This is kinda annoying, I've countless times lost connection to battlenet without actually loosing my internett, and even tho I'm back in the game in less than a minute I still loose the game. This is irritating since I only playing ranked. I feel like we atleast should get a chance of coming back in the game. And they already have the "rope system"so if you DC they will win the game in less than 5minutes anyways, so I don't see why we don't get the chance to come back into the game.
I agree with this. I've lost some games in the arena do to DC that were Going to be wins if only I didn't DC. It's rather frustrating to lose wen you pay to play in the arena.
I think if a player gets disconnected and makes it back into the game in let's say 5min or less then the game should continue. But if you can't make it back in then it's a loss. I would rather have some sort of chance at least to get back into the game before it being counted as a loss. With something like a 5 min rule I think it would stop people from purposely disconnecting because it would be a loss for them. it would prob make people concede then if they were thinking of trying to DC and get away with because they couldn't with a timer system. IDK maybe I'm crazy for thinking this. Makes sense in my head lol
If you're that douche in the first place, they can just go afk and the exact same thing happens.. they just sit there waiting for their turn to end.
No, the same thing doesn't happen. If they go AFK then after the first timer runs out, the next timer starts when their next turn starts, giving them 15 seconds per turn (unless they actually do something). Furthermore, they will lose the game.
Your suggestion would mean that if someone was about to lose, they could just Alt-F4 and avoid the loss - which would then happen all the time.
I do agree that allowing a 2 min reconnection time would be good, though.

That's not what I ment at all, I was saying if you DC'd you should get a chance to come back, but if you don't come back you should ofc. loose. that's pretty much self explainatory.
Sorry if that confused for of you.
What I ment is that you should have a chance of coming back, if you don't you should loose.
Agreed with all the counterpoints. Blizzard is already working on the ability to reconnect after a DC. For now, however, making it so that you don't autolose if the match ends from a DC is too abusable.
As it stands right now, it is absurd. Today I lost 4 games due to DC, in the arena. That is 4 games I paid for. Now I understand that this is a beta, so that if I want my money to be spent safely I should just wait for the release of the game. But something has to be done. Also, it's not that my internet connection is bad, not at all. I don't ever* disconnect from wow, and I have no trouble when doing anything else internet related. It's only with hearthstone.
And like the others have said, just let the game continue while you DC. Your timer will run out, and you'll lose a turn. Frustrating, yes. Instant defeat, no. Or, like others have said, give people 1 reconnect per game, with a ~2 minute timeframe.

Happened to me as well today, had a win streak in ranked, was leading the game pretty much and would have won in a round or two, yet I got DC'd reconnected within 30seconds, lost a star and the win streak, things like that are pretty frustrating.
I have to agree with Reginar and Emphe. My interwebz is totally fine, yet I lose every third or fourth match due to disconnects, and I do not have this problem with other games.
Yeah I think you've got issues with stability that isnt Blizzards fault somewhere.

Nozdormu wins you every game where you opponent has to go to the bathroom on turn 9.
I will add my voice to this too. There should be a brief window to reestablish connection. If someone decided to disconnect it will not avoid the lose with the timer on each turn. If someone does do that I think it is grounds to report them for sportsmanship, which could result in whatever action Blizzard chooses. Repeat offenders can be dealt with however, but a chance not to take a loss on an inadvertent DC should be stock when this goes live.
Very poor choice of words for the title. People might get the wrong idea that DC's shouldn't mean a loss, ever.
I wouldn't like waiting even longer for people who dc. There's enough "griefing" with people afking when they're losing, and the game/timer not taking into account that (they usually can't do anything else, and the game still let them stay there for 2 minutes afking?). It would be horrible if people could reconnect multiple times during a match and make you waste so much time.
I'd be ok with letting people reconnect in their "turn time limit", but not a second more after it.
Except the first few guys to reply to the thread in the first place (tunctunc and hawkeye), among some others who alluded to the idea. Solid reading skills, friend. And even if nobody did, it wouldn't change the fact that the title is ambiguous.
I think they should give you 90 seconds. Anything more and it's just going to draw out what is generally a very fast game. I guess they could implement a 5 minute timer and that timer doesn't reset upon reconnecting (I think Starcraft does this) to prevent multiple disconnects.

I think 5 minutes is too long, but I'd support 2 minutes of leniency twice a game, or 3 minutes once per game.

I agree. but I don't think there is a way to tell between a legitimate DC and a fake one.
I also changed loose to lose in the title to avoid anyone drifting off topic.
The developers agree guys, no point debating something they promised to fix already.
