definetly facehunter. Since all my decks are anti-aggro none of the two really annoy me THAT much, but still, knowing how to play you always win against a mech mage, but even if you are the best player in the world and plays perfectly you can STILL lose to facehunter. that's why
It demonstrates the core problem with Hearthstone right now which is extremely efficient early game that causes the player that draws worse to play catchup from the beginning of the game. It is a massive problem with Hearthstone right now and BRM does nothing to address it.
Face Hunter is counterable in a tournament format by a lot of things. MechMage is entirely about how good their hand is vs. how bad yours is. There's no game being played.
Flash back to a year and a half ago when things like Novice Engineer were considered good and competitively viable and you'll see a version of Hearthstone where most games weren't decided in the first few turns like they are today. Naxx and GvG buffed early game way way too much.
Face Hunter. Not because of its power level, but because of its design.
Mech Mage is similar to traditional aggro decks such as zoo, using efficient early game minions to control the board until you think you have what it takes to kill your opponent and yolo all to the face.
Face Hunter: Zero board control. Zero thinking. Two decision to make: Face, or Face?
If you could get rid of one from the meta right now which would it be and why? ideally it would be both, but you cant win 'em all can you?
This :)
I could do without control pali. I've actually lost my voice from raging so hard.
In which universe Control paladin inflict rage? Why?
I bring life and pffffffffffffff!
Just make Mechwarper a 3 or maybe even 4-cost.
Fuck Dr. Boom.

To all of you complaining about priest: You should be ashamed, priest is the weakest class in the actual meta, and the easiest to counter
Who cares if it is weak or strong? It is by far the most annoying class.
Face hunter.
MechMage.

"I am Sorry"
$2700+ spend on the "Free" Hearthstone game... How do I explain this to the wife?
Neither, I have no desire to remove fast decks from the game and only leave slow control decks.

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.
Not that many people play mech mage anymore because it's not that great a deck.
Also I like the face hunter matchup so neither.
Can i remove Control Zzzzzzarrior instead?
