I just realized that I have more than enough dust to craft the entire Handlock deck. However, I've heard many people say that Handlock isn't very strong now because of decks like Oil Rogue, Face Hunter, etc. I still think that Handlock is great against Patron Warrior, though.
Any thoughts? Would you recommend crafting it, or would you recommend a different deck instead? What do you think are the best variations of Handlock right now?
Oil Rogue can beat handlock, but it can be difficult to deal with all the giants if they come too fast. Basically, if handlock draws ideally then the handlock will win but if they miss their turn 4 giant or twilight drake I think the rogue is favoured.
For the OP... Handlock is a powerful Control deck.
It's my main deck and I love the many possibilities (could be read as win conditions) of this deck. It's still has major weaknesses in term of matchups... but it has the most ''decent'' range of even matchups amongst all decks you'll see. It's a deck that'll fade in and out of the meta but that'll never fall out of flavor and simply improve with time since better cards will be added/teched in.
I love it. It's strong.

Handlock is favored against Oil Rogue in my opinion. It's a pretty fun deck to play, a lot of decision making each round since you have many cards on hand. Face Hunters is a real pain though, so when I want to throw out the computer I play CW instead.
Face Hunter is not that much of a ''pain''. Yeah, the matchup is the worst for Handlock. But that's a small liability for having that wide range of good matchups.

tbh I have no idea how would Oil Rogue beat handlock. I think Handlock is definetely one of the strongest decks out there atm.
As an oil rogue myself i hardy ever lost to handlock, i still would have prefer'd not to face a handlock though as if the deck draws well it's almost impossible to stop.

Hardly ever lost. That's a good statistic to show up... hardly ever lost. What if you played one game of this matchup and won ?
I got some stats for you...
Handlock vs Oil Rogue for me, last 3 months : 31 games, 27 wins. I've seen 4 BGH in those games.
Oil Rogue requires board presence in order to pressure the opponent and close the game. They doesn't play any minion below 3-mana (besides the Ha-Ha) and they often to be outpressured by the infamous turn 4 of the Handlock. And then... they need to waste a lot of ressource in order to survive. That's why Oil Rogue can't win steadily agaisnt Handlock. They doesn't have a deck manage to deal with unfair cards. The deck is designed to get an advantage out of early board control. Handlock doesn't play anything in the early game. They, on the other hand, take easy board control against a Rogue.
Of course, a rogue can win against Handlock with a good tempo thanks to Loatheb / Sap.
If you have dusts, go for it. Handlock is very strong if you're above rank 5 or so. As you climb higher, you face less Face/Hybrid Hunter and more Patron Warrior.

A wild Remhouse appears!
Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out

OK, I'll try crafting Handlock and I'll see how it goes.

Why would I not be in this kind of place.

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.

Try this, it's an updated handlock thats better vs aggro
Handlock will always be fairly strong, regardless of where the meta goes. Right now is as fine a time as any to run Handlock.
