Okay so I have all the cards for Freeze Mage except for Doom Sayers. Is it at all possible to play with out them or is it 100 % Necessary. Keep in mind I can craft them if need be
I would say you should get DS it's quite essential to the deck it not only clear enemy board but prevent further development of it. stalling the opponent for a full turn unless he has a weapon or a strong DR to play.
I suppose you could try but it makes the deck far, far worse and much harder to work effectively. It lowers the usefulness of Frost Nova and, to an extent, Blizzard by an extreme amount. If you want to play Freeze Mage in Ranked, you should get the Doomsayers ASAP.
I think you could play a version of Freeze Mage without Doomsayers but it would certainly need tweaked a bit to accommodate the loss of the utility they bring with either forcing hard removal out of your opponent's hand or wiping the board. You would want to look for 4 replacement cards rather than 2 because if you are going to run without Doomsayers you may as well take out the Frost Novas too. Off the top of my head the first place I would look would be to a second Flamestrike and beyond that I would just play around a bit and see what works. All said I think it can work. However, when it's all said and done you will get the best results running the Doomsayer/Frost Nova combo.

Thanks, guys looks like I won't be playing freeze mage for a little while then. I really appreciate the feedback, cheers.
Or you can try out my Hybrid Tempo/Freeze deck. Its top mage deck of the week on HearthPwn. It doesn't require DS

if all the words have their first letters capitalized, it would be so Jaden Smith
but for the record, I think it would be hard because no freeze means no stalling, so you'd be run over by lots of decks
"Your soul shall be mine!" -- "You asked for it!"
Worst. Foreplay. Ever.
It was rhetorical.
