First of all, some of you may have noticed that I was supposed to post a puzzle last Friday but I did not. There are two reasons for this. I had a internet problem last week and had some trouble working on the puzzle. Also, last Friday there was a official livestream, and I though it would be OK if I did not post a puzzle since everybody would have a lot to discuss. Anyway, I apologize to anyone that was expecting a puzzle last Friday.
So here is the new puzzle. You are playing as the Druid against a Paladin player. Both players were able to lower their opponents health to 5, and put some big minions on the board. On his last turn, the Paladin played a secret but you don't know what the secret is. The objective of the puzzle is to win the game this turn, regardless of the secret card from your opponent. What this means is that you have to play around all the paladin's secret cards.
Euh, I've never really tried any of these, but I think I might be close to what would solve it. Got a vital question though, that I think makes the difference, cause I'm not 100% sure this card works like this.
Does Savage Roar also give 2 attack to your Hero (since it says Characters, and not just minions)? Or at least did you create the puzzle with that trait in mind?
Below solution is wrong, I think, since it figures all 4 are up and will trigger, not the unknown quantity of when only 1 is up and you don't know which one.
After further review, I think it HAS to, or I don't see a solution. IF it works like this it would lead to this solution:
1) Use Savage Roar, minions + Hero get +2 attack, 3 mana remaining.
2) Run Druid of the Claw into Fordring, triggering Noble Sacrifice, this summons a 2/1 Defender that is killed by the attack
3) 2/1 Defender dying triggers Redemption making it a 2/1 again (but no taunt or anything, so useless)
4) Run Ancient of Lore into Fordring, taking out his Divine Shield
5) Run Ironbark Protector into Fordring killing him (no more taunt on the board)
6) Use Bite giving your Hero a further 4 attack and 4 armor, no mana left
7) This should leave your Hero with 6 attack and 4 armor to run into the Enemy Hero. Your hero takes 6 damage in the attack, from triggering Eye for an Eye, but due to the armor you only lose 2 health, putting you at 3 health remaining with the Enemy Hero dead.
8) Win, yay!
9) the 4th untriggered Secret is Repentance, which you don't trigger cause you don't play any minions in your turn.
Hope this was the correct solution!
Notes: Added solution, I think :) (but it was wrong)
That's exactly how I thought the game would go with all 4 secret cards being able to be played. I thought the idea was to have only 1 secret being played though? or am I wrong?
Euh, yes, that probably IS the intention, and I got it completely wrong with my solution by solving it like all 4 are up >.<

