Druid has fallen out of the meta before and didn't see extensive play for long stretches, I would argue that the two most recent sets have added little to the class.
Druid may never have been the class with the most players, but they did NEVEr fall out of the meta. The Combo druid deck has been around since beta , and has always seen a steady amount of play. That is because it was, and will probably always be viable.
In generell the reason why druid has always been around is because there is nothing a good Innervate couldn´t fix.
Play against Aggro hunter? Innervate out a keeper in turn 2 to kill the juggler, claim board presence and have a good guy to trade into those chargers.
Play gainst Control? Innervate shade of naxxramas turn one, then kill them in turn 9 with it.
And so on.
Does that make druid overpowered? No.
Does that make druid feel unfair, because that single card always increases your winrate if you have it early(not to mention that the mulligan also always revolves around it, regardless of any class and deck)?
Yes
I can says the same thing about specific class cards for almost any class, Demonzoo hitting early Flame Imp tempo, Warrior drawing Fiery War Axe in opening hand, I can go on but you should see my point. Every card that is designed to be played early and you draw it early...well you're increasing you're odds of winning.
Perhaps yours and my definition of falling out of meta are two separate things, right before GvG to early post GvG druid largely fell out in my estimation, I had my lowest numbers of games against them and the only times I saw them post was that silly Mill attempt and an occasional ramp. Both were like spotting unicorns for me.
It doesn't seem you really want to have a discussion about this, you just want to keep saying its druid, its druid, its druid. That's fine but don't title the thread as though you want to have a discussion.
Before Naxx with just the base set I'd say Warlock, since the cards were much weaker and having the best hero power meant more.
After Naxx I'd say Hunter since it got to leverage the most OP cards the best (Undertaker, Mad Scientist, Freezing Trap. Savannah Highmane).
Now there are better neutral options that allow all of the classes to keep up with Hunter's extreme value and I think Druid is the most unfair (Thaurissan is insane).
I'd still accept an argument and agree with any of those three classes, though.
Druid isnt overpowered guys...you have to realize to get that combo they you to have 2 savage roars in their hand for the 22+ combo. in 100 games i was able to win with the combo 5 times. if you get 2 force of natures in there and no savage roars it doesnt help you too much. no class is overpowered. paladin is very strong. warlock and hunter are solid. shaman is very weak.
I think it's Paladin. They are the only class that can clear every enemy minion on the board (save for divine shield) without killing their own (Equality + Consecration). Any other combo/spell either has a limit, or get's rid of all minions period. In constructed, most decks have 2 or maybe 4 cards out of 30 that can AOE what's left on the Paladin's board. Having said that, I don't think Paladin is unbalanced as a whole.
For those who are saying that a priest stealing cards from you is unfair, I would say to keep in mind how much RNG goes into that. Yes, sometimes you get a couple legendaries, and end up playing doctor boom 3 times in a game. Other times you get weapon boosting cards or shield smash, and it just clogs up your hand.
I don´t think you get what i was saying. There is a big difference between flame imps fiery war axe and Innervate.A Flame imp for example sucks against facehunter, a fiery war axe doesn´t help much, if your enemy doesn´t toss out many minions, or if you can´t target them(shade). But being able to play a card earlier than you normaly could, is usefull in every given scenario. This is proof of the druids biggest strength, it´s flexability , as by innervating his allready included cards, he can counter certain decks without putting extra tech cards in.
And Innervate sucks as a topdeck and is negative card advantage these can happen in every match not just certain matchups, please see its weaknesses.
You seem kinda agressiv, you know that?
Re-reading my post I can see how it was taken that way and for that I apologize.
Yes druid is flexible and I completely agree with you on that, but Warlocks ability to not have to tech in card draw at all, thats not unfair? Warrior more or less getting a 3/30 charge minion that dies after 2 attacks for 2 mana, that's not unfair? Do these have counters yes, absolutely, but so does Innervate depending on how it's used there is a counter, its not set in stone and I can't give you hard examples outside of getting an early BGH or TBK target, classes with cheap removal (Hex, Sap, Freezing Trap, Execute) counter Innervate minion plays nicely. As to spells its the same for everybody right Loatheb or bust.

