I would say keep it. It's a very useful Legendary. However, if you are a F2P player starting out with very few Legendaries, then perhaps it is justifiable to dust Alexstrasza to craft a more versatile Legendary, but Alexstrasza is an extremely crucial card to several decks, notably Freeze Mage and Control Warrior. If these decks do not entice you in any way, then perhaps you could dust her for something else. The golden animation, while cool, has no practicality other than increased Dust. I, though, would recommend keeping it unless you desperately want other Legendaries.
TL;DR - You could dust it, but I wouldn't advise it.
Alexstraza is huge. There is no parallel to her effect and she can single handedly win games. Don't DE her unless your only plan is to play aggro rush decks for your entire career.
As an added note, if you go for heroics she's a great way to cheat the system on a lot of hard fights.
Keep it for sure. Golden Legendaries are rare and useful ones even more so. When I started playing I dusted a golden TBK to make my Sylvanas and I certainly regret it now. Be patient and keep it. It's worth it in the end.
When I first started my first legendary was a golden Arch Mage Antonidas. Gold cards were quite a luxury for me. To much so. I would dust them to make cards I felt I really needed.
I dusted Antonidas and his beautiful golden fireballs to make a Sylvanas. Now after playing Hearthstone for quite a long time and spending money it might have been nice to keep it.
I would really suggest keeping it. She is a fantastic card. Also in my opinion the best looking gold card in the game. She can heal you up from near death or knock your opponent down to near lethal. God legendaries are extremely rare. I have been lucky to see three of them. I kept my golden Stormrage and also dusted a Harvest 3000 to make a Dr. Boom.
I actually DE'd Alex once just to craft her once again a couple months later... It's the only card I regret DE'ing. It's great for Control Warrior, Freeze Mage, some Handlock decks and dragon themed decks.

Alex is suuuuuper good. If you don't have a non-gold version, keep her 100%.
GLORIOUS PRIEST MASTER RACE
It's a great legendary and some decks will not work at all without her. That isn't the kind of card you dust.
keep the bitch. she's perty when she's golden.

You are not prepared!

Not worth the DE IMO. She is a great legend.
Sounds good, I'll keep her
