'd realize that aggro is a needed archetype, otherwise, games would be incredibly long, exhausting and boring.

Where did you see the salt dude?As for ''get better in the game'' it's irrelevant.Miracle rogues said the same, hunters said the same pre uth and undertaker nerf etc.My post wasn't about aggro being op at all anyway. Was about quality answers to them and they dont exist whether you want to admit or not.Let compare haunted creeper 3/4 for 2 mana unless silenced.Where is the defensive counterpart for it?Why there cant be a 2/4 taunt(-1 stat for taunt) for 2 mana? Why the vaule of the defensive minions have stayed to the vanilla levels when the aggro's vaule has skyrocket?
Some of the best decks in the game are already control decks. If you give them even more tools to cripple aggro, then aggro decks become completely unviable.
If you guys played MTG, then you'd realize that aggro is a needed archetype, otherwise, games would be incredibly long, exhausting and boring.

So many aggro white knights on every thread like this who think they know TCG theory because they played MTG.
Healing in hearthstone for every class doesn't mean s**t. If you're behind on board aggro will still kill you. It can save you in some games but more often than not hearthstone is decided on tempo.
No you can't be good against everything, the whole point of OPs thread was that he doesn't think there are enough cards to counter aggro which is 100% true.
I love how aggro players tell everybody else that they just don't understand how to play the game and that they should play aggro to become a 'complete player'. Bitch please, everybody who's played hearthstone more than 10 games has played an aggro deck.
If there were enough options for control decks to counter aggro decks the number of decks decks on ladder would be roughly 50/50.
Do you see an equal number of control decks on ladder?
I run 2x abom and 2x sludge belcher, seems to take care of the lower ranks of aggro.. But yeah, we were moving towards mid-range at one point here, but aggro has dragged us back in unfortunately. And yes, auto concede on patron when using abom, you will die.

There is ABSOLUTELY no way this is true. You've not come across a single Face Hunter this season on ladder?
The reason people turn to aggro decks in those rankings is simply because they are about as effective as control ones, with the added benefit of giving you faster wins, and an easier time of getting to legend.this does not make them OP,and certainly doesn't make them uncounterable.and face hunter is actually the weakest hunter archetype at the moment(i have around 72% vs them since rank3),so if you lose to them a lot,you are bad.get better.
What kind of nonsense is this? Trump looses to them a lot, so he is bad and has to get better? Sure, legend rank 17+ is bad indeed. Get real. You're probably one of those people who said Undertaker was perrrrfectly balanced.
Seeing a player lose to a deck is not a judgement on how good the deck is. This isn't SC. Even bad decks beat you once in a while, and face hunter isn't a bad deck.
OTOH, the pros DON'T rely on face hunter to win in the top ranks. If face hunter truly was the best deck, why is patron warrior, malylock, and midrange hunter consistently used to reach the top ranks on legend? If face wins as much but was faster, there would be no point to doing anything but face. The folks who were stubborn would lose to the ones who took up face decks and, thus, they'd be the top of the heap. We are NOT seeing that. Just as we are NOT seeing face hunter overwhelm tournaments. Instead we're seeing hybrids, or midrange, or hunters with deathlords O.o.
Face hunter is one of the best decks to climb up ranks. It's fast, the format benefits more games over high win %, and newer players and inefficient decks don't have a chance against it. Of course you could use ANY fast deck, but face hunter is also high tier so you get an efficient deck as well.
But it hasn't been #1 since BRM. Actually, I don't think it's EVER been #1 since pre-BRM it was oil rogue and Tempo mage, and deathrattle decks beforehand.
Face decks have always ruled the below-legendary ranks, but have had a hard time breaking to the tippy top. it's usually combo decks that rule the roost with control decks floating around them close behind. Note, though, that about .1% of the population actually see this style of play regularly . The rest of us watch them go up the ranks on face decks so that they ca nget back to playing with themselves.
It's like SC1. THe pros played those long games of back and forth action. The rest whined about ling rushes and all-ins.
Wow, how much stupid can we possibly get in this thread?
I don't mind the OP so much. They were asking for 'more answers against aggro' which I guess is ambiguous enough that they may just have meant they want more different and interesting ways to counter aggro. Their post was at least constructive and not too whiny, so I guess I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one.
As for all the posts that came after it... wow. Do you guys even know the meta? And by the meta I mean the actual meta where the good players play decks that are actually tuned, not "the meta at level 14 where my half-baked dragon deck that I haven't tested that much but is fucking awesome keeps losing because people are playing omgbrokenaggro".
Just go to a site that tracks the actual meta and look what the top decks are right now. I'll take TempoStorm's tier lists as an example, but you will find a similar story elsewhere. Current tier 1 is Grim Patrol Warrior, Malylock, Mid-range Hunter, Control Warrior and Oil Rogue. In other words, three decks that are definitely not aggro, one deck that is aggro only if you don't really know what aggro is and one deck that is aggro-ish (MRH). Where are all the 'broken aggro decks'? Oh yes, that's right, in tiers 2 and 3 where they belong. Because they are not good enough to beat the tier 1 decks consistently.
I can't believe all the crying about Face Hunter and aggro in general on this forum. Just because you can't build a control deck that beats aggro or aren't skillful enough to pilot a net control deck doesn't mean the game needs fixing. It means you need fixing. Man up and learn to play better! Or, alternatively, build an aggro deck yourself, shoot up the rankings to level 7 or 8 or so and then get beaten by players who are actually good at this game.

Hybrid hunter is not face hunter. If I remember correctly, they all rather traded instead of going face right away. Huge amount of freeze traps too. In fact, I think about freeze trap first then test for explosive. This season the first pure face hunter i met was at legend.
