The big question is, is the new hero just going to be purely cosmetic (e.g. Portrait and Emotes are different, everything else stays the same) or will the new hero come with a different hero power which will fundamentally change how classes are played.
Either way, I'm assuming they will still have access to all the same class cards, but I think it'd be cool for new heroes to have new hero powers that increase deck diversity by encouraging different style decks.
Does anyone recognise the writing? Is it just jibberish?
I'm having a stab at deciphering it. A lot of the letters are roman, and the general word structure looks like it might just be a cipher of some sort. I doubt they've made it too hard to crack, if it actually says anything at all...

I had the same thought, but I'm having trouble identifying which letters are the same/different...one misstep and I'm afraid i'm going to be going nowhere.
I never played WoW, so I was unfamiliar with Muradin. Was anyone else (that is unfamiliar with Muradin?) worried that it was some sort of Murloc/Paladin Hybrid?
So, apparently Blizzard is going to (or at least, pretending it is) add new Heroes for us to play, but not new classes.
Everything they made on that announcement is showing us something like Muradin being an alternative Warrior hero.
How we're going to obtain that I don't know, but there are quite a few interesting ideas
Anyone has any idea what are the other possible "new class heroes"?
Probably Tyrande as a Priest? :D
Realistically, Tyrande would work as a Hunter hero as well. Apart from that, these are the ones I can immediately think of.
Shaman: Falstad Wildhammer
Paladin: Vindicator Maraad
Rogue: Garona Halforcen
Mage: Ronin or possibly Kael'thas
What would also be really cool is if some of the class cards changed in appearance when the hero is changed. For example, if using Falstad as the shaman hero, Doomhammer would transform into Skybeak, but would still be a 2/8 weapon with Windfury.
There does seem to be lot of educated guesswork as to new hero skins/portraits/characters. It will probably be alternate heroes to your existing pool so Muradin replaces Garrosh etc. - I'm not really into WoW so not sure how the lore/expansions have come into being so cannot give any other examples.
I think Blizzard are a lot more savvy than most people here give them credit for. Each expansion to date has been an update to the existing pool of cards and there will come a point where power creep eventually becomes too big to hold back. That suggests to me the alternate hero skins/characters idea to give newer players a chance to catch up with their collections and existing/older players to get a facelift.
Even if it's a purely cosmetic change then that's fine by me, but I would love to see a new hero introduced. Won't happen yet but I think probably around this time next year when we are another expansion and solo adventure in.

WOAH!! I was discussing with some friends in skype and we thought about EXACTLY THE SAME HEROES you just mentioned.
Also Wilfred Fizzlebang as a Warlock, maybe Lady Liandra as Paladin too and Vereesa Windrunner as Hunter.
Aside from hero skins this could be a way to release new cards as well. They could add new basic cards for each class that are obtained from leveling the new portrait. I would love new portraits though since I feel there isn't much incentive to play a class on ranked once you have the golden portrait.

its would be amazing if you think about it.
priest with a different hero power. or other classes. this would change the meta completly
I'd say its an 85% chance of just being new portraits, but I would welcome new hero powers.

I dont think its going to have different spells, just cosmetics

I hope it will be more, but it will almost definitely only be a cosmetic feature. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if it's only for purchase.
OH!!! OH!!! OH!!! OH!!! OH!!! OH!!! OH!!! OH!!!

From this we can quite safely assume that there would be new hero powers as well, because this one interacts with demons in lore by summoning them.

what you just said makes no sense at all.

My guesses

Rogue: Garona HalforcenWarrior: Muradin Bronzebeard
Mage: Kael'Thas Sunstrider
Paladin: Yrel
Shaman: Nobundo
Hunter: One of Sylvanas' Sisters
Priest: Tyrande
And for Warlock/Druid I have no idea. :/

I hope the new portraits are a reward to arena players. Arena peeps need love too....