1. Bite (3 mana left) 2. Kill recruit with hero 2a. If Redemption, recruit returns to life 2b. If Noble Sacrafice, kill the 2/1 instead 2c. If neither, we know secret is Eye for an Eye 3. Mark on Druid 4. Kill Tirion with Ironbark and Druid 5. Kill hero with Ancient
I think I got it, but as with the other puzzles I probably missed something. Can someone double check?
Play Savage Roar (4 Mana left) Attack Tirion with Druid of the Claw. If Noble Sacrifice is the Secret it will trigger now. Attack Tirion with Ancient of Lore removing his Divine Shield Attack Tirion with Ironbark Protector killing him. Play Bite. (1 mana left) Hero should now be at 6 attack (Bite 4 + Savage Roar 2 = 6) Finish off Uther
Play Savage Roar (4 Mana left) Attack Tirion with Druid of the Claw removing Divine Shield Attack Tirion with Ancient of Lore killing him. If Redemption is the Secret it will trigger now reviving Tirion. Attack Tirion with Ironbark Protector killing him Play Bite.
Play Bite (1 mana left) Attack Uther triggering Eye for an Eye. Uther gets 6 damage while you also get 6 damage but have 4 armor up.
Repentance can be ignored as no new minion is played. Only works if Tirion won't get Divine Shield back when he revives with Redemption. Not sure about that
@Gsharp:
As Tirion has Taunt you must kill him before you can attack the Recruit
Your last solution doesn't work. Uther has a 5 weapon from the deathrattle of Tirion, so you can't attack him with your hero or you'll die too. You can't attack with the Ironbark because that would be 10 damage and would also kill you too. If you move Ironbark earlier in the rotation, I think everything is copacetic then.
If Secret = Repentence then we win easily since we won't put a minion on the board, we'd just use our Hero Power + Bite to give our Hero 5 atk & 5 armor then we'd send Druid of the Claw & Ironbark Protector to get rid of Tirion & kill the Paladin with our Hero, he would retaliate for 5 dmg with his weapon that would take out our armor but we'd win.
If Secret = Noble Sacrifice
1. We won't put a minion on the board so Repentence is not a problem.
2. I simply use my Hero Power + Bite to give my Hero +5 Atk & +5 Armor.
3. The first thing that I do is attack Tirion with Druid of the Claw to see if his secret is Noble Sacrifice, if it is then a 2/1 minion spawns & I kill it.
4. I attack Tirion with Ancient of Lore to remove the Divine Shield then I kill him with Ironbark Protector which gives the Paladin a +5 atk weapon.
5. I kill the Paladin with my Hero doing 5 dmg & I take 5 dmg back from his weapon that goes through my armor & I win.
If Secret = Eye for an Eye
1. I simply use my Hero Power + Bite to give my Hero +5 Atk & +5 Armor.
2. Again I attack with my Druid of the Claw to see if his secret is Noble Sacrifice, it isn't. Druid of the Claw dies & Tirion loses Divine Shield.
3. I kill Tirion with Ironbark Protector to see if he has Redemption & he doesn't. Paladin now has a +5 atk weapon.
4. I kill the Paladin with Ancient of Lore for 5 dmg, he retaliates for 5 dmg with his weapon & kills Ancient of Lore. Eye for an Eye happens & hits my Hero for 5 which removes all my armor but my Hero stays alive & I win.
If Secret = Redemption then I think we cannot win if Tirion comes back with Divine Shield.
1. I simply use my Hero Power + Bite to give my Hero +5 Atk & +5 Armor.
2. Again I attack with my Druid of the Claw to see if his secret is Noble Sacrifice, it isn't. Druid of the Claw dies & Tirion loses Divine Shield.
3. I kill Tirion with Ironbark Protector to see if he has Redemption & he does. Tirion comes back with 1 hp & the Paladin has the +5 atk weapon.
4. I attack Tirion again using Ancient of Lore & he loses Divine Shield. Ancient of Lore dies.
5. At this point we cannot win. I could kill Tirion with my Hero & he would hit my Hero for 6, removed 5 armor & 1 hp but I wouldn't be able to kill the Paladin this turn.
I think that 3 of those Secrets gives us the Win. 1 of them doesn't. 75% win chance?
Your last solution doesn't work. Uther has a 5 weapon from the deathrattle of Tirion, so you can't attack him with your hero or you'll die too. You can't attack with the Ironbark because that would be 10 damage and would also kill you too. If you move Ironbark earlier in the rotation, I think everything is copacetic then.
A Hero should not be able to counter with his weapon if he is attacked during his oppoents turn. Check Fireside Dueal Warrior vs. Paladin for that Around 4:30. Or you can also see that in Rogue vs. Druid FIreside Duel at the second round for the rogue. So Uther has an Ashbringer but can only use it when its his turn. As such the solution should work
1) Attack with Druid of the claw on Tirion. 1.2)(If Noble sacrifice, Use savage roar and Bite, Use ancient and ironbark to kill Tirion and Druid to finish Uther) 2) If not Noble sacrifice Tirions bubble is popped 3) Use Bite (3 mana) 4) Give the recruit mark of the wild (1 mana) 5) Attack the recruit with the Druid (5 hp + 1 armor remaining) 5.2) (If Redemption, I assume the mark is removed when the recruit respawns, so it can be ignored now) 6) Use Ironbark to finish Tirion. 7) Use Ancient to finish off Uther (if eye for an eye, you have 1 hp left, otherwise 5+1)
If it was repentence it won't matter as you did not summon anything.
Not ENTIERLY sure that a redemptioned minion looses it's buffs, but can't find another way.
Swing at Tirion with the Druid of the Claw. 1 of 2 things happens:
1. Noble Sacrifice pops, you hit the 2/1 defender, it dies
2. Nothing happens and Tirion loses his Divine Shield
If 1 happens -
No more secret is there. Divine Shield is still there. Cast bite. Swing yourself into Tirion, removing Divine Shield. You go down to 3. Kill Tirion with Ironbark. Swing at Uther with Ancient of Lore for the win.
If 2 happens -
There is still a secret left. Cast Mark of the Wild on the Silver hand Recruit. Cast bite. Swing yourself into the Silver Hand Recruit, going down to 5 health and 1 armor. 1 of 2 things happens:
a. Redemption pops, bringing the Silver hand recruit back it it's original form, no taunt.
b. Nothing happens, the secret remains.
If a happens -
Swing the Ironbark into Tirion, killing him (his Divine Shield was lost when the Druid of the Claw attacked him in the "test" swing). Attack Uther with the Ancient of Lore, killing him.
If b happens -
The secret is either Eye for an Eye or Repentance. If it's Repentance, it will not pop. Swing the Ironbark into Tirion, killing him (his Divine Shield was lost when the Druid of the Claw attacked him in the "test" swing). Attack Uther with the Ancient of Lore, killing him. At the same time, if it is Eye for an Eye, it pops, dealing 5 damage to you, bringing you to 1. You win.
I'm pretty sure when tirion is redemptioned he will have divine shield again. I mean, it's card text just like taunt, why would he have one and not the other? But I don't think it's possible to win in that case, so I'm guessing the puzzle was made under the assumption he doesn't get DS back.
Nice puzzle, deceptively simple until you realize that Divine Shield, Taunt and Redemption make a nasty combo :)
Playing around Redemption while still making sure to keep enough HP for Eye for an Eye were the tougher parts in my opinion.
1- Attack Tirion with Druid of the Claw
a. If secret Noble Sacrifice procs
i. Defender dies from the attack
ii. Attack Tirion with Ancient of Lore to burst the bubble
iii. Attack Tirion with Ironbark Protector to kill him
iv. Play Bite and activate Hero Power (5 attack)
v. Attack hero with your hero to win
b. If no secret triggers, Tirion’s bubble is busted :
i. Play Mark of the Wild on the Recruit to give him taunt
ii. Play Bite (1 mana left)
iii. Attack the Recruit with your Hero to kill him (1 armor and 5 HP remaining)
iv. Wether a secret procs or not is now irrelevant and doesn’t change the next steps (Redemption will proc from recruit and he won’t have taunt anymore).
v. Attack Tirion with Ironbark Protector to kill him
vi. Attack Hero with Ancient of Lore (5 dmg) to win (if Eye for an Eye procs our Hero still has enough armor to survive)
So redemption returns a minion to the field with its base stats and abilitys.
It gets a new divine shield ect...which makes you think winning is impossible but...
he could have repentence, noble sacrific, eye for an eye, or redemption... I will ignore repentence cause it is pointless
All paths start the same and will be written as if I dont know the secret Path A(he has noble sacrifice): attack Tirion Fordring with druid of the claw. <Secret Activates> He now has no secret so the rest is easy Cast Bite: attack tirion(ouch) remove divine shield and now you have 4 hp left Finish tiron with protector finish pali with lore Grats you still have three mana!!!

