Problem is being punished for building your own board. Each minion you have on board can easily add up to 8 damage for enemy's Frothing combo (axe deathrattle/whirlwinds/ghouls), not even mentioning free multiplication of Patrons (even 3+ atk minions don't help when they add commanding shout).
It almost feels like old Beta Hunter matchup, where UTH used to be 1 mana +1 attack and charge for all beasts. You pretty much have to try and rush him down before turn 8 happens, or he's gonna dump his entire hand and easily do 20+ damage.
Emperor is also a factor. Getting him down on his turn with some of the components in the hand just supercharges the whole mess.
I am betting he will get the nerf bat at some point. There will be future interactions that will make him even worse. My bet will be that he cannot take a card's cost to zero.
I feel almost guilty when I throw down dual whirlwinds for free.
I've come to the conclusion that I will just call it quits until there is some fix. Again this is Casual mode, which is clearly in need of a name change to "Super Duper Ultra Uber Competitive Mode" You can disagree with me and that's fine, but in my opinion anyone who plays decks like Grim Patron Warrior or Face Hunter, decks made to ladder, in Casual mode is a douchebag. Take that nonsense to ladder and play there.
So until Blizzard fixes this game, whether we're talking about decks like Grim Patron Warrior or Face Hunter, or Casual mode by making it a fun place for new players to learn, not another cent from myself nor will I play or purchase any Activision or Blizzard games.
And just as a side note I did a rough check and it's around $2,500 on Hearthstone alone.
Try staying at Rank 20 and you might love hearthstone again. It's real casual here.
That being said, if the Frothing-Warsong interaction was nerfed in some way I'd be happy.
Minions should lose charge the moment their atk goes above 3.
This seems to be the general consensus, if they did that then there would be atleast 1 turn to react and it wouldnt be drop commander and zerker then spam whirlwind till 30 dmg.
Let me clarify, empty board from the ENEMIES side. Typically the player being killed has some minions to and those minions getting hit is what leads to the ridiculous amount of damage from via Frothing.
I agree with MarineKing, my only problem with that deck was that fact that Frothing Berserker can go up to some insane ass number like 14-16 damage and just plow you in the face, even though it's way beyond it's 3 damage point. I think Blizzard just needs to take a look at how certain actions are ordered for certain cards, for example;
Death's Bite used on a Creeper. My thoughts were that you'd hit the creeper, it'd spawn it's spiders first, then the whirlwind effect goes off. Yeah, it's the opposite actually, but oh well. If they would just give a more definitive guide as to the order of which certain card effects are taken instead of this trial and error b.s. they got going on, it'd be a lot better.

You are right, Frothing should lose charge if it goes over 3dmg period. As for deathrattles, they do happen in the order of which card was played first, this has always been. If the Death's Bite was played first then the rattle will active before the creeper's deathrattle activates, the 1/1's live. If the creeper was played first then it's deathrattle will happen and the 1/1's will die.
I'm not even for changing particular cards per say, but the "over 3 attack can't charge" argument I agree with. I'd like to see a system that has boxes in your settings for each class. If you are playing Casual Mode you can check whatever of the boxes you wish, leaving 1 box open of course, and you don't match against the classes you have checked. Problem solved. It doesn't effect ladder at all and it eliminates decks you don't want to constantly match up against. As I said before, you don't want to face countless Face Hunters - check the box for Hunter and you won't face any Hunters, again in Casual mode. Give players options. The more a business gives to it's consumers the better the business will do. Milton Friedman said it best. This feature doesn't hurt Blizzard, it doesn't hurt any of the players and it won't effect their profits in a negative way.

