I had match with a Hunter recently. I was playing a Tempo mage deck with Flamewakers and some good removal spells.
There were some good plays on both sides. I unstable portaled an Earthen Ring Farseer, used it to heal up and later ran it into his ice trap to use for later healing. I was lucky to get some of my removals early because the minions were coming.
I thought the match went well. It wasn't a slaughter. Afterwards I got a friend invite. The player was very toxic. He spewed out this filth and then quickly defriended me. Now I would like to get to the point and if you're already going to say, "what did you expect" or "don't accept friend invites" please don't bother. That shouldn't be what this game is about. I have sent friend invites after matches I have lost to congratulate, talk about plays, and deck builds. The idea that in game communication between players should be hindered because of toxic players is just ridiculous. I really can't buy that argument.
I also could blow it off as just another toxic player but I don't like the idea of a kid reading that. I feel people that act like this should be held accountable. If this player was in a public setting I am sure he most likely wouldn't do this. And if he did he wouldn't be asked to play anymore.
I looked up ways to report the player and couldn't find any. The battle.net account only gave me options for other games. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
I've actually found that there isn't anything you can do, the truth is that they want to get you angry. So just turn it into something that will make you laugh . I can agree that I wouldn't want kids to get raged on but it is the internet and you will find toxicity everywhere on the internet. One company that has made a system that stops kids from reading it is nintendo. I'd rather hearthstone didn't have a system of communication like many of nintendo's games.
There are of course ways to report the player (once they're on your friends list, you can report them from BNET's out of game friends list with a right click), but that ignores the main issue. The person sending the rage is usually in severe pain, and holding them accountable to that won't make them repair their behaviors or any of the damage done, it'll just create more damage. Sometimes, there's no pain involved, and they're just trying to cause pain, but those instances are fewer and farther between then the example shown above.
There is no simple way to report them (yet ?) within Hearthstone.
You can eventually use the battle.net app to signal bad behavior (you should have a bubble on the freidlist icon and double-clicking a name should so the last messages), but it doesn't work on mobile devices (no battle.net app) and I am not sure it works if they remove you from their friendlist .
The one and only remaining solution with HS is to make a screenshot like you did and send it to blizzard. If I am right, the mail address is on the sticky posts of the official support forum. It's sad to have such an outadted report mechanism, , but it's the only real one.
Some people have nothing better to do with their time than insult others and whine. I try to be a very positive person, whether online or in real life. Just ignore the negativity and choose to smile. :)
I also could blow it off as just another toxic player but I don't like the idea of a kid reading that.
You've already made a grave mistake by complaining about it publicly, which just makes people want to do it more. If he saw you came here to cry about that message, that would make his week.
But fear not, there's a solution: Grow up. That also solves many other issues in life.
just ignore them they are just salty, I just laugh on those people after they insult me getting that mad over a game? heh.. used to lose to noobs here and there.. specially as I play league I got the tenacity to lose to them I just learn and improve. players who think their decks and playstyle is perfect and that they always have to win are just pathetic I accept eery friend invite and try to argue with them who knwos maybe I saved another person who might get offended by this kind of salty people?

Ah, the traditional "blame the victim" attitude of the internet adolescent.
I think a simple Right Click + Report should be added. From there two options, one for reporting name (not policed very well, I let my son play occasionally and it irks me when I see his playing Fukboi69 or BurninJ3ws) and another for verbal harassment.
I actually ran into that problem once. I played a weird secret heavy hunter deck that I just decided to try out. I won a match and someone added me to the friends-list. I thought that someone wanted to ask about the deck because it was an interesting deck but instead that person just complained that I used an aggro-face-hunter(Which I didn't use because it was a weird secret heavy non-aggro deck) and ofc before I had a change to say anything they just removed me. Ofc I found it REALLY amusing that someone goes trough the trouble of adding me to their friends-list because they lost a 3-4 minute match to complain about me using an aggro-deck(Which I didn't use) and then removing me.

Well I don't think there's nothing wrong with complaining about it publicly but I do agree that they shouldn't make too big of a deal out of it. But advising people to "grow up" for complaining about it? Dude.. seriously?

He's not a victim. And you're 15. So yah.
Such nonsense. You're a typical manifestation of the typical internet attitude that no form of offensive behaviour is as bad as voicing your objection to that offensive behaviour.
We get threads like this every other day. And I always say ... don't add anyone after you've whooped their ass. You just know what you're going to get. I see no point in adding randoms anyway. Only add people you know, at least know from other games or on these forums. Pretty sure there's a thread right on here where you can add other members
Misbehaving in an online game is what's normal nowadays. Some people get blinded and think they can just say/type anything harsh/rude/..... cause they're behind a screen.
Would they behave like that IRL? Most of the time, NO
Just dont accept friends invites, sad it has to be that way...
Why not enjoy their saltiness?? I find it a pity they defriend you so quickly after their rant, as I'd have loved to troll them a bit more :) In general, I have good experiences from requests after games...
This might sound odd to you but there are a lot of people who don't have any interest in getting enjoyment out of making other people angry.

This guy plays hunter and complains. Doesn't make sense to me.

In my experience, I have only been added so somebody could yell at me cuz he lost a game in like 1 out of my couple thousand games.
And if it was after a match you win, just drop the 'u mad bruh?'

2333, like these chats between cancer v.s. cancer. (although i never add opponent who doesn't play a classic control deck).

They are? Can you point me to an article that promulgates that the 'rest of the world' is laughing at US citizens?
