MOAR DECKSLOTS OR RIOT.
Seriously, how on earth am I supposed to test all the new cool deck ideas I have from TGT? Another 9 slots should be so easy to add, it just boggles the mind.
Basic decks are there for the new players who need to learn the game with simple cards first. Obviously, the technology is there already for more than 9 deckslots. Blizzard is just thinking about the best way to implement it (a.k.a. how much they can charge and make the maximum profit).
Let's be real. Anyone who is expecting to get more deckslots for free will be sorely disappointed. If Blizzard doesn't mind charging $10.00 USD for a picture and some voice commands, then they definitely don't mind charging for more deckslots.
Now I'm just super curious how they intend to make deckslots better than just a "long list of deck slots" which sounds freakin' awesome to me. Will they have a drilldown into each hero/class with different decks for that class? Not really sure that is any cooler.

The solution is quite easy:
- if you have 1-9 decks layout stays the same
- if you have more than 9 decks and more than 2 decks of the same class then after clicking that class you expand to the deck list of the specific class keeping the current layout (it would limit the amount to the 9 decks for each hero, but it would still be a vast improvement); in this scenario if you had exactly one deck for a class there wouldn't be a need to expand the list - you would just select the one you have created.
It bugs me what holds blizzard to implement something like that, because the coding effort is marginal... same with the amount of data kept on their servers.
I guess that's my point though.. we can brainstorm 4 different ways to quickly and easily add more than 9 deckslots. As you say, click on hero, open up 9 deckslots for that hero. Boom, 81 decks. So what is taking them so long?!
I like the idea of unlockable deck slots. But indeed 9 is NOT enough for me. I use a lot of decks, I don't use the Deck Tracker because I'm a roleplayer, and I also coach some friends of mine and I like to have their decks on my decklist. I want deckslots more than I want new cards, and I LOVE new cards.
I have 7 different Rogue Decks, 1 slot for whatever adventure deck (used to be for Tequila Warrior), and 1 slot for whatever class for dailies. I can handle having only 9 slots, but I can see many people needing much more than 9.
At Blizzcon they said that they are still working on it and they also mentioned that they think that it would be wrong to put a price tag on it. It sounded like it would be released between this and the next expansion but they weren't clear about that. If you want to see the discussion: I don't have a link at hand but it was the discussion about Tavern Brawls/QA, you can surely find it on youtube.

Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?
I am not sure if I can recall it perfectly but I think they didn't say anything about the amount. They just talked about how difficult it is to change the interface and that that is the main issue why it takes some time and why they were reluctant to do it at all in the past. I think it was one of the last questions in the Q/A part.

So I've been thinking that if they are going to add more deckslots than it may be useful to implement an organization system. Instead of the 9 deck slots when you go to play, have a class system. Click on the class then it would display the decks you have made of that class. To a max of 5 in each class.

i had exactly the same idea today haha I don't know what Blizzard is going to do but tons of possibilities are cool.
I'm seriously wondering what Blizzard's solution is going to look like. I'm hoping it will be a good one. The constant asking from the community probably puts a lot of pressure on them.
I was thinking more along the lines of now showing the deck list on the class screen and instead just show the 9 classes. Then once you select a class the deck list appears on the right hand side (as it is now) allowing you to create up to 9 decks per class. Maybe even have the class details and what strengths and weaknesses the class has versus other classes.
But yes, I like the idea a lot. In fact, it could make the game simpler for new players, not harder. Maybe have, what, 6 deck slots per class? 5? Not 9, I'm sure, so that's the point: it would be easier to remember which deck is which than it is now, cuz you'd only have a handful for each class, and yet the total deck slots would be much, much larger. I love it.

Just Print Screen your decks and use them when you want to. I'm sure they'll eventually add more slots but it's nothing to go crazy about right now.
That's exactly what I'm doing. The point is, it is such an easy and small update to do, that I don't understand why it hasn't been done yet.
Hello.
Memory Slots, is very simple!
