Valeera doesn't have in game appearance, but she is quite important in some of the books - that, granted, I didn't read - and plays an important part in the whole Guardians of Tirisfal thing with Me'dan - which granted, is worth large quantities of bovine anal matter - all the while Sen'Jin was never much more than an island-troll leader who died after 1 game in WCIII to a bunch of murlocs.
I really don't see how he could be labelled "baddest of the badasses" alongside Thrall, Jaina, Gul'Dan, and so on... Zul'Jin could. But I don't see any class fitting him.

Well again, you could argue the same for Valeera or even Rexxar honestly. Rexxar is fairly obscure compared to the other heroes. Sen'jin has a lasting impact on Troll lore and he's referenced to this day. His son is the leader of the Trolls (and also a Priest HS card!), there's a village named after him. Really he was one of the founders of the Horde, the reasons the Trolls are part of it at least. Is that not reason enough to make him a hero in HS?

Lilian Voss for rogue, didn't notice anyone mentioning her.
I believe she will be the new rogue class hero instead of the more obvious Garona, just like Magni turned out to be the warrior hero instead of Varian.
Alexandros Mograine, the original Ashbringer for Paladin. I hope it will be him...He needs recognition.
Or maybe his son, Renault Mograine, as a leader of Scarlet Crusade? Since Scarlet Purifier is a paladin class card, Scarlet Crusaders can be considered as a sort of paladins.
On the one hand, I have no idea about wow lore, on the other hand I still give my opinion, when I find something I like:
So what about Yrel and Lei Shen? Yrel has a cool design, would she fit as a paladin? Lei Shen is the god king of thunder, back from the dead, also with an awesome design. What do you guys think about them?
Yrel is a Paladin. She could fit but I think they'll go for opposite faction versions.
Lei Shen is cool but he doesn't strictly fit with any particular class. The Heroes all tend to be mortals and not the hugely powerful demigods.

I think most will be, but I'm betting that Warlock will be Cho'gall now, rather than having to use some super minor Alliance warlock. Also Garona seems likely to be the new Rogue hero, but it's arguable whether she's more affiliated with the Horde or Alliance. She was originally part of the Old Horde, and in WoD is part of the Iron Horde. But she was also the lover of Medivh, friends with Khadgar and advisor to King Llane Wyrnn.

Makes sense. The WoW universe is huge.... but when it comes to notable heroes it's extremely small.
This is really one of the major downsides with the alternative heroes, they block potential legendaries from happening in the future. Part of the reason why I really don't want Kael'thas as the mage hero, even if he would make the most sense when it comes to maximizing sales.
Or even better, I would like that they completely throw the hero = no legendary thing out of the window. Not that they ever established such a rule, but it seems like that.
I'm pretty sure that priest will be Tyrande (and i hope, probably i will buy it ) and for hunter i think probably a Windrunner and for mage Kael'Thas For the rest, not much sure x3

but i thought the point of these was a horde and alliance for each class.

See the quote I linked a few posts up. They won't necessarily be all faction inverted. That said, I think most of them will be. But it does raise the chance of Tyrande being the Priest hero, even though I'd like to see Sen'jin to add some racial diversity.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm now pretty sure hunter will be Nathanos Blghtcaller and priestTyrande.
Blightcaller doesn't fit the broad flavour of Hunters. He's a dark ranger, nothing to do with beasts or the wilds. It's one thing to have a couple cards that don't quite fit with the new hero. It's quite another to have a new hero who fits with pretty much none of their class's minions. It'll be Vereesa or Shandris.

I do wish they also release a simple alternate portrait of all the current Heroes. Like an alternate animated portrait for Thrall, since I honestly think no other Warcraft character can replace Thrall as the quintessential representative for Shaman.

i want Taoshi as rogue so badly! I would donate immediatly!
I love Taoshi. I'd love to see her as a Rogue legendary some day.

Druid - Hamuul Runetotem
Mage - Archmage Rommath (would say Kael'thas, but I'd prefer he were a card)
Priest - Zabra Hexx
Shaman - Nobundo
Warlock - Medivh?
Hunter - Shandris Feathermoon
Paladin - Lady Liadrin
Rogue - Maiev Shadowsong

Fair point, but i wouldn't mind if they made both shamans horde and both paladins aliance fe.
I did consider horde/aliance theme in my picks to an extend but in this case it just felt like a better choise.

Would characters appearing as heroes lock them out of having cards made after them?
And those lines said by two voices, amazing!
Here are my predictions, going by new heroes being from the opposite faction, and covering unrepresented races:
Mage: KaelThas (High possibility, and a little phoenix would be a perfect animation for hero power), Grand Magister Rommath, Aethas Sunreaver
Shaman: Far seer Nobundo (obvious choice), but maybe someone unexpected like Akama, who is an interesting character, covers Draenai
Warlock: tough choice, Cho'Gall would be very interesting to have:)
Rogue: Lilian Voss (covers Forsaken), Garona Halforcen (99% one of the two)
Paladin: Lady Liadrin (99%), Sunwalker Dezco
Priest: toughest choice, Vol'jin was going to be a perfect pick, now most likely Sen'jin
Hunter: No idea
Druid: Hamuul Runetotem (obvious choice and covers Tauren)
Warrior: Magni
According to Zeriyah the heroes will not all be faction inverted: https://twitter.com/CM_Zeriyah/status/606502790555299842
