savjz, dog, kolento, sjow are the only hearthstone streams i watch now. if you haven't watched dog stream you really should. he is a legit player and his chat isn't poison ....yet.
I love watching StrifeCro, the guy knows a lot about the game and obviously has a lot to pass to the viewers, he talks the why of every single play he does and overall is pretty nice to watch. I believe amaz is a decent player but I dont really like watching his streams.
I dont like watching kolento because I dont feel like he has much to tell, other than the standard (altho I do peak in sometimes, to check for a possible different meta list).
Other streamers... I dont think theyre good enough, I guess.
Oh yeah, Hotform is a new streamer I like watching a lot, and so is Dog.
Definitely agree about Strifecro, he seems fairly reserved, but he has a nice dry sense of humour and excellent knowledge of the game. He seems to enjoy experimenting quite a bit (only small tweaks to decks usually, but still they make a difference for the viewer).
Kolento doesn't seem to say much to the viewers or educate them, but his consistent strong play is quite something. They are both fairly similar players in terms of what they bring to the table, although I think that Kolento has a more conservative playstyle. I would also say that these two players put on the best (at least most entertaining) games at tournaments as well as being all around great at the game.
You need to watch drunk/merry Kolento, when he's either had, or seemingly had, some alcohol, he's actually pretty funny, in a weird way :D very sarcastic and quick with responses to dodgy donation message. For example, one night someone donated with a message and added they were also an Ek0p sub, his response "Hmmm, Ek0p subs? a dying breed" ... haha, so dry, but clever.
Amaz's stream used to be great, but now he just over-acts and flips out at everything. He's become a parody of himself.
I think when Reckful streams that's some of the most entertaining Hearthstone on Twitch, and Reynad is hilarious, too. He's a parody of himself like Amaz (salt EVERYWHERE), but in a more entertaining way imo.
Reckful ... eurgh ... I know people like car-crash type viewing, it's like you know it's terrible, cringe-inducing, yet you can't stop ... but I don't rate him at all.
The only time I see anything of Amy is her hosting other streamers or acting as Mod in them - I thought she was just another bandwagon jumper tbh, riding other streamer's coat-tails, but apparently she's a great player?
People mostly watch female streamers (shitty Lea, Hafunudes or others) cause they are chicks... there is nothing else invoved. folks lets be serious and a bit mean: girls are shit in games comparing to male players. Thats the way it is. Exceptions confirms the general rule. period
Number makes no diference, more population = more idiots, therefore ever though we are more in numbers we also have more weak players. And yup i may be sexist but truth is truth even if painful :)

Blizzard introduced Hafu as one of the top 20 arena players in the world according to their statistics. I don't like her personality but she undeniably has game. The female streamers who wear tube tops and half-heartedly flirt with their eager/sad stable of sycophants fill me with disgust though. Twitch is a pretty sad sorry stage for loneliness and despondency really..
Lets not pretend that people watch female streamers for any other reason than to look at their cleavage. There's a reason why the girls dress like that and act "cute and quirky". All the neckbeard basement dwellers flock to them and throw subscription money at them as though it will somehow buy them digital sex. It's actually quite funny to see women complain about gender inequality when they can literally get paid to be pretty, and "pretty" has a relatively large berth on the internet.
I'm curious how a lot of you guys feel about the stream overlays and background music.
Personally I've found my favorite streamer is Day9, he doesn't do a bunch of *DING DING NEW SUB* on the screen shit, and just plays the game music. He also makes some fun ass decks and has a great personality. I don't expect to learn much off his stream though. I believe Kripp does the same thing, maybe he has a small overlay? He's got more skill than Day9 and I learn some things watching his stream occasionally.
Trump has a bunch of annoying shit on his stream, but he's also really good at explanations, so I think I learn the most from him.
Reynad can be kind of a dick, but he at least takes the time to analyze deck lists from donations which is cool of him. There's a lot of twitch cancer in his stream though.
But besides Kripp and Day9 I'm lost in a sea of background music and annoying overlays. Is there a market for a cleaner stream, or do most people enjoy the music and overlays? It just doesn't seem that popular for whatever reason...
Hell whatever happened to the streams with no webcam too? I don't need to see the casters face, he's just looking at the computer screen doing nothing, why do I need to see that?

Perhaps it has something to do with the prevalence of people like you? Although I must admit, it does seem to be a LOT worse in the U.S.
I guess it feels a little more personal to the viewer to see the streamer on cam? They do it in tournaments too, viewers like to see their reactions. I mean, you could broaden that to - Why every show the players in darts matches? Just show the board! or Poker players ... etc ..

Yeah good point, Day9's reactions are fun to watch.

Dog is probably the most sound out of the NA streamers. No BS, just does it straight, seems a nice guy, and is a decent player. I agree there.

I believe that's the definition of "guilty pleasure." lol
I find Kolento insanely overrated. He never sings naked on stream like he does on YouTube, he's so fake, the videos on YT are obviously edited.

dog is my favorite openly gay Hearthstone streamer, please join me in supporting his bravery in defying societal conventions
She's in the Tempo Storm team.
Like you, I also rate GuardsmanBob quite highly.

MagicAmy now is the the worst officially with the news coming out that she is a he!!!!
What?? I just looked up that and found something else going on re: Amy :/ bit of drama about ....

I think Trump is both a great player and entertaining.