When people come to you and say everything is relative, they are not trying to liberate you, they are trying to enslave you and they are damned close to succeeding
I actually hate playing against GP Warrior, but there is a bright side - I have a f2p account where I just completed Naxxramas wings, BRM is just ahead. There I play casual, cause my decks are far from being competitive. And sometimes when I play as warrior, the opponents just auto concede, thinking I'm playing that patron bullshit.
Right, let's go back to only one warrior deck, hrm...It's not like alextrasa for 15 damage then grommash for 12 damage was a common occurrence, naaaaah. I appreciate Patron Warrior for being the only deck in the meta that doesn't rely on Dr. boom.
I played Control warrior yesterday, was sitting well over 40 hitpoints with armor and some Patron warrior played 2 Frothings and a Patron with charge, he would have oneshotted any class except the control warrior, he did over 30 damage. I think those combo's are a bit over the top, it's like the old OTK warrior in a way.
I still won after playing Brawl and execute though *grin*
Was playing grim patron today (it's the only Warrior deck that I can afford) and was having a great time. Between the massive amount of ticks for my Armorsmith, Acoylote of Pain and Frothing, I was able to survive the opponents 7 creature UtH, hero power, 3 dmg weapon, and kill command, with one health, then proceed to kill them.
Isnt it great when the opponent just plays onto the strengths of your deck, by, you know, playing carefully minions o,O
Seriously though, even playing as patron feels so overpowered versus some classes. Between your Armorsmith, who can give you over 28 armor each (7 minionsx4 pings +minions attacking), your frothing which can grow from 2dmg into an astounding 44 damage, and still retain charge (7 minionsx3 pings + minions charging), plus patron, who can take board control away from you, while filling up their own side for 8 or 9 mana. Plus for all you who say these numbers could never happen, plenty of times I've gotten 20+ armor from both Armorsmiths being played... Casually(?). Plenty of times I've got 20+ dmg frothing, plus clearing sludge beltchers or senjins through a combo of weapons/whirlwind effects. Finally, I've had games where I've summoned 7-8 charged patrons kicking asses and taking names via reinforcements patrons.
And to all you nay-sayers out there, and to all the people who say this is a rare occurrence, that draw is the issue, we'll let me tell you, it's possible to cycle through half your deck easily. I was playing against a priest today, where my Warsong Commander was my second last card, and garrosh was my final card. I know this because I cycled through about 8 cards with battle rage, 4 cards with Acoylote, and two from gnomish. I was hitting fatigue when the priest still had a 4-5 card hand, and 16 cards left in his deck, when I had three in hand, and 2 in my deck.
Between the mana reduction cost from Thuarissian, the insane card draw (really, it feels like miracle rogue), the incredibly dangerous OTK, the ability to steal the board, and having the ability to "heal" in a single turn no class can match (once again 10+ armor at a time), Grim Patrons definitely overpowered.
I'd have to say the 2 most dangerous cards in the deck would be Warsong Commander and Battle Rage. Warsong enables all these crazy OTKs, and board fills. Warsong enables this whole deck. Think about how useless generating 6 other patrons would be if they didn't have charge? Think about how badly of a lightning rod Frothing Beserker is without charge?
Secondly, battle rage can draw you anywhere from 0 (cycle) - 7 (8-1=7) cards for only two mana! If we look at Arcane Intelligence as the basis of card draw spells, then at 1 damaged minion+ hero, Battle Rage has the same value, for a lower cost. At 2 injured characters it's not too bad, but at 3 or 4 your getting card draw at .5 value per draw. (Sidenote, your minions will be damaged, but you just refilled your hand, who cares?!)
Otherwise change frothing Beserker to only gain dmg from friendly characters, which would reduce his lethality quite a bit, and still let the opponent play minions .
I'm not saying that the archetype has to be removed, hell I've never played warrior before patron warrior, but this deck does need some of the explosive qualities in the deck reduced. Whether it's the "heal", card draw, the OTK monsters, or the 'I'm getting rid of your board, filling up mine, and I'll stiilll hit you in the face" aspects of the deck, something needs to be toned down.

"Or of course, because you are 'a strong, independent deck builder, who needs no blizzard to tell them what to include', you make your deck deliberately weaker." - Skaduush1
Congratulations, you've just outlined the major problem with patron warrior. It makes Frothing Beserker broken with Warsong. The deck would be garbage if Warsong cut off the charge limit at the attack it is given on the card. Then it would actually be about the Patrons, not getting charge slammed up the butthole with a million frothing berserker damage.
Let me clarify, empty board from the ENEMIES side. Typically the player being killed has some minions to and those minions getting hit is what leads to the ridiculous amount of damage from via Frothing.
It's the same with buzzard + UtH where you would get punished for having too many minions on the board. Buzzard was nerfed because of this, but PW is still unchanged. I'm nog saying ít needs a nerf, but it does not feel right that you can't play any minions at a certain point in the game, knowing that you are only giving extra damage to your opponents berserker to finish you off with..
Er, everyone does that. and it only applies to minions with attack less than three in this case. I mean, who plays another four health minion into flame-strike on turn six? Notice how, much like patron is now, buzzard UtH was nerfed to an 8 mana combo?

Need to be removed from this game

Lol play handlock and you can see how pathetic the deck really is.

There once was a man from Nantucket...
An OTK on an empty board can only come from a PERFECT hand.
Assuming a Thaurissian drop on all mana costs, the patron warrior could drop:
Warsong for 2, 2x Frothing for 2, Patron for 4, 2x free whirlwinds.
Thats 31 damage, but it requires 10 mana, 6 cards, AND all of those cards had to be in hand when Thaurissian was played.
Can't imagine that happens very much. Whenever I play a Patron deck I usually have to play parts of that combo to deal with my opponent's board.
Let me clarify, empty board from the ENEMIES side. Typically the player being killed has some minions to and those minions getting hit is what leads to the ridiculous amount of damage from via Frothing.

Because, "over 3 attack lose charge" will just kill the deck. Why don't u all say that "Grim Patron Warrior" should be ban?

I've won about 75% of my games against Grim Patron warriors so they aren't particular problematic. But the gameplay is fairly monotonous.