Yeah, if you are playing a noob. Serious? Priest is the most irritating and unfair class in the game. Hands down.
I play Paladin mostly (due to me getting the majority of his class cards before any other) but I use every character because, I agree, they are mostly balanced and each have their own unique strengths/weaknesses that can completely make a match one sided depending on the opposing deck, situation, and a fair amount of luck with the draw you receive (explaining why aggro decks are massively popular such as Face and Zoo, minimizes the luck when within the first few turns you are capable of playing every card in your deck essentially), but that is a large reason I enjoy the game so much.....anyone can win at any given time. Yes it requires strategy, utilizing each turn to it's maximum value, and planning ahead....but the degree of luck also required is what makes it possible for a person playing for 3 weeks have the ability to beat someone playing since Beta. You just never know.
On to the OP, I do believe there is one class that is severely irritating and above the rest, that would be Priest. The fact that my cards are subject to him getting his hands on at any given time, drives me insane. Sure, you may get the occasional garbage cards, but my deck is full of very useful cards. Outside of you getting a Chow I can turn into some health....you are getting a few damn good cards to use at my own expense. The fact that Priest can add a limitless amount of health to his minions with a card draw bonus from more than one card, also sucks. Oh, you have increased the health of that early drop 1 attack minion that posed no threat to me and, oh there it is, inner fire. My favorite, dealing with a 12/12 minion before i get to turn 7 is exactly what I had hoped for. Oh he's not done yet, there is also the synergy between Priests favorite little 2 turn dwarf with a shrink gun followed up by that Cabal witch to take my Sylv and use it against me to gain another minion I have, and lastly, every player playing a priest favorite turn, 10. Where 9 out of 10 times you have a mind control waiting for that legendary you dropped to close it out.
I think the Priest is the Hero of choice for players who can not make a deck, they need to borrow yours too. Oh and how could I forget, on top of all that, there are the Powerword cards anytime you drop a worthwhile minion to fight back completely gone, just like that. Basically, to sum it up, you used my own deck to beat me, bcz you can't figure out how to make your own? HATE PRIESTS lol. I have lost some of the most unbelievable matches against there punks, where I was so shocked that I wanted to launch my computer. Most classes are pretty equal, Priest is just at the very least, super obnoxious to play against.
For people saying Paladin, are delusional. Paladin is probably the most balanced class in Hearthstone.
Obviously the most unfair is Warlock and Hunter. Hunter's hero power makes aggro hunter almost a steam roll. And Warlocks hero power always generates a card advantage.

Thanks for the insight. Those are all valid points, but the reason I think priest is ok from an unfair standpoint is that they struggle with finding a mix in their decks and how they feel like handling the games they play. For instance, their spells are ridiculously effective, but their minions are completely synergistic and reliant upon another which means that, when played independantly, they lose a sizeable margin of their power. This puts priest in a position where he is hard pressed to pressure the opponent and is very reliant on reactive plays. Surely there are ways to tailor the deck that can avoid this circumstance, but in my experience tuning a priest deck is rather difficult.

For me, it's a bit humorous to see somebody say "Priest is the most irritating and unfair class in the game. Hands down." for one simple reason. Priest is only in competition with Shaman for the worst class in hearthstone. Is it unplayable? no. But look at the number of priest decks entering and winning tournaments. It PALES in comparison to other decks.
Having said that, if you play a lot of Paladin, priests might seem strong. I think Paladin is a much better match up for priest than against other classes much of the time.
Now, your point about it being irritating, that's your preference, and I can respect that. It's quite annoying to play Ysera on turn 9 just to have it stolen on turn 10, but that's life. It's like when join a match to find that I'm playing against a control warrior, and my decks is built for handling aggro/mid range decks... Very irritating...

Definitely Shaman. The totems and RNG spells are waaaay too OP.

Warlock, simply because it's the most efficient class. Their Hero Power and cards like Voidcaller are just too strong.
Why else does nearly every tournament have an insane amount of Warlock?
