At the conclusion of a season, all players are reset but receive bonus stars based upon last season's achieved rank. Now, as we ascend back up the ladder, one must deal with the vast population of lower level players. While a lot of these players remain low because of widely inconsistent "cheese" decks, it's always disappointing to lose win streaks when these decks result in lucky mulligans and draws.
Bloodlust Shaman: well i run a control shaman, but i do run Bloodlust cause it typically results in OTK. and i just did 40 damage in one turn to a warrior!!!
Just getting worried that Hearthstone may move into Yu-gi-oh territory with massive amounts of autopilot decks.
Just get past rank 15, although I guess OTK Shaman still shows up there sometimes. Anyway, I think both Mill Rogue and Freeze Mage are far from autopilot. Certainly not anything like Face Hunter.
If they are inconsistent they are not a problem because one winstreak doesn't matter at all. If they have a bad win rate, they will die out. Sure it's annoying to lose but you could just as well lose against a consistent deck.
A deck that is considered widely as autopilot (at least on low ranks) is facehunter. Is that cheesy? Face hunter is incredible consistent, getting a 55%+ win rate against pretty much everything because hunter. Is it cheese if your game plan is hitting face?
Freeze mage can surely be cheesy but hardly gimmicky since it's consistent but it's not auto pilot but one of the harder decks to play.
Hobgoblin and Murlocs are classic cheesy decks in the sense that they are gimmicky but hardly autopilot.
So either you complain about cheese and gimmick or about autopilot decks. Make your mind up mate.
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. - T. E. Lawrence

Cheese usually results in autopiloting -- look at face hunter lol
The decks you listed are not "autopilot" for Sure. But that's not the point: They are cheesy, they won't be top decks (except maybe for freeze, but too many hunters right now), at least let people play some fun decks instead of the same copy-cut top tier decks. You will have plenty of time to face them in top ranks, don't strip other people of some fun just 'cause you "need" to mantain your win streak :)
My point being, I will not be surprised if each class eventually has a deck that can result in drawing all game and saving specific cards to lay down a 2 turn kill late game. Emp Tas will certainly influence this.
What you're talking about is people actually trying new things with the introduction of new cards. It's the only time this game is interesting. Don't worry, within a month or so it'll be nothing but mechmage and face hunter again.
I didn't lose a game until I got to 12 and then face hunter happened. That's really the only cheese deck that you can lose to. The ones you mentioned aren't hard to counter at all even with a shut draw
It might be boring for you, but not for them. I personally dont find it boring against them because at least i dont face the same shit again. r u salty because you dont win consistently against them unlike against hunter/ mechmage? get a grip. there's more variety now and it's better that way.
frankly, i dont think you know what autopilot / cheesy means.
This is why MTG has formats. Because when you introduce more cards, so rises the potential of OTK combos, that the game becomes full of them. In MTG Legacy format you can OTK someone on turn 1 with the right mulligan.
Of course Blizzard has the advantage of a digital card game, with cards being altered on the fly. But given their reluctance to alter already-released cards, these tactics will only become more prevalent as more sets release. Not necessarily a bad thing, it's fun discovering new combos, coming up with counters. Blizzard has the ability to keep them in check, so the meta doesn't get too out of control. And you always have the Arena format if Constructed gets boring/annoying.

What I've experienced this season:
Mill Rogue: using Gang Up on Coldlight Oracle.
Freeze Mage: Resulted in Alexstrazia to Frostbolt, Ice Lance, Ice Lance, Fireball.
??? Shaman: Crap deck with finisher of Magylos, Crackle, Crackle, Lava Burst.
Druid: Ramp to OTK with Savage Roar with Force of Nature, but always classically OP.
Bloodlust Shaman: well i run a control shaman, but i do run Bloodlust cause it typically results in OTK. and i just did 40 damage in one turn to a warrior!!!

Have a great deck that's really, really cheap? Help the new players out
Wait... what are you complaining about again?

Freeze mage is not cheesy...try playing it
I think hes complaining that not every deck he faces is a net deck?

I have, its too easy, and I found it very boring because of this, and the fatigue style of play. ZZZzzz

Their netdecks, the ones I've posted I have remembered what they are since I've played against them multiple times... =(
Nah, makes it boring. Some of the games get dragged out so long too. I like it when the match can be well rounded for both parties.
What you're talking about is people actually trying new things with the introduction of new cards. It's the only time this game is interesting. Don't worry, within a month or so it'll be nothing but mechmage and face hunter again.

If you're playing freeze mage with the goal to fatigue your opponent then you're doing it wrong lol
What exactly is a cheese deck?

Oh yes, it's always fun to win the board control game the whole match, yet still lose to this...but hey, it's Hearthstone.
Calls combo decks "auto pilot decks", doesn't mention face hunter.
Shows how much you know OP. Stay salty.
Nice QQ post, L2P.
