I cannot beat Priests on my Hand Lock anymore. They can out damage me, out defend me and even out burst me, my 9 hp giants mean nothing as they kill them with ease. Did Priests really get that strong this meta? I have not faced any Priests until I logged onto my Hand L
IDK wat /i am doing wrong then. If I drop below 18hp for any class i am dead the next turn or turn after. Priests steal my cards, kill my giants with ease and can even do 16-18 damage in one turn.
The Priests are extremely weak to aggro, so a lot of priest are shifting to a more midrange set up which is weak against Handlocks. If you see the old control priest, then they are pretty good against handlock.
Erm. Well you need to get twilight drake in your opening hand but then what are they going to do? Nothing. Twilight drake completely wrecks priest. Never play mountain giant first because of BGH.
I guess the biggest strategy is to try and play your molten giants at some point as well before you jaraxxus. Don't jaraxxus until the very end of the game when they can't harisson your weapon without overdrawing themselves to death. Usually they are forced to play harisson before you drop Jaraxxus.
Though Vol'jin is a big bummer against handlock, killing another giant for free and basically giving the priest an extra giant of their own. Pretty brutal. Definitely not as free a win as it used to be before GvG, especially since now handlock don't have 2x ancient watcher which was pretty good against priests.
Priest is relatively weak in this meta but it got much better against Handlock. Match-up improved to the point that I would actually say it's near a 50:50, if Priest plays correctly. Twilight Drake is still a problem, but with Velen's Chosen and Auchenai + Light of Naaru help Priest killing it in the early game and Priest can potentially steal it with Shrinkmeister + Cabal. 4+ giants was a problem but we're in a BGH meta and Priest got Lightbomb as an extra removal. Jaraxxus is still a huge problem for Priest, but again, Lightbomb helps a lot.
Play it as a control matchup, don't overextend your board. Priest have least threaths then you (normally) so you want the game to get drown as long as possible.
Getting out Twilight Drake asap is a strong play, since they struggle dealing with 4 attack minion.

never play more than one giant unless you really really have to.
Stay alive to play jaraxxus.
Win.

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.
