So i've decided to try to get to legend again this season, hovering at rank 2 right now. So what deck do u think i should use that would help me climb the fastest?
There's a lot of decks you ca nuse to get to legend, but as far as "get to legend FAST" then you want fast aggro faceness. You want (anti) Scumbag hunter.
Play Warrior if you don't see a lot of Paladins and do see a lot of Hunters and Rogues.
Play Paladin if you don't see a lot of Rogues and do see a lot of Hunters and Warriors.
Play Oil Rogue if you don't see a lot of Warrior and do see a lot of Paladins and Priests.
I think anything else is wrong right now because you don't have auto-win matchups. Hunter and Druid are fine, but you aren't getting byes 30% of the time like you are with the above 3 decks and have to play a lot of 50/50 matchups. Hunter is actually disadvantaged against all 3, and substantially disadvantaged against 2 of them.

In regards to paladin, are you talking about paladin over a midrange hunter? I find I still struggle against Facehunter unless I get a great start and also healbot by turn 5-7.
I find Paladin favored against both versions of Hunter. Midrange is obviously better because Aldor-ing a Highmane is basically gg, but against Face Hunter Paladin has so much resilient early board control (Minibot, Muster for Battle, Zombie Chow) that no Hunter minions get in more than 1 charging attack, so the Hunter runs out of steam and dies before you do. If you draw a Belcher or Antique Healbot it will lock it up, but even without those Unleash is usually just a catch-up mechanism.
Also, don't use your hero power mid- and late-game if you don't need it to speed up your clock. No need to give them an extra hound.

I find that even with my board presence, it's still tough. Turns 2-6/7 are simply me dealing with their board/charge minions, so even though I can easily deal with it, I'm doing nothing to their face while getting put down to 10-14 damage and put on a clock. I recently tech'd Kezan in since everyone follows Reynad and is playing mage and that has helped with this match-up though.
I think Oil Rogue is the best deck currently. I played from Rank 5 to Legend and lost 2 games. Problem is that it Is the Most complex Deck to play. Warrior Is the only really Bad mu, which Is still winnable. I went 3-0 against Warrior during my climb. only 2 losses were against druids who were really good at this game. They had all their Ramp into Perfect curve while my hand was utter crap.

Judging by my experiences on the ladder and what I see on streams, 90% of games are Hunter, Mech Mage or Oil Rogue.
This combination means that pretty much every other class and archetype is hard countered. Paladin is not in a good spot at all, yes it's fine against Hunter but it's mediocre against Mech Mage without the perfect draw and Rogue is basically an auto-loss, so it's just not worth it. Blah blah you can get to legend with it, and you can cross the sahara on a bike if you want but there are 3 air conditioned state of the art 4x4s and two of them are self-driving so if you want to climb the ladder, currently you might as well just play them.
Oil Rogue is very much broken when it comes to Paladin, it has an answer to literally anything, and not only can it answer your board but it can do so whilst hitting your face hard and all for little mana. It's not a fair deck but at least it's not Face Hunter.
when you are good at this game you can make Legend with every class. if you'er not, well then either forget Legend or grind hard with Mechmage, Facehunter or Druid.
Pally vs Rogue is about 30/70, if you want to play Pally and face it a lot, well then turn your brain on. Add Spectral Knights, play Loatheb and Troggzor and play double Healbot. Cut shit like Harrison. Weapon destruction is not nearly as good against Rogue as it seems to be. It is just an Azure Drake that draws 1-2 cards, very rarely it destroys a fully charged weapon.
Against Rogue you lose with Pally, because you never had momentum. You never lose because that pesky 1/2 dagger or Dagger with a Deadly Poison wasn't sent to the museum.

And then enjoy 30/70 against Hunter after making these changes.
Also the major differentiator between people achieving and not achieving legend is more than likely just the time they invest in the game, you only need a 50.1% win rate to reach legend and it's been shown that most pros have win rates pretty much ln par with the rest of us, the difference is they play for 8 hours a day.
The frustration comes from people who play 1-10 games per day and expect their skill to reflect how many of those games they win, but in numbers like this it's going to be RNG. People, like me currently, who play on a handful of games per day need to just accept that winning or losing is going to be determined primarily by the order in which you and your opponent draws their cards, and you just have to try and enjoy the game despite this.
it's not like eg. StarCraft 2 where it doesn't matter if you play 1 game or 1000, the outcome of each one is pretty much entirely skill based. Hearthstone is the polar opposite.

Continue to make excuses for why you aren't good enough. I don't want that to sound mean, but even playing 10 games a day can get you to legend with a pretty low win-rate. People need to stop blaming RNG and luck for the success of others and really evaluate their own game play.
Yeah agree, getting to Legend is easy if you are good at this game. I have a bunch of people on my friendlist, who can masturbate and chill while they play for Legend.
Hard part is only playing for Top 100, but before that it is really easy if you are good at this game. Luckily there is always an excuse for bad players, you are just not lucky, so you don't have to blame yourself. That is why card games are so popular. Skill matters a lot, but bad players always have the perfect excuse. They are just always unlucky, thats why they are stuck at Rank 5, 10 whatever.
In Chess there is no excuse, you are just worse than other players. In card games, you can say: well they are not better , just tell yourself that they are luckier and don't have a life. That is really wonderful if you think about it. Card games are the only games, where stupid people can ignore their stupidity and have easy excuses to ignore the truth.
Of course it has RNG, but you still benefit a lot from being more skilled at this game. Otherwise the same people wouldn't always hit Top 100 or hit Legend by playing a little bit.
Poker is actually an easier game with more RNG, but no one can deny the fact that a Poker Pro has an edge over casuals.
But yeah that is the right way. Just tell yourself that people are luckier, they are not smarter than you. They are just luckier at this luck game ;) Kolento is not a better player, he just has no life plays 24/7 and is lucky every season.
You do realize pretty much every top pro admits that this is the least skilled game you can pretty much play right? lmao...
I'm pretty sure most pros don't claim this is the least skilled game out there. As with all card games though, there are other factors that come into play. That being said, there are far too many people that make excuses in this game simply because they can.

Probably full aggro hunter.
Pretty much this.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
Maybe the case if u were rank 8 but since ur already rank 2 id go with the deck u play the best.
The meta is so diverse right now, there honestly isn't a bad class.
This being said face hunter popularity has risen around the 2-4 rank for sure so at least pick a deck that can break even with that.
December rank 74 legend :)
would play the deck whoich you played a lot. In higher ranks to have mastered a deck is very important.
Oil Rogue is the best deck there is if played properly.
Play Warrior if you don't see a lot of Paladins and do see a lot of Hunters and Rogues.
