So to my dismay when I was new I dusted a lot of good cards. I MEAN A LOT. Now I am kicking myself and trying to get those same cards back and it is taking a looong time. Cards I regret dusting? Grommash Hellscream, Baron Geddon, and a ton of good warrior cards. WHY OH WHY..
Anyway post your dusting fails here.. let us wallow in regret united lol
Out of curiosity do you regret dusting the goldens because you did not get normal versions of the cards afterwards or do you regret it because in retrospect you like playing fancy bling decks?
It's in my nature to strive for the best, so yeah, I regret dusting most of them because they were golden (implying they're rare) but since I was (and still am) a f2p guy I had to d/e them for the dust that I had to get for the actual cards, for Grommash and Mukla it's a diffferent story, I've got Grommash during the closed beta and (don't judge me for this) I've d/ed him for 4 rares because I wasn't playing Warrior at that time and meh.. about Mukla, I've got him 3 times, d/ed him every time, the first time it was special though, used to Innervate it on turn 1 and had some fun moments, but yet again, I've needed the dust and went for it. Right now I regret that I've d/ed some of them, but if you want to achieve something, you've got to make a sacrifice, and here's my price, those goldens that (I think) are pretty cool and widely used in certain decks that (ironically) I'm playing/looking to play (e.g. freeze mage)
My only dusting regrets are when I first started playing during beta I dusted all my excess extras not knowing that during that time, plenty of changes were happening to cards and dusting altered cards resulted in full refunds.
I've since adjusted my dusting practices. Right now all vanilla card extras are fair game, even though future changes could occur. As for GvG I'm not dusting any cards for a good long while because I'm not convinced there won't be any changes to them. On the contrary, I fully believe that there will be some minor balance changes within a few months, so I'm holding on to all of them until then. However, the moment any change(s) occur, I intend to dust all my extra GvG together. I'm patient enough for one round of changes to maximize dust gain but nothing beyond that.
As for specific dusting regrets, I have none. I have buyers remorse from crafting a handful of cards that I never use, such as crafting Edwin VanCleef when I barely play rogue yet still need legendary cards like Archmage Antonidas but dusting regrets? Other than not capitalizing on full refunds when I could have, I have none.
I DE 2 FON.. Now thinking aboit crafting them back...
Also thought alot about what cards i should craft for gvg and troggzor and sneed seemed best at the time... Now they just lay and gather dust on themselves...
at that point of time, i wanted to play Hobgoblin so bad, and didn't use any card, that sync with recom... now i wanna play him so much and have no copy of him left >_>
and i didn't know that the golden versions targets are golden too Q_Q
I dusted golden Deathwing. I later got regular Deathwing, and dusting at the time was good since I got some legendaries I need for decks I was building...but still. Wish I had him back now. I will never dust a golden legendary again!
Glad I'm not the only one to have dusted Tirion Fordring. It was a few months before gvg and I thought I would never play Paladin or Shaman. Then gvg came out and Muster for Battle and Shielded Minibot were such good cards and I realised how wrong I had been about Paladin. I recrafted Tyrion not long after that and play Pally quite often now. I was wrong about Shaman too and now it is in my top 3 favourite classes, and I crafted both class legendaries. Fortunately, the only big shaman card card I dusted was an Earth Elemental and I still don't regret that.
The one card I do regret crafting is Mal'Ganis. I was hyped for demon decks after gvg and crafted him with my first bunch of excess dust after some pack openings. Since then, he has seemed very underwhelming. I think he is trash to be honest, unless you have a bunch of imps out or are super winning already. The worst part is I have opened him twice since.
I dusted my first two Legendaries when I started in open beta: Grommash Hellscream and Captain Greenskin because I thought I'd never play any weapon class. Started playing Warrior half a year later, crafted Grommash just to get another copy shortly afterwards. Never got another Captain Greenskin so crafted him recently to get the Pirate reward card. Summing up: Never disenchant Legendaries.
I've had The Beast since last July. I don't think I've ever put him in a deck, I'm just so scared that some meta somewhere will include him and I can't bring myself to dust him because I don't want these regrets.
Luckily, the only legendary regret dusting is Onyxia, and that's only because she MAY be a great card in say, dragon paladin. The epics though... I dusted ~3 shield slams, a brawl and a gorehowl. Guess what class I want to play badly now? That's right, Control F'n Warrior! I've also dusted 2x Ancient of War and I am playing druid, but the combo/ramp doesn't really use him so that's not that bad. Still, I'm kind of pissed.
Ok , this will be one of the baddest ones =) It doesn't involve dusting legendary . It involves dusting all class cards apart from Priest ( yeah , in my foolish mind i thought i`ll play one class only ) Almost a year later still haven`t catched up . Still spend gold on classic packs and crafting the needed ones . i dunno how much dust was wasted , but must be a lot
Dusted all my "Aggro" warrior cards Frothing Berserker, taskmaster, bouncing blades, cause I thought that Aggro warrior will never be viable. When BRM came out I wanted to kill myself

SOOO many here.. Grommash Hellscream, golden Ancient of War, golden Ancient Watcher, golden Siphon Soul, golden Brawl, golden Frothing Berserker, golden Ice Block.. so many regrets around the goldens.. around the legendaries not really, maybe just King Mukla because I've had 3 and mill decks weren't a thing back then

Goldens are cool but man they are worth some juicy dust that is tempting..

I have dusted my fair share of Legendaries that I ended up regreting and then having to craft them later.
Prophet Velen I shouldve known this card would be viable again.
Vol'jin Who would DE such an awesome legendary? me...
Grommash Hellscream Never thought i would play warrior
Deathwing twice...
Malygos viable card once again.
Toshley
$2700+ spend on the "Free" Hearthstone game... How do I explain this to the wife?
I didn't like pally and still don't. My butt still hurts.

Dusted Alexstrasza to make a Murloc Warleader. At least the Murloc deck was fun for awhile until I realized I needed to craft Alex again.
Dusted all my "Aggro" warrior cards Frothing Berserker, taskmaster, bouncing blades, cause I thought that Aggro warrior will never be viable. When BRM came out I wanted to kill myself