I now know he doesnt have noble sacrifice SO... buff silver hand recruit with mark of the wild.(hmm this is weird) cast bite on malfurion Kill silver hand recruit with malfurion<Secret Activates> NOTE: malfurion has 5 hp and 4 armor prior to attack so now he has 5 hp and 1 armor silver hand comes back as a 1/1 Kill Tirion with ironbark protector Kill pali with Ancient of the lore
Path C(he has eye for an eye or he has repentence) attack Tirion Fordring wth druid of the claw. Trion loses shield. I now know he doesnt have noble sacrifice SO... buff silver hand recruit with mark of the wild.(hmm this is weird) cast bite on malfurion Kill silver hand recruit with malfurion. Well made puzzle. The trick is buffing your enemy and preparing for all out comes. The savage roar and mark of nature look so tempting it almost threw me off.
It took me about 10 mins to figure this out so... In a real game(with time limits) I would have lost this game(unless he had repentence secret LOL)

Uther gets 6 damage while you also get 6 damage but have 4 armor up.
Repentance can be ignored as no new minion is played. Only works if Tirion won't get Divine Shield back when he revives with Redemption. Not sure about that

5) attack the enemy hero for 5 dmg (if he has eye for an eye it triggers but only takes away our armor)
*repentance has no condition to trigger.
the secret is unknown but it's one secret. you have to counter all possiblities.
damn forgot about the taunt :D
Let me change your mind
Think I figured it out
1) Attack with Druid of the claw on Tirion.
1.2)(If Noble sacrifice, Use savage roar and Bite, Use ancient and ironbark to kill Tirion and Druid to finish Uther)
2) If not Noble sacrifice Tirions bubble is popped
3) Use Bite (3 mana)
4) Give the recruit mark of the wild (1 mana)
5) Attack the recruit with the Druid (5 hp + 1 armor remaining)
5.2) (If Redemption, I assume the mark is removed when the recruit respawns, so it can be ignored now)
6) Use Ironbark to finish Tirion.
7) Use Ancient to finish off Uther (if eye for an eye, you have 1 hp left, otherwise 5+1)
If it was repentence it won't matter as you did not summon anything.
Not ENTIERLY sure that a redemptioned minion looses it's buffs, but can't find another way.
EDIT: Some formatting
Should I think that the death of the noble sacrifice triggers the revive secret? And does redemption brings back divine shield?
Question on spoiler.
Charge does not make a minion ignore taunt. Thereby the solution is incorrect.
For Indioo's solution
Omg...that is real....gotta review my deck. thx dude.
1. Savage Roar, Bite
2. Druid of the Claw into Tirion, Trigger Noble Sac. or Lower Divine Shield
3. Attack Lore into Tirion, Lowering Divine Shield or Killing Him triggering Redemption
4. Attack Iron Bark into Tirion killing him if Redemption was secret
5. Attack hero into enemy hero for 6, leaving hero with 3 Health due to Armor if Eye for an Eye is Secret

This puzzle seems the easiest among all. Please correct me if my solution is wrong. Thanks.
1. Cast "Bite" and "Roar" 0/6 mana now
You have a 10atk, 6atk, 7atk and yrself 6atk
2. Your Hero atk > Silver hand recruit, should trigger secrets
3. No matter wt secret is out, your 10,7atk minions can finish Fordring first and then Uther with 6atk minion
Explaination on step 2
if
a) Noble Sacrafice / b) Redemption: your hero trigger it, then 2 of your minion can kill Fordring and remaining 1 kill Uther
c) Eye for an eye > your bite give you +4armor, wont die for it since you atk Uther with 6atk minion
d) Repentance > wont trigger at any cases
Thanks for the puzzles!
#edit1 for gramma

silver hand comes back as a 1/1
Kill Tirion with ironbark protector
Kill pali with Ancient of the lore

attack Tirion Fordring wth druid of the claw. Trion loses shield.
