Well it definitely explains the decision to buff Warrior through the roof seeing how that is the first skin available.
Heh, I'm quite conspiratorially minded and I doubt this is much more than pure coincidence.
This is probably coincidence, yeah.
But I always wondered why they picked Jaina, Garrosh & Valeera as main heroes. Two are extremely disliked for various reasons and the third is basically a nobody. Also interesting to note that Kael'thas was originally planned to be the Mage hero (I fully expect him to be the cash option).
-People keep asking for more rewards for ranking/playing(if this is right is another topic personally my reward for playing is having fun I rather take new cards over that any day). -The dragon tribe of BRM fails horrible. -It's time to at least announce the next content for HS. -A toon of improvements could be done to the game(even being really conservative,I'm not talking about 2v2 or a new Class)interface, balance, deck slots, etc.
Blizzard came up with this... This is the old Blizzard that made me quit of all of their other games.I honestly gave up on Blizzard after Diablo 3,but HS was able to bring me back to at least 1 of their games, looks like that Blizzard never left.
The price of the portraits is theme on their own(really overpriced, people are going to pay for them anyway)but to me the worst is that they show no sight of listing and appreciate their clients.
Whats going to be the incentive to create more content/cards if you can get like 3 time what you charge for an adventure from a 9 Heroes bundle?
I think that they should release a $50 bundle for all skins, while keeping individual prices the same. This way people have the option to buy individual skins but, if they want 2+, they'll probably fork over the extra 30 bucks for all 9. It would also go a long way towards reducing all the negative comments being made over the current price.
What it comes down to, to summarize this thread, is: "I'm too poor for these skins, i cannot afford them", but ofc rewritten in a more hidden way. Cuz let's face it, if you had unlimited funds you'd buy the skins.
You crazy. If I had unlimited funds, I'd buy a Lambo instead. To hell with HS. :P
Pretty terrible that the portrait is animated, that should be reserved for gold portraits just like the cards. I'm 100 wins away from gold on warrior and this kinda takes away a bit of the excitement knowing that I can just spend some pocket change to have an animated portrait. Though animated Garrosh is better looking imo, animated should still be reserved for golden anything.

When you get golden Garrosh, apparently you will also get the golden $9.99 Whatsisname.

Thats not the point, I want an animated portrait. 500 wins should be far greater than $10, not equal. Magni should not be animated if you don't have the 500 wins.

Meh, if I'm going to pay $10 for cosmetics, it had better dang well be animated.
Well, this is the kind of content I like to see paid for in F2P games. IE: Cosmetics. The things that have no bearing on the actual game whatsoever but allow those that are willing to pay for that extra bit of flare to do so. So long as I can continue to play every aspect of the game and collect every card without having to spend cash, then I'm of the opinion the more cosmetic transactions they add, the better.
I'm not above paying for a cosmetic or two either for a game I enjoy. I've dropped over 50 bucks on League of Legends, back when I played it religiously, on skins because I enjoyed the game enough to do so and had the disposable income to spare. Now while I disagree with Blizzard's pricing point on these hearthstone hero portraits and have no intention of paying 10 dollars for one, I'll possibly reconsider if Blizzard decides to have a holiday sale or perhaps a discounted bundle price.
Until I see the patch notes saying, "New Deathknight class available for 14.99" or similar, then I'm going to be okay with these types of transactions. So if they want to offer cool cosmetics like new heroes, card backs, game boards, emotes, animations, voice overs or art at a cost, power to them. I'm all for it. The moment they force me to spend money on things like cards, hero powers, or game modes without a F2P option, that's when I start to have a problem and that's when they lose me as a player.
With BRM and the new hero skins (overlypriced at $10), it seems Blizzard has shifted more to making profits, and that the early stages of Heartstone have been about baiting players in. What do you think of this?

I think you are blatantly wrong. Were this some sort of progression paywall I would agree, but it is simply cosmetic and thus the worth is up to the buyer. So If you do pay for it then it was worth it for you, if you don' then it isn't.
Everything necessary to play the game can be obtained for free. I personally have only bought the adventures (because I can't be bothered spending time collecting the gold. Time > Money IMO) but I probably won't be buying these unless some bundle comes along or something. I don't need them, nor do I particularly want them. If you do want them, pay for them. Simple.
I also don't understand the point you're making about BRM - you can buy it with gold. Do you mean the pre-order cardback?

I think that, if you consider BRM to be milking us of profits, this isn't a change. After all, Naxx was the same price, and released just a month or two after HS released.
Personally, I think this "milking your money" is exaggerated. Blizzard didn't lose much development time, considering it's a small, 2-second GIF with a smaller animation and 6 emotes. There is nothing lost for people who don't buy it, so there's no reason to complain.

The "buff" warriors received was probably just unforeseen consequence of how much impact Grim Patron would have with the bugfixed Warsong Commander.

The first wing of BRM was released two months ago, mate. Give it some time.
This reeks of horse armor...if it was available for in game gold I would consider but no thank you on the real money purchase.

I said announce not release , considering that it's at least 40-60 days if they plan to give us more content on late july.

Skins in Heroes of the Storm are also $10, not really surprising. They want to turn a profit, if you don't think it's worth it then don't buy one.

When were you ever fooled into thinking blizzard, wasn't just doing this for the profit?
