Did someone come out with a new deck or play them and stomp at a tournament or something because 2 or 3 days ago I played against maybe a druid in every 8-10 games now they're more abundant then hunters. Or Is this just some coincidence and nothing has really changed
Step 1: Everyone plays Dr. Boom since he is awesome-sauce Step 2: Everyone plays Big Game Hunter to counter it decently Step 3: Players seek cards that don't die to BGH while being about as powerful as Dr. Boom
And druids have plenty of threats like Ancient of War with none that die to BGH!
Druid was the first class I took to when I started playing. That was in Beta, I have golden Druid for a while now. I stopped playing it for ages because I got bored of it really, but I have been dipping back into it lately. Because it's so solid against all the crazy decks that srang forth last few months. It'll always be solid.
A lot of the time i notice increase in certain classes depending on what the popular streamer on twitch.tv is playing at the time and seeing as Trump was playing druid earlier.... that could be a cause for this.
Every 4 out of 5 of my matches even at Rank 10 is some sort of Druid whether it be Ramp, Combo, or a Mill druid here and there. I'm finding hard to play around Combo (if they have it because some versions run one in their Ramp :/)

Druids have always been more common ranks 1-5 because they can be built to easily hold off aggro and have reasonable match-ups across the board. If the meta is a mess or aggressive on a particular day then you can turn to it. The fact that they play quite linear and the druid vs druid match-up is so miserable to play means that people get tired of it easily and they all tend to bunch up on the ladder, staying afloat above the aggro melange while not having what it takes to break through without a long grind.
Still at rank 12 facing the same mix of Hunters, Palladins, Warlocks, and Mages with a few Druids and Warriors. Tonight I played my first match against a Shaman in weeks. I imagine a few ranks up there's nothing but CW, Druids, and maybe Priests with all the lgdrys, probably because they're all more consistent long term. One more observation: practically everybody who placed in all major tournaments thus far played Druid, because it works against almost everything.

Maybe it's your worst matchup, and you were winning too much. Imo it's rigged that way.
Hunter may be worse against Druid however getting wild growth or even a zombie chow is crucial. Hunter still has an advantage but if you let it get pass turn 7 without killing druid than it could be over for you.
It's probably because magicamy wrote on Tempo Storm that ramp druid (without combo) is currently the best deck. In another week people will start running The Black Knight again and suddenly ramp druid will be less powerful again. And the endless cycle will continue.
It's a bit cynical of me to conclude that people at ranks 5-1 are all playing a deck based on what one player wrote in an article on some website, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's actually what people did seeing as people who are really high rank follow the game and news very closely, and people really take magicamy's opinion (and Tempo Storm in general) pretty seriously.

I'm guessing you are between rank 1-6? Last night I played against 70% ramp druid. The meta changes so fast.

Variance. Your experience on the ladder does not necessarily constitute change or indicate a "shift in the meta".
M'kay. Strange that I would face so many ramp/taunt druids in the last 24 hours, and maybe 3 hunters and no zoo.
i always play druid but i shifted from token druid to ramp druid and now i am around rank 2

The meta changes so fast. We'll see The Black Knight in every deck sooner or later.
Druid was popular at all ranks and all month in EU.

You're correct OP. The meta is turning to Ramp Druid as it's about the most consistent deck at the higher ranks right now,
that seems like a perfect world for me, i really wonder why you are complaining.

My comments refer mostly to the wild format.
I've started including TBK again, since I tend to run into a lot of druids and their taunted 5/10 trees.
